Eternal Persistence's philosophy is that of a mindless animal's concerned only with survival, and it reminds me of this analysis on the themes of "Girls' Last Tour".

The point of the video is the perfect counter-argument to that philosophy.
"Living to live is pointless. A 1,000 years of tedium can't hold a candle to 1 of excitement."
There is a difference between
survival and
living. The former is simply concerned with the continued maintenance of bodily functions, while the latter is about making sure that you make experiences you'd look back on fondly once the curtains close, experiences that make you go "Yeah, I lived a good life."
Capone wants to survive, but the way E.P. wants to go about it is no way to live.
I'd try to put this into a vote, but my brain ain't working at the moment.
