[X] Blame Bishop Quintus
-[X]Quintus is some mad cult leader working together with these monsters
--[X]Validate this by pointing out that he is the one who set up the fucked up food lottery which the townsfolk can validate.
--[X] He also captured one of my friends who is a VAMPIRE Sarkaz and is probably doing horrible experiments to her which is why we are here to rescue her.
--[X] He may have more monsters in his pocket, so we temporarily work together. Your apprentice is exhausted, so in a conflict it would be mostly you alone.

Okay so again, this plan might have horrible horrible consequences down the line.
Much like the infected, the Sarkaz are near universally reviled
Saying Capone's infected hasn't backfired yet so I'm probably just worried for nothing but we might not want to get into the habit of claiming our friends are members of severely discriminated against groups.

The biggest problem I have with the Blame Quintus plan is that Sieg IC doesn't know Quintus has Arabella.

With Abram showing up, I kind of wonder what this author is going to do with X, if anything. Very curious there.
He'll not show up, he got censored out of the story :V
(TBH he'll probably be one of the biggest issues if we have to fight; nearly invincible and just being in his vicinity lowers your maximum stagger constantly. Adam's a bastard to fight, but moreso because of powerful minions than anything he does.)
The biggest problem I have with the Blame Quintus plan is that Sieg IC doesn't know Quintus has Arabella.
Also this. We only know where arabella is because we were told; sieg has so far no indication of her location besides that she WAS with wympe.

The way I see it, if someone wants to start a fight because Arabella is vampire sarkaz adjacent then we have an excuse to get Sieg to beat up a racist. And that just seems like a net positive to me. :V

My main issue with the plan is that I feel like Sieg doesn't have most of the information.

I probably forget stuff. So someone give me a quick rundown.
How does Sieg know Quintus?
She probably did but just to make sure. Did someone say the bishop set up the food lottery?
How does he know he kidnapped Arabella?
Arabella probably passed for one. But why are we also now layering on more lies? Lying about being infected isn't bad. But Kal'tsit, who we want help from, can probably tell whatever Arabella is, she isn't a Sarkaz.

eh, We honestly don't really have that much plans, So let's make a better one.
Anyway, anyone worrying about carmen since she haven't show up for how long now? entire arc? even before that?

That has been a concern of mine, but since no one mention it I was like, "eh, probably fine." But I assumed she out there trying to Distort people, and since Abel is currently with us, I don't think he be of much help trying to hamper her progress on that. I might be wrong but the two DON'T seems to like each other much as well.

How does Sieg know Quintus?
It was revealed to him in a dream. (The vision he had of Wympe and Arabella mentioned Quintus and his tentacle monsters.)
She probably did but just to make sure. Did someone say the bishop set up the food lottery?
I don't think so but maybe Sieg could figure it out on his own.
How does he know he kidnapped Arabella?
He doesn't. Gladiia and Quintus are the only people who know where Arabella is.

So the bases of the plan is to assume and make shit up?

Just to be clear that my tune is correct. I'm not mad. Just curious.

Every time Carmen looks at abel she's reminded of her failures and every time able looks at Carmen he's reminded of his pain.
So naturally the two doesn't like each other, too much past traumas will get digged up by even the glimpse of each other's face.
And she won't like abram either, since it is literally the man she loves falling apart.
Adam is literally a religious nutter, so I have doubts about that too.
Basically, she might hate all three As, They damage her psyche just by the existence of them, The first one drags the past pain out of her and proves everything about her theory wrong, The second one make her realize that she abandoned her lover to suffer the pain alone, The third one is the reflection of the current her, A joke.

The way I see it, if someone wants to start a fight because Arabella is vampire sarkaz adjacent then we have an excuse to get Sieg to beat up a racist. And that just seems like a net positive to me. :V
If that actually worked then the Sarkaz wouldn't be in as deep shit as they are.
They're not going to be starting a fight, the people that are going to be taking issue with it are supersitious peons or people in power with an agenda, they're going to be forming a mob and trying to kill her, drive her and us out and bar us from getting any shit done.
The Sarkaz and the infected are the ultimate scapegoat, shit goes wrong and people immediately point towards them and if you try to fight your way out of it then you get the people in power breathing down your neck for causing trouble and the racists doubling down.
this deep-seated discrimination is not something you can just punch away.

[] Keep your story straight with what you've told Irene before. You're here to look for missing friends and got mixed up in all of this.
-[] Point out that if you were here for anything nefarious, you would have dispatched Irene already and you wouldn't waste time saving civilians.

I'll just vote for this plan. We can probably come up with something better.

I don't like that plan either but to play the devil's advocate:
Sieg knows that Quintus is partially if not completely responsible for everything that's going on in Sal Viento and Arabella seems to be a Bloodfiend traditionalist who wouldn't give out her blood freely enough to make 300 Sea-Fiends. Proposing to take out Quintus seems like the correct course of action with the best chance of finding Arabella even with only what Sieg knows. Though the plan probably shouldn't be as revealing as it is.

Arabella probably passed for one. But why are we also now layering on more lies? Lying about being infected isn't bad. But Kal'tsit, who we want help from, can probably tell whatever Arabella is, she isn't a Sarkaz.

Questions 1/2/4 yes we know that exactly, because it was told to us or learned in a flashback relevant passage below by Anita food situation started by bishop. Question 3 is a an assumption based on sea monsters that were know are working with Bishop Qunitus turned part blood fiend which we recognized; therefore Qunitus head honcho used Arabella to create sea fiends.

Fourth, question why are we lying to her being a Sakraz? Well Dario asked us why are the Seaborns reacting so weird how do we answer now? The simplest answer in this universes logic that makes sense is they have a negative reaction cause Vampire Sarkaz Weird blood stuff as a lie. Arabella already smells like a Sarkaz to Capone a native below in his super senses.

I just don't feel comfortable telling the truth or think it sounds very believable that we are an inter dimension traveler with weird stuff that interacted on the Seaborne causing this reaction. I don't know how better to answer why are the Seaborne acting so weird now.

Direct quotes below .

Sieg getting a Qunitus flash back
Your stomach rumbles. Quiet down, you little shit. You're going to feed you in like ten minutes can you stop messing with your concentration for that time for the love of-

Dammit. You're so damn useless. The boss would have already gotten the both of you out of here and into civilization, if there's any. But you really weren't in condition to fight that damned so-called "Bishop Quintus" and his sanctimonious arse.

And the army of monstrous tentacle beasts he had.

Sieg assuming friends were running from Quntius

You remain silent through the entire walk. You begin to reconstruct the pathway that they took, in the eye of your mind. Wympe and Arabella were camping inside that cave, for around a week or so. You try to remember the vision you had. There was also a Bishop- Quintus. They were fleeing from Bishop Quintus and his army of sea creatures.

Anita told Sieg about the food coming from the Bishop. Sieg also knows about a Bishop Qunitus working with fish that Arabella was running away from. Very unlikely for their to be 2 bishops
Yes…?"

"How long have you been eating them?"

Anita looks at the side. "...I don't know. It started when the bishop came. But it's been years since he did. It's hard to keep track. I try to, but sometimes I lose count. But… I was much younger when he came. Grandma could walk around without any problems, without trembling and without any gait in her legs."

…years?

Vampire Sarkaz bit where Capone mentions Arabella actually smells like a Vampire Sarkaz

His eyebrows rise- his teeth chatter.

"I'm. I'm pickin' up somethin'. It's… it's a really, really strong smell. What the- it's really strong. It smells kinda like. Like a Sarkaz? Yeah, that's what it reminds me of."

…… skipping the middle chunk for brevity

First of all, Sarkaz are humanoids. The variance between their species and a human is small enough that they can be mistaken for a human with modifications. Sarkaz have a pair of horns of different shapes and sizes above their head, or on the sides. Some of them have longer than normal pointed ears, or a slim tail with a pointy end. Sarkaz are divided into many subtypes, one of which being…

Vampire Sarkaz.

You are an idiot. You were literally thinking about them less then a hour ago.

Arabella!

lets try a new plan then

[X] Plan: Inquisitorial Team-Up
-[X] Don't change your story from before. The best lies are those with a sprinkle of truth, especially when that lie is the truth.
-[X] Reveal that from what you've gathered a Bishop Quintus is responsible for what is going on here. Have the locals corroborate your suspicions.
--[X] The Bishop might have more surprises up his sleeves. Point out that it would be for the best that you team-up, especially with Irene's current condition.

Its not that different from the other plan but its less revealing than before. We probably shouldn't reveal that Arabella is partially responsible for the Sea-Fiends either because that seems like a quick way to get on everyone's shit list.

Changing my vote again - it seems less unhealthy for Arabella after things are over. Especially since the information might be shared to at least Lord Carmen (of the Inquisition) and possibly Kal'tsit. Who would probably know some stuff about Vampire Sarkaz. Maybe? Or we can just blame the Church of the Deep for fucking around, since they kind of do a lot of things.

Like Specter's originium spinal fluid. Or Mizuki. Or Thorn's teacher's Seaborn fluid. Maybe hypothetically, this branch of the Deep Church did shit with Vampire Sarkaz. And that wouldn't necessarily be incorrect. Besides the obvious?

I don't know, I'm just putting my opinion in, I guess?

[X] Plan: Inquisitorial Team-Up

[X] Plan: Inquisitorial Team-Up

This is a better option. By far and wide...Mostly because I forgot Wympe and Sieg haven't had a ton of communication yet and she wouldn't have reasonably been able to tell him about what happened with Quintus.
