They really are.
They are great, but I do wonder why not just reveal the truth of his parents to jon right now? I can't see how leaving him clueless here helps except to make him bait and Ned wouldn't allow that.
Because as of this moment, Ned is the one who is going to tell him, not you. They are great, but I do wonder why not just reveal the truth of his parents to jon right now? I can't see how leaving him clueless here helps except to make him bait and Ned wouldn't allow that.
We also need to avert Daeron II problem of favoring the dornish too much, as it angers the other lords. The rumors of more Dornishmen and women at court have caused some grumbling, and many think that you are playing favorites with your allies and family being of high esteem and of course… Dornish.
To be fair, the Situation is not QUITE as bad as it was back then. What really rankled People back then wasn't just that he favored the Dornish, but that he favored them so much after they had just gotten into the Seven Kingdoms peacefully, even after a History of Warfare and the fact that they had murdered a previous King and a lot of other People under a flag of truce, Red Wedding Style. We also need to avert Daeron II problem of favoring the dornish too much, as it angers the other lords.
True it's not exactly the same, but the 7 kingdoms have never really been united. So they all try to screw each other over except the north who keep to themselves. Plus the Houses of westeros have long memories and long grudges that they cling to. They will see a commonality and assume the worst. To be fair, the Situation is not QUITE as bad as it was back then. These wounds are mostly soothed over by now, if only due to the time passing. Favoring the Dornish will make People mad, of course, but not any more mad then favoring any other Kingdom that isn't their own.
it will be off page.Well this is a turn of events. I sure hope no one learns of this, but I'm guessing your rolling for if they are discovered.
But Daeron's attempts to placate and honor the Dornish also paid off dividends in the future, with Dorne being our greatest ally in the Seven Kingdoms, right in front of the North. To be fair, the Situation is not QUITE as bad as it was back then. Well, the thing is, we're not exactly favoring all of Dorne, just the Martells. These wounds are mostly soothed over by now, if only due to the time passing. Favoring the Dornish will make People mad, of course, but not any more mad then favoring any other Kingdom that isn't their own.
Well they are more united now then they were 3 years ago... because they were in civil war.True it's not exactly the same, but the 7 kingdoms have never really been united. So they all try to screw each other over except the north who keep to themselves. Plus the Houses of westeros have long memories and long grudges that they cling to. I would argue that 5 generations of rebellion was not worth a giant sandbox, even if it was to "finish what the Conqueror couldn't" and bring dorne into the fold. Especially since Daeron II gave them a ridiculous amount of favor that it was more of loss than a gain at all.Sure it cost him in the short term, but Dorne is now a very effective and part of the Seven Kingdoms. Well our Seven Kingdoms.
Why only 3?
Because The Kingsguard might revolt if we did that to them. Why only 3?
I thought that we could get at least 7 (traditional approach) or up to 10 (Viserys Chad approach)
Come on. let us have a few more!!!Because The Kingsguard might revolt if we did that to them.
(Real answer though, I just didn't have enough people to fill out for a roster)
Plus interludes are hard.
Fine, but i am not happy about it.Come on. let us have a few more!!!
We have broken literally every tradition that could be broken, and you have prepared a rooster big enough to justify up to 5-7 members
Come on, don´t be grumpy...
I just have Littlefinger to write next and we can get back to the turns. You are going to love to have such a concentration of awesome in King´s Landing, and the opportunities for social interaction will be great...
Could also work. I'm sticking with my plan, though. I think Margery is the better Option.Ok guys, I don´t really think that we need Tyrells either in the King´s Guard or the Queen´s Guard, we already have the in the Royal Council and that is enough...
So I´m giving her coutirer position to Nymaria...
[X]Plan: Stay Away from the Tyrells!!
-[X]Obara Sand: A Maid of 27, and a skilled poisoner, spearwoman, and whip wielder, one of the more talented warrior women in Westeros that are still alive. She is a master of the more subtle intrigues known throughout the Dornish way of life and in the confidence of your Wife. She also enjoys teasing the chaste and professional Arys Oakheart.
-[X]Brienne of Tarth: A Maid of 18, and now, it seems a magical… girl? By the Gods that sounded terrible. But anyway, the staggeringly tall ugly woman was a powerful warrior that could seemingly tap into the magic of her home, to protect others. Though she has a problem… a Very large one. Her father wishes to marry her off, and she does not want to. And it could lead to political problems if she were to act as a bodyguard even for you.
-[X]Nymaria Sand: A Maid of 24, she is also a child of the Red Viper. However, unlike her elder sister, she is a courtly and intriguing lady. She is more at home in court (and within the bed of maids) than she ever is on a battlefield. There is a small problem, however. Her lustful tendencies and open homosexuality would cause great scandal among the lords and ladies of Westeros… and may cause a great deal of scrutiny on your household.
-[X]Asha Greyjoy: The Lady of Greyjoy… at least in theory, and a maid of 20. She has finally able to leave Sunspear after so long, and the first thing she wanted to do was sail a ship under your command…or that of Lord Stannis. But anywho, she is a skilled fighter, skilled sailor, and brilliant mind that you would love to match wits with. Though she is a bit strange. She claimed a great ax is her husband and a dagger was her child.
-[X]Meera Reed: A Maid of 15, and another northerner. She is a Crannogman, a skilled huntress and some say she is a seer… or that might be her brother, you didn't know. But she does have a keen intellect and other talents that are not entirely known.
Ok guys,
We need to give them something to appease them or they'll be another thorn in our side.Ok guys, I don´t really think that we need Tyrells either in the King´s Guard or the Queen´s Guard, we already have the in the Royal Council and that is enough...
We already gave them a place in the Small council... That is enough prestige for several lifetimes. We need to give them something to appease them or they'll be another thorn in our side.
