Son of Death (30k Mortarion Quest)

Emperor will pass any test Mortarion can think of. What we pick will say more about Mortation and Barbarus culture, than about their relationship.

[X] Camaraderie. It was mortal men that scaled the peaks of Barbarus and followed Mortarion into battle. What manner of men have followed the Emperor to this star?

I kind of want to see Mortarion's reaction to space marines. Like the Emperor was saying mortals weren't good enough, but Mortarion found a way with his comrades.

A very tough choice, they all seem like they'd be interesting.

We also need to figure out what's going to happen to Barbarus while we're away. Who's going to handle the ecological repair for us and how is the planet going to be run?

[x] Humility. The Emperor may wage war on the stars and rule over billions, but has he ever laboured for his bread?

This is very, very important test.

I suppose this is metagaming, but there's a nonzero chance here that Emps might just reality warp or use gene-science to further our terraforming efforts extensively.

I'm gonna go ahead and pick the choice that is guaranteed to be the hardest for the Emperor to do:

[X] Humility. The Emperor may wage war on the stars and rule over billions, but has he ever laboured for his bread?

Plus this is one test that can't be easily faked or cheated.
I don't care for Humility because out of character we know he has, The Emperor has been alive since like the late stone age, he's had to have mundane jobs at some point.
Remember, this is an alternative take on the Emperor for this quest where he actually started as a Warlord on Terra and wasn't an immortal since the Stone Ages.

Probably the Adeptus Mechanicus or a governor of some kind. It depends on how the Crusade is going and in what state the Legion is in. Many Primarchs were given time to establish themselves first, but I don't know whether we have that time.

Barbarus will still get a fortress, recruitment centers and all the other infrastructure of a Space Marine planet and Mortarion will have the final say in all matters. We just don't know how long ge can remain on Barbarus and when he will return.

I would certainly like to keep a close relationship with Barbarus and its people.

Humility is definitely very close second though, either sounds good.

Camaraderie is kind of pointless for someone who can create people and he just admitted to that.

What I like about this is that no matter what the Emperor does the second that Mortarion sees the Imperial Palace it will show just how humble the Emperor really is.
