@TheMaskedReader would it be better for us to format these as plan votes?
So long as it's comprehensible and valid, I'll take it.@TheMaskedReader would it be better for us to format these as plan votes?
That's fair I was trying to grapple with the need for a defensive aspect/counter. Definitely could have gone wrong. I like stalwart though, that's good.Gonna have to disagree with the hypnosis, that's a hail-mary in the wrong kind of way.
I mean, we're arguing with a magical girl, the concept which is kinda responsible for our birth and overall life goal, about not turning our friend into the cops. This is probably the most traumatic thing we've done in our short fleshy life outside visiting the theater.Iron Willed is a good one, but I think Stalwart is the better option in this case due to the connotations of how one is "stalwart in defense of something". Iron Willed seems better for resisting trauma and the like though.
She's searching your eyes as she talks, the words spilling out of her. "...I…look, I didn't necessarily think it was good, but I…it was good money. And I was doing a service for the community, in a way that nobody else was. I mean, when I was a teen, the Predators ran this place, and they were a fuckin' piece of work and a half-" You tilt your head. "Why'd you stop, then?"
Hmm. Thinking things over, string resistance might cause Patty to double down. Here's a bit of a change in tone that I think might work better:
[x] Convince her:
-[x] Swap *Tracker* for *Hypnotic*
-[x] Patty should slow down and think about this for a second… just relax and watch us slowly sway as our nervousness melts into a gentle rhythm, back and forth as we both sink down into a calm, placid state of contemplation…
-[x] You're right Patty, Sabrina was a bad person, but that's in the past… I'm here now and I'll make sure she doesn't get up to any more shenanigans. You can trust me! Turning her in will just make things worse, and she won't be able to start to make up for the damage she did dead or in a cell. Vengeance won't bring him back… you should take me to her, and we can all discuss this further…
Argument-wise it's clear we won't be able to convince this Magical Girl in this setting. So the next best option is to buy ourselves more time to shift appropriately and push our way into forcing an ad-hoc trial. The second argument hearkens back to our Immutable Aspect of Idealist, which should have synergy with Stalwart (stalwart in one's beliefs) for even more social resilience.
Much better odds of convincing her then just promising that Sabrina is a good person. It works on a logical level, and should punch her in the gut emotionally. Get her to see the bigger picture and not just the immediate problem, and then offer a solution that requires Sabrina staying (mostly) free.
Hmm. Wasn't aware of this? I was really trying to go for a one word descriptor of pragmatically/dispassionately looking at the material conditions, power dynamics etc involved in the situation and this popped out. Would have gone with historical materialism but that's two words.Regardless of the rest of the vote (who may work), this term is horribly chosen, *Realpolitik* is not a positive term and used to mock those using it, better go for something else.

Regardless, I think stalwart is a good word that covers a lot of bases, and the current version does what I was going for there but much much better.
But she wasn't though she was just angry talking about with half thought out points about how terrible Sabrina is because she kind of hates her for all we have seen we literally have no idea on her opinions on the guardsystem defenders really get under my skin. she is only a kid, but shes still a lil narc, a narc paladin even.
itd be great to go all "all guards r compost" and how the people theyd be handing slick over to are worse people than her/ hurt waay more people, but she things scarlet is naive and also has ideological investment.
not gonna vote, i just read quests.
