If they aren't turning themselves into robo people then I don't think there will be many problems with N. Corp.

Well...it all depends on The One Who Grips (I assume that it is a rank) that is in charge of entering into the Arknights world if the City is bleeding into this reality that much (I doubt).

You know we can beat the shit out of them even if they don't kill people because they are going to start preaching their bullshit and we don't want that.
Especially if they brought the abno infused Inquisitors over, the countries in this world will burn them on a stick for working with demons for that lol

Speaking of Chapter 3, how does Sigefried feel about sharing a name with another Color Fixer, Siegfried of the League of Excellent Nest Dwelling Fixers, superstar of N-Corp? :V

WAGIE WAGIE GET BACK IN THE WAGE CAGEY - Turbulence Sieg to lame Sieg

Even fucking Red Gaze calls him a Wagie. If Red Gaze of all people is able to make digs like that, your not in a good spot. Also he is the super star of K Corp, not N Corp.

I don't think that Siegfried is a color.

But if Verg's comment on how a Fixer working under the thumb of a Wing loses sight of what matters is, I reckon our Sieg hates Siegfried's guts too.

After all, he is literally nothing more than a marketable pawn of K-Corp.

L-Corp used to just shoot employees with some kind of Enkephalin derivative bullet to deal with that sort of mental assault, or just load the compound into the air of the main rooms.
Hm? I'm about to do a proper reread but correct me if I'm wrong or someone else already brought this up - weren't the healing bullets K-corp's singularity? Like the healing in the main facility?

I think N corp would see the fokls of tera as not human, not augmented humans, nonhumans. We don't actually know how they feel about nonhumans. I could see them see them as not their problem so long as they stay out of the city. They are infidels not heretics so to say, lesser creatures outside the faith but not an affront to it like someone who "turns their back on humanity".

K-corps singularity healed read damage, the drugs healed white damage.

Sieg: "Nooooooo don't turn me into a marketable plushie!"
K Corp: Grabs him
Siegfried: "Its alright. I'm ok with being a plushie."

There does seem to be a bit of a divide between 'Wing aligned' and 'Non Wing aligned Fixers'. I'm going to consider association fixers to be part of non wing. Doing jobs for Wings is a thing high rank fixers scramble for, but working for a Wing is considered kinda cringe among the high ranked fixers.

Mainly because everyone knows that Wings are shady as hell even by City standards.

I wouldn't be even surprised if Siegfried (I'll call our Sieg, Sieg from now on for easier identification) crushes toddlers into juice cups for K-Corp when he's working or something.

The guy looks unhinged enough for that.

I'm guessing if your a wing fixer, you don't have to worry about them bills anymore... also

A salve with no freedom, nothing but a pawn to the wings...
the complete opposite of our free Sieg, isn't it?

Being a Wing Fixer is somehow worse than the normal type of selling your soul to the devil. Cause being a Wing Fixer also means you're also a sellout.

Accelerated Mending is the name of one of Lech's combat pages, and so is Ride the Lightning is also the name of one of Beats' Combat Pages

im curious about what happened with Mansfield Break, and in general what Beats and the Pinus girls are doing in Kazimierz, but also what Lechs might be doing

Sieg met him once in a case.

Siegfried really likes him, and invited him for his League. While Sieg is Backstreets born, he currently lives in the Nest of District S, so he qualifies.

That liking is not mutual. Absolutely not mutual. Sieg hates his guts.

Not because he's a sellout. If Sieg went around hating everyone who worked with the Wings he'd hate himself. The reason he's in the Nest is because he aligned with the right Wings in the war. From his point of view, there's no difference from taking a Wing job and working for a Wing. You're a Fixer, being a sellout is expected. He just dislikes Fixer merchandising and memorabilia-selling as a concept. Sieg does not give autographs.

We actually do know how Nagel und Hammer feel about humans with animal parts: They straight up ignored Gregor despite him having a giant roach arm.

That's what I said earlier.

They just have a problem with extreme mechanical replacements like Dante's clock head.

Basically. Their opinion is this.

2.18 - Face the Fear
Gonna be on watch for the other half.

You look at X's face.

Your gaze pierces through the censors, and pierces through the modifications. For a second- for a fleeting, infinitely small moment- you see his true face. His façade cracks, and for that brief instant, you see a man who is simply tired. A man who is alone.

So alone, in fact, that he sought companionship from something that most men would turn in revulsion against. Because he empathized with it.

To be forgotten, erased, removed from history… to live in a world where you simply never existed… and everyone moves on as if your presence never mattered at all. Everything functions perfectly without you.

What a terrifying possibility.
Right, for all the work in put in during LobCorp, his relationships were pretty lacking. The Agents were troops you direct, the clerks, well, exist, and the Sephirah came to an understanding and realization, they mostly just worked in the background. There wasn't any room for socialization or friendships or anything.

The most prevalent relationship they had was Angela, and, well...
[CENSORED] is on the other side of the room. It's in horse form, and its spawn are all sitting in its back. It's walking around in circles, and its children are making those awful noises while it runs from one wall to the other in a loop.
You know, if looking at it didn't make my brain try to implode this behavior would seem pretty cute.
No wait it spawns by messing with corpses nevermind.

"My mistake… My first mistake was to be far too hasty. One of my many mistakes, in truth. I moved through the days without thinking. I believed simply reaching the end would be enough. It was not. It was not until I reached that unsurpassable door that it occurred to me that I might have to complete Malkuth's missions."
How the hell did you not manage to complete Malkuth's missions.
I guess he just completed every day before Dusk Ordeals, so he was just
Speedrunning the facility. Clock in, collect energy, clock out.
"Abram… perhaps we will gain greater understanding if we read his book. But he gave up. He sank into grief and ceased to believe in our mission. He simply gave up after he managed to pass through my challenge."

"Adam was always a mystery to me. He did not speak a word to me as I presented him with his trial. But I am not sure. He did not even believe me to be worth his time."

Ignoring the Malkuth thing- you need to talk about that later- you will have to mention that Adam has WhiteNight, according to X.

"Indeed he does. He might be a danger later… now that I think of it. WhiteNight is an incredibly dangerous Abnormality, but Adam only ever spoke to X. Even when we met in the Library, in the night where our plan came into motion… he never said a single word to me."
Abram learning to care about others, but not how to endure the pain and suffering of countless failures. He believed that everything had gone to shit, that he was such a fuck-up for letting things to go to shit, that trying to help would just make things worse.

That the best thing to do was just to stay out of the way and not make things worse. And if that isn't enough he'll just disappear. Forever.

Adam I guess brought into the "I'm fixing humanity" spiel and got it into his head. Lost sight of who he was and why he was doing this and saw others as beneath him.

That part is not correct- not even technically correct. Obviously the Arbiter never did this to you. But you have seen F-Corp employees walk into rooms with targets, and leave with information they could not have possibly interrogated from these very same targets in that timeframe.

The Arbiter no doubt had the capacity to do that, with her enormous stock of Fairy. That thing consumes an absurd amount of energy. Not even F-Corp Agents use it as frivolously as the Arbiter did. Throwing Fairy keys around as projectiles… yeah, that's a surefire way to go bankrupt.
The idea that Binah could just casually rip info out from people's heads sure is reassuring. Thanks.
Also did not think about energy requirements for Fairy. I always thought it was rather cheap or self-maintaining?

Your Locust Workshop appendage linkers, your lung enhancements to allow greater ease of bre\aathing, the fact that they replaced your entire heart, your entire circulatory system, several chunks of your nervous system, your bones, your eyes, your auditory system, your tongue… the fact that your appendix is now a hidden stem cell bag, the list goes on. It was probably also noticed by the hospital, come to think of it.
Very practical set of augments. Wonder if they are in different places then their normal positions to throw off anyone aiming for vitals?
Also you replaced your tongue? Why??? What can an augmented tongue do? Taste the air like a snake?

"Memento?" she says.

"Oh, did I say that out loud?" you tell her, a little embarrassed. It's probably the fault of the headache. "Memento is an old friend of the same organization I am part of. Turbulence Office. Sorry for the comment."

"No, no, it was nothing. My Oripathy really did mess with my sleep cycle."

You notice something. When you said the name "Memento," her eyebrows rose for a second, but then they went back down again. When you said the word Turbulence Office, she grit her teeth. She probably recognizes the name… both of them.
Huh.

So Memento was at Rhine Labs? Where else did Silence show up?
You turn your head towards the noise. It's probably Wympe- no.

It's absolutely not Wympe, you think, seeing the black coat and the masked face of an entirely different Turbulence Office Fixer. Oh, and Nicole is there, too. She's smiling at you.

"WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU, YOU FUCKING-" screams Sleepy in a tone of voice that could awake the dead.

Ah, this is just like home.
What a family.

[X] Interlude: Mansfield Break

I want to know all of these but I probably should choose the one that is about where we are going next.
The other has no practical reason. It just concerns a giant catman and thus I am obligated to choose it.

i kind of hope that this is a flashback to saria beating the shit out of jesselton except even harder because she has turb office help now

Fairy is a +light page for binah, but that may just be arbiter privilege. After all, pillar is a -3, and that's just applied fairy.

durability, so you don't accidentally bite through it with your augmented teeth, obviously

I want to see who's been arrested. This is going to be amazing, haha.

I just really, really love this stuff. You make Turbulence office feel like a warm, soft place I would want to be, even when knowing they're in the City most of the time. Damn fine work, thenew. Also-

You notice something. When you said the name "Memento," her eyebrows rose for a second, but then they went back down again. When you said the word Turbulence Office, she grit her teeth. She probably recognizes the name… both of them.
Silence is probably super pissed that Sleepy is convinced Rhodes Island makes medicine out of tortured orphans, considering she left her previous job specifically because of her moral objections to torturing orphans. Like, he's Sleepy which makes him practically intolerable to most people, but she specifically is probably not going to have a good time with Turbulence office, who are willing to do utterly horrendous stuff for results.

This was heartwarming, and we now have, if we count the Neural Cluster, like 8 members of Turb Office in one place. This will not be good for the Doctor's sanity, it's gonna go from zero to like -100.
There's two more members of Turbulence Office who just took a contract to beat the shit out of Nearl in the middle of what's about to be a massive political event, assuming they aren't planning to stab Czarny in the back and take the money and cause even more problems. Then there's a third member who's got an army of crimes against decency just kind of floating around that entire shitstorm. We're already banned from Lungmen and unwelcome in Iberia, let's get kicked out of Kazimierz and make it 3 for 3.
