Eternal Persistence's philosophy is that of a mindless animal's concerned only with survival, and it reminds me of this analysis on the themes of "Girls' Last Tour".

The point of the video is the perfect counter-argument to that philosophy.

"Living to live is pointless. A 1,000 years of tedium can't hold a candle to 1 of excitement."

There is a difference between survival and living. The former is simply concerned with the continued maintenance of bodily functions, while the latter is about making sure that you make experiences you'd look back on fondly once the curtains close, experiences that make you go "Yeah, I lived a good life."

Capone wants to survive, but the way E.P. wants to go about it is no way to live.

I'd try to put this into a vote, but my brain ain't working at the moment. :V

Christ, this series destroyed me. Also, I'm very glad that you guys are doing analysis of the stuff I'm writing.

Goodbye irrelevant NPC.

Just found this quest and I'm enjoying it a lot!

In my opinion one of those semi monologues would have been cool but I'd rather not spill anything overly sensitive with the Rat King nearby. Maybe some other time when we aren't a complete unknown people won't hesitate to try to disappear.

Question here for the thread: has this quest actually led any of you to play Turbulence Office? Did you like it?

Because all of this is basically a scheme to get more people into Ruina modding.

I'm planning on playing it soon, I'm just waiting on clearing out a few more mods beforehand.

I haven't downloaded it since I was saving it up for later. At this point though, I have enough mods to be confident in taking them on and have a modded team I'm decently comfortable with while not being too cheesy (Tiph's E.G.O. is great for the aesthetics even if it is mostly just Yellow Mist; and you were right, the MGoF Abno cards are great) so I'll download them now and see how well that goes.

If that doesn't go well, I always have General Works to fall back on. I put Angela and Bookhunter there to pelt anything that comes in with Mass Attacks, and that'll probably be enough to clean up if Tiph dies.

Not looking into modding yet, but the steam sale, prodding from a friend, and this quest got me to buy Library of Ruina and play it.

I'm genuinely enjoying it, even if it is a hard game for me since I'm unfamiliar with deck building games.

I haven't actually finished LoR yet lol, so I'd have to do that before taking a look into it, which I probably will.

I've basically decided to buy Ruina already, not yet but someday, don't know if I'll get into modding though. Gotta actually get through Lobotomy Corp first of all though.

Don't know what to vote ngl. Can't decide.

I haven't gone back to Ruina in a while after having my fun with a handful of mod receptions. Might actually have time to get back into it during the holidays. Though I'm generally not keen on story mods featuring OCs I'll try to give it a fair shake.

I have returned from Turbulence Office, victorious. E.G.O. Tiph manage to clean up shop the whole way through with no casualties. My set up allowed her Librarians to get a fuckton of Emotion Points (Thanks MGoF and Synthaesma) and a single librarian who can use Nihil consistently. That along with E.G.O. Tiph's Debuff Abilities and everyone in Turbulence Office got stuck in debuff Hell.

It was a pretty interesting fight all told. Definitely enjoyed it. The most memorable part was the Rat King, who can do the Sieghart thing with sharing Buffs and such, but this also applies to debuffs and extends to all characters instead of just friends. So when Nihil activated, all my units got hit with -4 to all their dice, but everyone on Rat King's team got hit with -8 (since they got hit twice).

The second most memorable part was Sieghart, who used the Light's Voice while having, like, 30 Bleed on him (Tiph E.G.O.'s Debuff powers doubles status afflictions) and he bled out and died because he rolled too many dice.

You really shouldn't have listened to her, idiot.

I might do this again with Binah's Floor. I've been thinking of putting in Paige Huang and her girlfriend there, so it might be workable.

You're doing Lobotomy Corp?

Welcome to Hell, enjoy your stay.

If an Abnormality selection text mentions a train, take it. It's a funny experience.

Congratulations!

By the way, I guarantee it's doable vanilla, using SotC pages only and attributions, or Impuritas with no attributions. Honest. Not a hellish experience at all.
Ah I remember having Ruina Player syndrome and not reading Rat King's page.

I got super arrogant with my 50 Endurance Blockhma thinking it would be an easy sweep...

Well, lets just say that it wasnt.
Hokma balls is actually a good place for Turbulence Office because they've got solid recovery with Baptism, which you'll need since it's one hell of an endurance fight. They also got pure Power buffs that RK can't steal.

Try out Ayin Final Realization. It's a hellish experience because (*gasp*) you ACTUALLY HAVE TO READ THE PASSIVES OF THE ENEMIES and can't just press P over and over. Truly, the worst nightmare of a Ruina player.

I'd try mods if I didn't uninstall from frustration after running headfirst into a wall with Carmen's We Do A Little Bit Of Trolling moment a few dozen times.
