I feel like an alternative route would have been to swap the contents out for something else, or so... Though now that I think of it, I dunno how possible it would be for mostly immaterial entity.
Becoming a god of coffee would absolutely boost them rapidly, though.

Honestly going for God of coffee is a good way to get a lot of low-level faith. Just feels like more people would either be down for either ignoring the new coffee mascot/logo and giving thanks to coffee for getting them though the day or just being like "Sure gods are a thing now, This one gives me coffee". Either way no ones going to look at the "Coffee god" and blame them for the problems of civilisation while a lot of people in night city would have lost faith in justice and law.

1. Theoretically, you could. This quest takes place two years before cp2077 and a year before edge runners. Even then, we dont know exactly when the events occur so depending on how the quest goes, it may be delayed to a later time or never happen at all.
