While only Second husband, I recommend Backdoor to Everything, simply because it has a better chance winning, but at least includes a marriage with Lihua
I'm voting for it because the cousin gives similar soft power and latitude as marrying Lihua, where First Husband adds a bunch of extra problems and obligations, but Second Husband is less appealing as an even more cynical partnership for political benefits/minmaxing. Meihua seems like a sweet lady that can have actual romance relatively untainted by political circumstances. Euphy thinks it's the most realistic and workable idea.

Both of the [Plan Land Grab] are not viable plans since they doesn't fill Charles requirement of marrying Lihua OR access to the Thought Elevator. Also have you considered looking at the alternative versions of [X] Plan A Better China = [X] Plan A Better China(as Second Husband) ?

I'm voting for it because the cousin gives more soft power and latitude than marrying Lihua, where First Husband adds a bunch of extra problems/burdens, but Second Husband is less appealing as an even more cynical partnership for political benefits/minmaxing. Meihua seems like a sweet lady that can have actual romance relatively untainted by political circumstances.
But whether it's Lihua or Meihua, and marriage would be completely political at the beginning, with the added problem with Meihua that she will be completely trapped in it, with no way for her to decide she wants to marry someone else without risking a major diplomatic accident, because even if we wouldn't make an issue out of it, someone in Britannia would make an issue out of her wanting a divorce if it doesn't work out.
With Lihua, while the marriage would still exist, she would still have Xingke.
Land Grab with formal Title is not a viable plan since it doesn't fill Charles requirement of marrying Lihua OR access to the Thought Elevator. Also have you considered looking at the alternative versions of [X] Plan A Better China = [X] Plan A Better China(as Second Husband) ?
Because it's unnecessary? Like I pointed out we are one personal action away from just owning the Crowns PMC outright and then we can just give our knights land near Botany Bay and New Avalon which are settlements both controlled by the Crowns. According to the map there's a ton of nice green land to the west of New Avalon.
A really important fact is that we will most likely need to do a Diplomacy action to fulfill our deal with Area 8 governor which on a good roll might allow us to buy more shares so we don't just have a slim majority.
Which will result in opening the area to our business interests because according to the Pirate Dossier the Crowns were
they have been known to harass the interests of nobles who try to open up the area to new trading groups or industries not controlled by 'their' dukes or allied political factions.
So with us being their backer we can basically open the area from Avalon to Botany Bay to our investments and granting land. Taking into account Tasmania is a Duchy we will be able to easily carve out some nice landed titles for our followers.
And with the Crowns (who are the most likely faction to be bought off before now) we can secure ports belonging to La Cosa Nostra. With their destruction the other pirate factions lose a lot of their established black market contacts. I believe we could gobble up all the minor factions on the east coast in 2-3 turns with the Crowns being secured. Especially if we combine naval and land combat with Intrigue actions.
Personally, if it weren't for the 'First Husband' option I would wholeheartedly put my backing on [X] Plan A Better China. There's only 4 plans that pick the Stewardship position right now:
- Plan A Better China
- Plan: Imperial Alliance & Mutual Benefits
- Plan Alliance without Imperial Marriage (Stewardship edition)
- Plan A Better China(As Second Husband)
I'm voting for most of those, because ultimately I'm willing to compromise on the marriage and even the defense treaty I really don't like. I think you need to ask yourself what's really important. You agree with me on Stewardship, and it's clearly a much more permanent and important distinction of how the quest interacts with China and Lihua than whether we are the first or second husband.
In all honesty the vote has become a little too centered around the marriage, which to be fair, is a big deal, but not the whole vote. People need to look at the longterm more. We have the integration of three cities worth of high piety focus society that's going to make China Piety pretty redundant.
Control over a superpolity's economic development and it's impact on Pacific ocean trade and Britannia politics is a much more sensible choice with that in mind. Especially when you consider the security risks of less secure Piety facilities in mainland china over the secure coasts of australia we can better defend and monitor.
At this point we are marrying someone for a notable degree of political influence in the CF regardless of which votes wins. The position we hold dictate how we effect the CFs development, and Stewardship is superior to piety when it comes to broad impact and furthering HBE&CF relations, and to best earn Lihua's affection and trust by aiding her peoples recovery from the war.
I am compromising to try and ensure this happens, perhaps you should consider doing the same. Rarely can we have everything we want.
That's probably the best argument I've seen for First Husband so far, Lelouch is probably a *lot* more prepared than Xingke for the role in terms of being her public partner on the world stage.
But those projects mean more to lihua and can earn us her trust and affection for doing well, and I imagine over time meeting her expectations would resolve enough issues and engender enough trust to start freeing up AP for further personal projects.
So, out of curiosity, why are most people deciding not to ask for some form of fiefdom, be it Guangdong or India? Our knights expect to be landed sooner or later and having a fief could greatly fund many of Lelouch's future endeavors, I'm not nesscarily seeing a downside beyond additional commitments in actually governing said fief.
Because we could literally have land to give them by the end of this turn or the end of next between owning the crowns and beginning to follow up on absorbing the weaker pirates next turn. We have fewer than 5 dozen knights and it's not like their all expecting earldoms.
Meanwhile the minister position is some free ap and the authority to influence some of Lihua's new regime's development. Personally stewardship is best in my opinion because we are set to absorb a piety focus small nation in new heaven in a few turns.
Also I feel as if pursuing an alliance between the Federation and Brittania is going to antagonize Europe, and if there was a Plan Partnership without Alliance and substitute tax break or something instead I would take that.
[] Plan A Better China(as second husband) has neither of those and we do have approval voting. It includes resource extraction and research foundation as well as stewardship minister position.
Second husband isn't a bad choice, but Meihua gives us major in's with China and likely a decent start on LiHua SL. Plus we wouldn't have as many obligations or expectations.
We already have a very strong lihua SL because china was a crisis event which means removed limits on SL gain. Just marrying lihua second was going to be enough to get us maximum in her graces before more than 2 dozen rolls over 100 in successes to accomplishing things that benefit her during the chinese invasion crisis event. Even if we marry her 1st we probably start with an SL somewhere from 6 to 8.

Here you. Personally if people instead of insisting on only second marriage focused on passing a marriage to lihua by voting for Plan A Better China, we would likely pull far ahead. I'm not supporting Backdoor because I prefer stewardship admin because we already have the Absorption of A high piety organization in new heaven ahead of us.
It seems more critical to get our hooks into the worlds most resource and wealth rich nation than to get their likely under developed piety admin. It seems likely a marriage is going to pull ahead by sheer amount of overall voters who want it, so it's time in my opinion to shift to focus on what the nature of our position in the CF is beyond Lihua's husband.
because i was only commenting that i think that second consort is actually the best option and not the runner up as implied in the question
but to answer it now the only advantage the meihua marriage has is that it doesnt rock the boat but doest give many benefits
first consort gives us the right to father the first child on lihua and make our children inherit the chinese throne along with some prestige but in exchange requires us to fullfill ceremonial duties and the like which will make the action economy for personal actions even worse (cause our duties would likely fall in that field)
and lastly is the postion as second consort where lihua will get the chance to birth xonges baby first, which will make her bend over backwards to reward in other ways, and we dont have to attend events unless we want and they fit into our schedule while still giving us most of the prestige we would get as first consort

While I would also prefer that a Plan with Stewardship wins, I'm willing to compromise on that as long as we get a minister position (even though piety is honestly my least preferred one), and either First or Second Husband gets choosen. While A better China is my favourite, I'm okay with Backdoor to Everything winning.
My main thing is I want to interact with Lihua, as she is a character who doesn't get much if any attention outside of this quest. That said, I'm compromising and voting for plans with either husband order, because ultimately I'm fine being either position of consort as long as our means of interacting with CF beyond Lihua is a stewardship one, as we have an impending option for upping our piety that is more developed and requires less ground work to build up coming soon.

This is a fair take, but it is still only hour 9 of 48, with 39 hours to go. What I'm saying is it seems likely that a Marriage to lihua option will maintain a lead at this point, and advising that we need to consider other aspect of the vote and be prepared to shift as the deciding criteria for which vote passes shifts away from from the marriage.

I'll sleep on it and see how the voting turns out before making a decision, it just feels really ... bothersome to go for First Husband but you do make some decent arguments that it could work. I'm willing to budge on the formal treaty and compromise with [X] Plan A Better China(as Second Husband) but that seems even less popular.

i am more willing to compromise in regards to the piety advisor (as long as my other requirements are met) than i am willing to take the position of first consort because i dont want anything to do with the commitments (personal actions locked in) attached to that position

Yeah. I'm just thinking of all the things we can do with a fourth or even fifth stewardship action for ourselves, like invest in Carine's Canal to pry her from Guin, just to piss off Guin and her mom.
Getting our civilian economy and infrastructure properly developed and running in Australia is going to be intensive process after all.

Oh right, just to clarify - sneaking Kallen's family to her is not an option because she is not looking for a vacation - Kallen is looking for familiarity away from her obligations. So visiting Japan is the only choice, a 'vacation' elsewhere doesn't count. This is paraphrased Slayer WoG.

its gonna take a long while till we rebuild and modernized the CF so dont bet on using those dice for personal projects unlike the piety ministry postion where the demands are going to be in something like "do something usefull" and "dont harm the citizen with risky experiments" which gives us more freedom to pick up shiny options instead of being reuired to spend all our actions as dictated by the needs of our duties

well, it technically fullfills all my requirements but i wonder why we would need the monopoly on ressource extraction?
cause we will already get a generous stipend for our ministry position so wont necessarily need the immense profits and are likely able to acuire all the eezo in china because so far nobody knows whats it for
and in case they do figure it out the would revoke the monopoly very quickly because its too high value to leave in our hands

We are going to have at least an AP for personal projects, and even the AP not for personal projects helps us generate good will towards lelouch and trust from lihua. Meanwhile Lihua's piety could be incredibly bare bones and need a turn or two just to develop the facilities we have on our Island, and even once we have them, their likely much less secure than our ones on new caledonia, and mass producing beneficial psionic tech in china is going to raise our Priority on the anti-psionic hit list.
Take all of that and add it to the rendundancy of china piety when we will soon absorb new heaven in a few turns and we end up over focused on piety when we need extra stewardship to properly develop Australia once we defeat the pirates, and Stewardship starts to shape up as the superior minister position.
Let's us keep what we are extracting discrete, so people don't ask what this blue element Lelouch is securing for himself is so useful for. As long as we aren't selling it lihua won't be paying attention to what we extract.

i doubt that we can rise on the various hitlists because we are the lynchpin for the chinese- britannian alliance in the making while also showing off our psionic talent
short of charles, victor or c.c. there are not gonna be any that are ranked higher in their priority list and openly making a new psionic facility isnt gonna change that

in the middle term i agree with you that stewardship will likely help us more build up our base but right now we will have loads of required projects that were all best done yesterday and what helps us more in the really long term is very much up in the air and a piety postion give even better boni because we are able to use the thought elevators for large scale construction
in the end its a decion of specialising in one field to the exclusion of everything else and achieve even greater feats in it or focusing on several fields to create synergy effects between the disciplines

if we acquire a monopoly on it then people are gonna question why we wanted a monopoly on it, meanwhile if we buy it on the market build a mine for it then it could be seen as excentic behaviour or trying to diversify our portfolio

That put's us on Europe's list, but apparently Europe and the Anti-Mentalists aren't entirely the same. If we begin distributing Psionic tech that raises the amount of resources they will commit.
I'd say new heaven is currently higher than us and we don't know what exists in African unions, MEF, or india.

We have a monopoly on general resource extraction, and Eezo is found among Rare Earth Elements. As long as we extract and sell the Rare earth elements, or use them for something publicly, people will assume that's our motivation. Currently Lihua thinks we will aim for Sakuradite extraction.

NH might have more power right now but we got the higher potential for growth and thats true regardless of us publicly researching psionics cause by now they habe to habe realized that we have jaegar in our retinue
Both africa and the mef are anti-psionic which is why we were able to find and recruit tge medic siblings and india is part of the cf and you just spent a long time declaring that the psionics in the cf are so underdeveloped...
