Well as long as the militarists in Japan aren't in charge that goes a long way in normalizing relations.

Seems like Wu Peifu and Zhang Zhuolin are starting to buddy up. Good thing we have the Guanxu Emperor as a card to play in messing with their plans.

The Xin Han are just absolutely stomping us at the whole making money thing. We need an equalizer and fast.

The poll only has half as many voters as it did last time right now. The current results are 9 to 0 on agriculture vs industry, 7 to 2 on recreating republican institutions vs reforming Taiping institutions, 5 to 4 on building a republican administration vs relying on local power brokers, 8 to 1 on NRA vs Liu Xiang in Sichuan, 7 to 2 on Liu Xiang vs NRA in Guizhou.

Overall it seems we have a solid consensus on almost all the issues, with the main point of contention being whether to rely on the local powerbrokers in Guizhou or to build a republican administration there.
 
Its a weird set of Chinas this timeline. Wonder what the other factions specialize in since the republic is very keen on keeping everyone fed.

Specialize in what sense? The other factions are: The Qing being the previous regime and something of a rump state in North East China, has an industry. Xin Han what I think is the favorite of the Imperial Powers, likely the richest and most industrialized, and generally the biggest threat of the Republic. Shandong which is under the Dogmeat General, supported by the Germans, and is generally centered around the whims of the Dogmeat General.
 
I see two names in the poll that I don't recognize, Cal and someone who literally entered "Name". Their votes haven't actually altered the results of the poll, but I am still curious who they're from and if I need to be deleting them from it if I can't confirm that they're actually participating in this quest.

EDIT: Also a question that I only just remembered to ask. Where do Liu Xiang's forces receive their supplies from anyway? While I imagine the NRA would have a lot of trouble with supplying their troops in Guizhou, I'm curious how Liu Xiang's troops would fare in their place. I've been assuming they would be supplied from Sichuan, which is a lot closer than the NRA getting theirs from further north.

Most of Liu Xiang's supplies come from the diminished Chengdu Arsenal, and it would be somewhat difficult for him to keep his troops supplied from Sichuan if they're stationed in Guizhou. In comparison to the NRA's supply line situation though, they're the lucky ones :p

Yeah that's about what I expected. Still not great, but much easier than it would be for the NRA. So there's another reason why to send Liu Xiang's troops to Guizhou instead of the NRA.
