[]The Grass Earth Route: Grass has always been an opportunistic bunch, but they have always been lax on border security, as well as several dozen other stupid shit if the stories you heard from Ayako were true. But in the last war, they were opportunistic against Earth Nin, and they have a heavily guarded border, with a lot of trade and merchant traffic. Maybe you could sneak in.
"Are we there yet?" Naruto chirped as you continued to walk towards the border. This was the fifth time that he asked in the last hour. And it was really starting to grate your patience. Sasuke however did not have your level of self-control.
"Would you shut up Naruto!" He shouted as he walked next to Naruto and punched his shoulder. "We have been walking for three days, we will get to the border eventually, and asking if we are near it is not going to make us get there any faster!"
"But if someone can tell me where we are on the map, I would stop asking, believe it!" Naruto shot back. Naruto may be competent, but you would never say he would be wise. Especially since Yakumo and you were carrying the maps and the scroll.
Yakumo shook her head and facepalmed. "Sensei, are you going to do something about this?"
You shook your head. "As much as I want to, they both know that if they start fighting, I will send them back home with a reprimand and bar them from leaving the village for several months." Yakumo's eyes bulged out from her head.
"You take missions outside the village seriously." Hanzo stated surprise in his voice.
"I do. And they know it." You smiled. "Believe me, they will calm down and we will be back to boring walking while looking out for anything."
"Can't we show them where we are on the map?" She asked.
"If he wants to see where we are on the map, he can ask me." You said. "Or you."
Yakumo then gave a chuckle. "I think he just wants someone to talk to him for a few minutes. He seems to be unhappy with the silence."
You took a deep breath. "We are in a dangerous part of the world with dangerous cargo. Silence will keep us alive."
Yakumo nodded, as both boys stopped, and you stopped, to see the corpse hanging from the bridgehead. Branded with "thief" and "What We Do to Enemies." with the Grass symbol on it.
"We are at the border Naruto." You said grimly as you looked at the corpse. Seems someone from Lightning tried to escape into the Land of Fire to get home. And didn't make it. "We're about to enter Grass."
Sasuke gulped in nervousness. "I thought the border wasn't guarded here?"
You nodded. "It isn't. This is a warning to all who enter it."
Naruto then asked. "They really put a body out to scare people? That's kinda stupid. Why not put out an actual guard to protect it?"
You sighed. "Because this isn't for us. It's for those seeking to do Grass harm. As we are moving through it and not causing any trouble, they should leave us alone."
A moment passed, nay less than a heartbeat, before you felt something was off. "Kids, when we cross, be prepared for the fight of your lives. Or go home."
All three stood still. "Last chance to walk away. There is no shame in being afraid and deciding that this is the end of your journey as a ninja."
Yakumo spoke for all three of them. Well, four. "We're with you till the end."

Sasuke will be in the middle of the group.

I don't think now is the time to be trying to train our students. Not when it feels like we're about to have our equivalent of the encounter with the puddle twins (I don't remember what they were called in canon) or, worse, Zabuza.

The idea here is to have the kids do something. I wanted to have Naruto Scout, Sasuke play mid-liner, and Yakumo was supposed to play genjutsu support. But well, if you got a better idea of what to use our time for....

I read all those fuuinjutsu scroll titles. I deserve a medal. I like them, this just feels like an inappropriate time to practice fuuinjutsu.

Have we taught Naruto that he can retain the memories of his Shadow clones after they dispel? In canon, he didn't learn that until after the timeskip, and I don't remember us teaching him that in this Quest.
Last time I checked, Sasuke hasn't unlocked his Sharingan yet.
Also, you need to include whether or not we have a Special Event Roll.
