What gear do we happen to have on us and on our fellow officers? Same with cyberwere?
Good Question!

Right now, the ENTIRE NCPD is badly undermanned and underfunded, all cops are basically wearing really light or low quality Kevlar vests.

Tanner Montoya currently has a Lexington and his cyberarm but there's nothing special about it save for decent armor. Officer Cox has a Saratoga and cybernetic eyes and the one cop you're with has an Ajax, both of his arms are just standard cyberware. So yeah, you're not working with a lot!

So unless someone has a better idea I am thinking setting up suppressing fire with the Saratoga with Ajax and Lexington do main fire?

Any way we could disable his Sandevistan because that seems to be his most dangerous bit of cyberware as far as we can tell

Talking never works with Cyberpsychos. I'd love to do the Hacking route which i used in game but we don't have the trained hacker required.
Hell no its a Cyberpycho that ends up with at lest 3 officed dead min.
There's a very high possibility that everyone will die but, if you are charismatic enough or know just what to say, you could be able to talk them down or get them back to a level of lucidity enough to bring them in, but who knows what will happen!

[X] Plan: Civies First
-[X] Establish plan of attack
-[X] Have your weapons out and ready at all times ready to fend off the cyber psycho
-[X] If it hasn't been done already, call back in to report this as a Cyberpsycho attack so that Max-tac can be brought in to help.
-[X] In the mean time, try to draw the Cyberpsycho away from the civilians and wounded officer with a distraction, such as throwing a can or whatever the stall was selling in another direction and hope the Cyberpsycho takes the bait.
-[X] Have Ajax use his eyes to scan the area for anymore wounded civilians and to locate the cop
-[X] Have Tanner go out to check on the wounded officer and if drag them to safety if the injury is bad enough.
-[X] If the Cyberpsycho notices you, have all of you open fire on him, try aiming for his Mantis blade arms as they seem to be a weak spot.

This is the first time I've made a battle plan, hopefully all goes well. If anyone has any suggestions I'll keep those in mind and change plan accordingly.

Edit: Named the plan.

Nice plan of attack! You might want to name said plan though, just in case other people have different ideas

Sounds good, bystanders should be our priority, not like we're likely to stop a cyberpsycho on our own after all.

[X] Plan: Civies First

The point of all that being, I am guilty of writing about redeeming murder, so if that's your problem with me, well….

There is generally nothing wrong with writing fiction and nothing wrong with what you play in a game. I think when you talk about liking redemption arcs, you are talking from the perspective of a player and what would be interesting to read about in the quest. I am doing my best to put myself in the shoes of our character and am trying to be empathetic. In the reality of the quest, murder is just as bad as it is in our reality. It does not matter if the people in Night City do not care as much about murder. In a game it is easy to not care about anything unless there is something more that relates to you or offends you. Finn got to have a backstory, name and scenes written from his perspective. The woman is nameless.

[X] Plan: Civies First

While Finn certainly didn't mean to kill her, he still did it in a panic and once he had gotten over his initial freak out, he'd still go back to mugging people but would be a little more open to actively stabbing them if things don't go his way again.

He was written to be a selfish individual that only cared about himself in the end. Yes, he will feel guilty for all the bad things he's done but in the end, he's looking out for himself and if people are going to get in the way of that, he'll rationalize that he's in the right for doing what he did.

Our 'curse' just so happened to take root just as he was still feeling guilty over it. He was never going to fess up to the crime.
Cool, that is exactly how I interpreted it. I wasn't under the impression he was secretly Robin Hood or anything. He's certainly a selfish thief who was willing to hurt that woman, even if he didn't intend to kill her. That being said, the woman's dead now, and unless I'm misunderstanding the range of our powers, there's nothing that can be done for the dead. It does her no more good to get revenge on this guy than it does us in the real world. The important thing is how to make sure this kind of thing stops happening, or at least reduces massively in number, and retributive justice just doesn't do that, it's not the point. I'm not saying we should help this guy because he's uniquely worthy of redemption but because he's not unique. If you want to make a better world you've got to get down in the mud, if you want justice to reign you have to be willing to help bad people become better, because the fact is that the other way requires we put half the world in a cage, and that's just not possible.

I mean, I assume as a god our goal is to make the world more just, but I could be wrong, maybe we're just going for making a bunch of super cops, which is fine if so, just less interesting to me personally.

[X] Plan: Civies First

Edit: Bolded kill was hurt originally, which made the whole thing confusing.
