I'm just gonna note one more time: Athleticsm doesn't usually help with this much at all. You can take it, it's a fine skill, but it's for out of combat stuff mainly. It does not help this concept as stated.
I mean, the running and acrobatics seem like a pretty useful thing for combat, no? After all, speed is one of the most important factors in a battle.

I still want the durability, as well as the ability to regrow lost limbs and the like, given a Knights lifespan, we're pretty likely to take debilitating injuries at some point, guaranteed recovery seems like a great asset when it comes to our time in service.

There are options to heal outside of this, but yes, you wouldn't need to take them if you had Eadig

[X] Trickster Knight

I like this one, also being a one woman barrage of arrows sounds fun.

Variation on the initial idea, swaps Athleticism for Horsemanship as I want more combat murderblender

You want to give QMs a pet that will hold chat hostage?

If you get a warhorse, it will be a cultivator. Which is not to say it will never be threatened (it will), but it'll be human-level intelligent and in the same rough power level bracket you are.

If you need to run from one battle to another, sure. Sprinting within the same combat would not generally involve an Athletics roll, or any roll at all other than maybe Combat to dodge.

As the one writing the combat system, I am telling you to not take Athleticism for its in-combat uses. They are niche at best.

Some bloodline ideas (though I really like the flint one myself)

[] You are Audrey Haegthorne. Long ago, one of your ancestors slew a great serpent and through the grace of God, absorbed the venom the serpent breathed instead of dying from its power. Ever since, those of your bloodline have been able to absorb poisons and other corruptive essences - your flesh and blood becoming dangerous as more is absorbed. (A reference to Rappacini's daughter)

[] You are Audrey Daegriman. Your family claims to trace its lineage to the ancients that created Stonehenge to track the movement of the sun and stars. Whatever the truth, you were born with a glittering radiance in your eyes and body that you can stoke, making yourself blinding to behold or summoning scorching beams of light.

[] You are Audrey Endagas. Your family's lineage traces itself to Roman settlers who came to Britain long ago, and took with them the cult of Proserpina. Whether there is truth to the rumors that your family bears blood from the ancient goddess none can say, but your bloodline contains a control over vital fertility and the shadow of death, allowing blighting and withering but also blooming and healing.

To be honest, I'm not super enthused by the double sin character

But I'm here to kill people

[X] Plan: With A Rock Or A Sword
-[X] Eotenslaga
-[X] Athleticism
-[X] Combat
-[X] Precision
-[X] Brock Howlande

This is frankly no frills, but eh, we're not branch family, we have resources and we can train up the rest if need be

This is me leaning really hard into strengths, especially with our double sin trigger button and the Enemy. Thankfully we haven't done tongue-tied, haha...

Eotenslaga to figure out vulnerabilities, Precision to hit them, Athleticism and Combat to synergize further with our Fortitude to destroy our enemies

There's probably ways to balance our build, but I want to get our engine up and running as soon as possible. I want to face down a dragon and not flinch from the challenge.

Edit: Apparently Athleticism doesn't help with in-combat mechanics, but I still think swift mobility unreliant on others is still pretty useful, and just plain being strong beyond normal ken is not something that'll ever be detrimental.

Tactics'll be a fair bit more useful on the wider-scale end and definitely useful I feel if we want to figure out how to 1vfuck you amount of enemies, or where to place ourselves for maximum effect, but I want to leverage personal-grade ability to the max as much as possible lol

Huh Gabriel Blackstone, its 8993 so he would be 40 ish? And he managed to make living legend status in like 15 years which if I'm remembering right is crazy fast for Christian cultivation.

[X] Plan The Unbreakable Shield

I'll be approval voting, below is my current list of priorities in descending order of deal-breakerness, haven't read plans yet.

[ ] Eadigflaesc

I will only be voting for plans with this, it has nothing to do with mechanics and entirely because it's the most obnoxiusly Welsh sounding name.

[ ] Tactics
Information is power, and being good at Tafl is neat because Norsemen play it too and I have an unlikely dream scene of getting some barbarian to agree to do a game of Tafl in lieu of a champion's battle.

[ ] Wesley Waltone
I like both Hama and alliterating names.

[ ] Administration
[ ] Precision

Well, these are certainly interesting options. Considering the build from my previous plan winning, I'm gonna go with the following:

[X] Plan: An Old Knight To Teach A Monster
-[X] Eotenslaga
-[X] Combat
-[X] Tactics
-[X] Diplomacy
-[X] Reinald Vieux

This should hone Audrey's existing potential to a finer edge.

Eotenslaga + Combat + Tactics when combined should work wonders for someone who has the ability to become a superb front-line leader. And. Well. Also keep them alive when they almost certainly try to step beyond their own limits, because Ira + Superbia is a thing. Either by narrowly avoiding death, or by killing the thing trying to kill her first.

Meanwhile, Diplomacy is there to first of all faciliate things before combat in preparation. Because, for example, having allies who like you is, surprisingly, quite useful. But is also important outside of it, because we are playing as a woman in a setting that isn't likely to give them much room for social (or other) mistakes in a role of a knight.

Reinald was my pick for the teacher, because him being a good at everything means he can bring forth very good synergies out of the the many-talented Audrey. Leave no weakness to exploit for our enemies (especially when it comes to the one Enemy from the Flaw we picked). And even if the lack of Hama is bit of a bummer, that wasn't the focus of this build in the first place.

...Also, I find the idea of a sour old knight interacting with whom Audrey seems to be shaping up to be a bit funny.

EDIT: forgot to add the "Plan" in front of the vote.

we took a lot of drawbacks, so to get through the tutorial taking the most experienced mentor makes sense, even if he can't help us with english specific advanced stuff.
