[X] The Infinite Truth
-[X] Send Visions (5 Points)
--[X] Oud Oudia Raskian: The Dark Age of Technology as you knew it, the wonders and horrors of knowledge that even the Mechanicus at its height did not know. The signing of the Treaty of Mars, and your own manifestation as Omnissiah before the Magos of that era. The progressive factions of the Mechanicus, who operated with your blessings during the Great Crusade, and the service they rendered to humanity and the Quest for Knowledge. The blade of the Enemy, blinding one eye of the Mechanicus, luring them to twin sins of regression and rebellion, diverting them from the path. A occulary of golden and ethereal clockwork, which you integrate seamlessly into Raskian's bleeding eyesocket, that he and all the Mechanicus might see anew. Flashes of the Choral Engine's location and similarity to the Golden Throne, hidden STCs, guardsmen of the Solar Auxilia who's kit would put any Skitarii to shame. Yourself-As-Omnissiah, rising new and whole from a repaired golden throne, blessing Raskian for what he has done.
-[X] Guide the Tarot (1 Point)
--[X] Magi attending the pilgrimage: The same cards for everyone, no matter how many times they draw on the surface of Mars - MAGUS - REVELATION - FAMILIA HUMANA - GREAT EYE. Raskian speaks your truth, the Mechanicus is an integral part of humanity and must protect it, Chaos approaches.
-[X] Blessing
--[X] Oud Oudia Raskian (1 Point): Charisma and the apparant blessing of the Motive Force to work mechanical wonders, that he might prove himself your chosen.
--[X] The Lamenters (2 Points): Fortune and fortitude whenever they aid those most in need.
--[X] Fidus Kryptman (1 Point): The light of clarity and discernment, triumphing over fear. None who might be spared can be lost, if the depthless storm is to be overcome.
I'm not sure we have a enough tech knowledge to make the best use of the Admech like this right now and fundmentally 2 points on the Lamenters is a waste. I like them, they're good boys, but in the grand scheme of things they don't matter enough to justify two points.

We're not going to do it, the Mechanicus are going to do it. It's a big, slow ball to start rolling. We'll give them more information as we can gain and spare it.

We've been warned to help the common person and take time to save some starfish, futile though it is. I had thought about blessing all the sons of Vulkan, but obviously that's such a large group that even a 10 point blessing would be diluted heavily. I don't see how it helps either, but if the Star Child thinks we need to empower those with good hearts and not make everything about ruthless utility, I can think of no one better to start with than the Lamenters.

In the long term, we might be able to reform the Imperial Cult to be more positively humanist as a way of helping common people, but there's not really fitting any of that in here.

This has hammered in the fact that the voices are important and we have to work with them as best we can.

-[X] Commune (10 points)Lion El'Jonson: "Wake up, My Son/My Loyal Knight/The First, your wounds are healed and your slumber is at an end. I/Your Sons/The Imperium have need of you once more. Wake up, tell your sons they have my forgiveness, and find those who have wandered but may yet be saved, and prepare them for Cadia/for the Hive Fleets/for the wars to come. Wake Up.
Here's hoping this doesn't get the Dark Angels away from the Plaguefleet b/c without them the Death Guard might carry out their plot to go back in time to the Horus Heresy to get a Traitor win

My question is, do we know when the events of dawn of war winter assault, dark crusade, soul storm and retribution happen?

I would posit why @MSH 's Lamenters thing is good.

Morally: The Lamenters are good people.
Synchronization: the Lamenters will, with any luck, be benefitting from the gene vault soon enough along with the other Sons of Sanguinius.
True Star Child stuff: if we were to simply provide too little too late in blessing Celestine that just would be trying to make up for a mistake. To show we are truly hearing the Star Child, we should act to help common citizens as we intended so long ago, by making transhuman exemplars that can be heroes, not monsters or overlords.

The Lamenters DESERVE the blessing is the thing for me. If we are to make the Imperium a kinder place, we need men like them.

We can even knock out two birds with one stone here.

We want Huron Blackheart dead. The Lamenters were his unwitting pawns when he went rogue, following those they thought were their friends into treason.

Give the Lamenters our blessing, one they have fucking EARNED, and send them to take Blackhearts head.

That could be pretty fun. Getting the Lamenters' Penitent Crusade revoked (maybe force the Minotaurs to give them their Fortress-Monastary back) and have them, the Executioners, and the Mantis Warriors redeem themselves by hunting down Huron Blackheart.

I suspect Kryptman is probably still gong to do extremely dangerous and destructive things to slow down the Nids. My hope is that the blessing will make him tunnel vision less and understand that the Imperium must fight an effective retreating action rather than jumping straight to Exterminatus and empowering the orks.

Ultimately, starvation hurts the Nids more than anything, but militant resistance will worsen the situation for them. A little less paranoia and bloodthirst should make Kryptman understand that. The worlds are likely still doomed, but there's a chance the Hive will decide this front is dangerously difficult to feed on and shift.

As for the Lamenters, call the 2 point blessing a trial run. If they show potential, hammer them with 5 more and send the Chapter Master a vision of him offering Blackheart's head to the Golden Throne in penance.

Honestly, if we really wanna fuck up the tyrannies, we better weaponry for both the navy and the army as a whole. While the Lasgun is great, we need something way better than mass flashlight firepower. Like repeating (and stable) plasma guns or Gauss rifles.

Or better combat doctrines, if I remember right, the tau target larger tyranid bioforms which makes the tyranids waste precious biomass trying to produce more, leaving them vulnerable to tau counter attacks.

I'm gonna be honest: I don't know if three blessings will be enough for those guys.
To add to the above: it's also a trial run to see if we're getting the right idea as far as the Star Child's pleas to help people for the sake of helping, not solely what is most expedient to humanity's survival.

And the Lamenters have gotten a really rough deal despite their ideals and commitment to decency, while being just one measly Space Marine Chapter, and thus largely unremarkable in the grand scheme of things.

Tau doctrine works at least until the Tyranids get wise and adapt a means to counter it like using fake synapse creatures to draw their fire. Both updating tactics and weaponry will have an effect but it certainly wouldn't solve the issue due to Tyranid adaptability.

It's only a temporary stop gap measure. It won't stop them immediately but it will slow them down by a good bit until we can find better weaponry.

Tyranids are tough fuckers, it'll take something in the scale of the Halo rings to do some major damage.
