[X] The Last and First Gunslinger of Atlantia

A tie to the girl we died to save, to our role, and to a dream, while also being weird and poetic, maybe? I honestly would have liked a big of time for people to argue their cases, but if we're just posting shit right off the bat...

That was an amazing update - you introduce Solomon really well, as this experienced gunslinger whose name has already been etched into the city as a living legend.

A giant in pale plate, his face hidden behind a snarling wolfshead helm, a great cloak of frozen fur hanging from his back and gnawing at his arm. You always wondered what the Emperor's angels would look like, when they came to ferry you on, but somehow you were expecting something else.

That is... quite the Deathlord. Makes perfect sense, it must be said? Of course the Deathlord's in this would be, well

those born of the everdead and neverdying power of the Emperor.

Leman has a really good vibe here, tho.

"Hey there, killer," the giant says, his words clipped and crude as any Infernus rogue, "got a job for you, if you're interested."

You're not averse to paying work, but you're a bit busy to be taking on new commissions now. Would have to be one hell of a pitch to be worth your time, given the circumstances.
This is probably the best starting line of any post-mortem bargain I've heard yet.

Change it up a little to include good ones.

This one though is just a gag.

[X] The Shot From Paradise

The joke writes itself.

They say Astartes can't feel fear? I can't wait for the day when we give those brainwashed manchildren a re-introduction course to fear.

Also thought of two others.

[X] The Man With No Name
[X] The Gun With No Name

This is me being increasingly silly.

Not sure about the names with Atlantia since I don't think MC has ever been there, just made stories about it.

...yes? And?

Trying to make stories real, trying to make stories of a paradise that never existed a real thing...

That's the point? This is Exalted.

The wretched of the earth, throughout history, have made up names for paradises. For places of plenty and happiness and glory that cannot be found on this side of the Earthly Veil.

The Oponskoye Kingdom, also known as Belovodye, Iriy, Cockaigne, there are a lot of different versions of the same place in the dreams of peasants living under what seemed like endless and ceaseless oppression, oppression where you could know your great-great-great-grandparents lived under similar conditions.

So is it any surprise that the Worst Regime in History that has lasted ten thousand years, people create such places in their stories and cultures as Atlantia?

No, no it isn't.

But the moment of change, the moment of transformation, was in part people trying to fight to bring dreams into this world. It did not always end well, don't get me wrong, but to be a Gunslinger of Atlantia is to be a person who has made themselves the subject and citizen only to, and of, a Better World. Someone who does violence, and hell will there be a lot of violence, in the name of something that when the common people hear it they will understand, even if they don't Believe.
