Hey @Dragonofelder, what kinds of games do you review, and did you have played Chaos Gate - Daemonhunter and are you going to play its first DLC, Duty Eternal?
So far I'm writing a review for a puzzle game called Terracotta, it's pretty cool although puzzles aren't my thing. I haven't played Chaos Gate, but I might get around to it at somepoint.

Just a general question for the thread: Why have you chosen what you have? Seeing a lot of "Through Knowledge Power", and honestly I thought there would be more of a mix?

In my case its thematics: plenty of chaos knowledge cults but they're usually mechanicus themed or tzeenchian. Having an undivided adepta originating cult that equally venerates khorne as a being of (rage-filled, primarily martial) wisdom as it does the other, more obviously applicable gods is neat, especially an administratum themed one. Also it hopefully means we can get more chaos bennies quicker.

Because it gives us more Devotion for each research, which we would do anyway. That's an incredibly powerful asset in the long term, because it specifies all research actions. That way we will get another Boon sooner. And even better, it's Undivided Devotion so no risk of unbalance and favouring one god more than the others.

Yeah, this is the most powerful general purpose boon on the list. It gives Devotion that won't cause a religious schism, which leads to faster boon gain. It's a growth boon.

First Step is a mitigation boon. Those are good to have, even a solid choice since those maluses are for two really cult-like categories. But we can absorb some more -5s, so this is a nice to have, not a need.

Sacrice of Wax is cool. That action would allow us to make use of a lot of candles, and ho boy would our rites and rituals be more effective with an eight pointed star made out of candles. But I think we can pass on this until we're closer to doing rituals on the regular. I'm sure it'll be back eventually.

Brass-clad Certainty is a Boon Sink. It makes one action succeed, and it does nothing afterwards. It's rough, but I can see why someone would take it. If the Khorne appeasement fails, then we might see a splinter cult form. Double the cults, half the recruitment, double the chance of being discovered. That's valid to pick, but personally I like to bet.

We can also reduce the chance of failing it by voting en masse for it:)

Pretty clear winner, I'll say

Rites & Rituals
Rites are actions that can be performed to get set outcomes. Although they cost resources to perform, they are more likely to give the desired outcome than not. Rituals still require rolls however.

Ritual of Awakening
Through directed prayer, power can directed towards the warp rift known as Annatar's Eye, allowing it to open wider and let Chaos's influence grow, for a time.
(Gives a bonus to next turn's Annatar's Eye roll)
Cost: 999 Resources

I'm really sorry there hasn't been an update in a while, on either of my quests. Things have been a bit hectic due to my new job, and my inspiration/drive is a running low right now. Can't promise I'll get something out before Christmas, but I'm going to try.

Turn 4 - Part 5: Brethren Kelt
Merchandise To Sell: 4 units
Sold: 1d5 -1 = 0
No Merchandise Sold
Brethren Kelt Bank: 994r

Religion might have come to standstill during the year, but business has not. Now that Brethren Kelt actually has funds, and a source of income, it can finally begin its official purpose; alms for the poor, and literacy and spirituality outreach programs. Of course such actions can help the cult as well, it all depends on how far you wish to go.

First, and most simple, is the option to simply hand money directly to the poor. Vagrants and beggars are common enough, despite the Clippers' best efforts. Any amount can be handed out to the needy; as long as they remember who it was that gave to them.

[ ] [Give Money]
- [ ] write in how much
- [ ] write in what section of the hive (will default to Upper Hive)

You can also set up an outreach programme, although you're currently limited by the fact Brethren Kelt is based in the same church you perform your religious services in. Something to do next year, but you can still start the programmes now.

[ ] [Program] write in name and purpose
Suggest program ideas, I'll decide the upkeep cost, and we'll have a follow up vote to decide which/if any are enacted.

Meanwhile there is still a need to bring in more money. There are still the Street Collectors…
If no votes are given, it'll default to Low Numbers

[ ] [Street Collectors] Low Numbers
Just a small handful of collectors on the busier paths
Low income, little attention, 10% of available cultists

[ ] [Street Collectors] Medium Numbers
A couple dozen, scarred over a wide area
Medium income, more attention 25% of available cultists

[ ] [Street Collectors] High Numbers
Such numbers that are hard to miss, or avoid
High income, high attention 40% of available cultists

...and of course merchandise, even if none was bought this year...

[ ] [Merch Production] Write in amount of BK Merch units to produce
Merchandise costs 100r to make

…but CEO Holding believes you can aim higher. If you can get some wealthy backers, you can have a steady inflow of cash. There are a number of options, from the Noble Houses to business, even the gangers if you're feeling adventurous/risky.

[ ] [Backer] write in organization name
Highest three votes will be approached

And, of course, you can simply take money from the Cult's main bank. However you won't be able to put money directly back in, because that'll attract notice.

Current Cult Bank: 7256r

[ ] [Cult Funds] write in amount to transfer

Vote using the plan format please

Christmas Present! Well a bit late, but who cares.

If you want to check if something exists in Kelt, remember I'm open to questions.

[X] Plan: Buying PR
-[X] [Give Money]
-- [X] 200
-- [X] Lower Hive
-[X] [Program] Schools Without Borders: We'll set up several street schools in the Lower Hive to help educate them in both theology (to help ensure they're loyal and pious to the God Emperor, of course, certainly not to subtly influence them to accept our ideology) as well as scholastic lore that might help them better their lives in service to the Emperor (this one is MOSTLY legitimate, except that it isn't to the Emperor their services will be used...)
-[X] [Street Collectors] Low Numbers

Just a small handful of collectors on the busier paths
Low income, little attention, 10% of available cultists
-[X] [Backer] Attempt to find a noble house suffering from a spate of bad reputation: by backing us, we both benefit. They get to launder their reputation and use us to make themselves look excellent, we get funding, a noble face, and some legitimacy. And in time this arrangement could evolve to be even more...symbiotic.
