Age of Ice and Blood: A Pathfinder System Heroic Fantasy Quest

So, this thing already acted this round, right? It means that all of us get to act before it leaves the place, right?

It's Freedom of Movement does not protect it from entanglement by nets, so maybe our net wielders can be of help.

Overall, @Goldfish, what do you think of mentally signaling to Antonio to get our spearmen men-at-arms to try to block it near the exit, for archers to shoot it and net wielders to entangle it if it gets free, and for Antonio to also try to ask Marcella to try to get it with her rigging and eat it? While everyone down there tries to catch up with it and attack it, except for Esha who tries to blind it? Or she can continue to pelt it with Magic Missiles.

Thankfully, this chamber isn't very high according to DP, with barely more clearance than Roland needs to stand at his full height. It might be flying, but it's not got room enough to gain any altitude. The width of the room is unknown, but it can't be too large going by the description DP gave us.

Everyone is Hasted, so on top of the various combat bonuses, we each get a +30 foot movement speed boost. Given the limited dimensions of the space we're in, that speed means all of our melee combatants will easily be able to reach it to attack for at least one more round.

[X] You Shall Not Pass!
-[X] Inge uses Conduit Surge to boost her caster level by 1d4-1 and targets it with a Snowball spell, trying to hit it before the melee fighters can reach it if possible
-[X] Esha targets the Formless with a Magic Missiles spell.
-[X] Zaia refrains from using a Firebomb unless the Formless manages to get past everyone and is heading for the exit.
-[X] Roland uses his Challenge ability as a Swift Action, then moves to intercept the Formless, Power Attacking as he does so before it can reach the exit. He will specifically target one of its wings, the one Swift Pebble damaged if possible, to cripple its ability to fly.
-[X] Tom and Wanderer move to intercept the Formless, Power Attacking and, if necessary, focusing their efforts on the same wing as Roland.
-[X] The Zentragt Charges the Formless, attacking in an attempt to Grab it and Drag it down to the floor. The Formless' Freedom of Movement makes Grappling impossible, but Pteranodon's aren't built for supernatural
flight, so having a Large-sized battle-bear grab a hold of of a wing or talon should be enough to force it to the ground for a moment, assuming it's attack succeeds, of course.
-[X] Swift Pebble continues her in-flight vivisection, using Piranha Strike and Sneak Attack (it might not be technically Flanked yet, or Flat-Footed, but I think this situation calls for it). She'll also benefit a +1 attack bonus due to her Limb-Climber ability. Razor Weasel, ahoy! The said, she won't try to continue riding Formless Airlines beyond the exit.
-[X] Telepathically warn Antonio that a flying monster might be preparing to exit the rock in a hurry and that he and all of our ranged assets should be ready to shoot at it if necessary and to try to get our spearmen and net-users into position to attack it before it can reach the sky.

If it's 50 ft away, isn't it too far from the Snowball? Even with full +3 CL from the surge max range (25 ft + 5 ft / 2 CL) would be only 40 ft.

Inge can use her fortune Hex to guarantee a maneuver like a drag, trip, or whatever on this thing. Bear that in mind.

She shouldn't have to move at all, since the caster group and drummer are already near the exit, which is is flying toward. That said, her Snowball spell currently has a range of 35 feet and it could get boosted to 40 feet with a good Conduit Surge.

She can also take a Move Action to get a bit closer, if necessary.

Good point on maneuvers, though I'm not sure if Inge using her Fortune Hex here is better than 4d6 or 5d6 Cold damage and a really good chance to Stagger the Formless. In it's Pteranodon form it only has a +6 Fort bonus vs the DC 15 save it would need to avoid being Staggered, which would really screw up its escape attempt.

Gonna have the Zentragt try to Grab and Drag it down.

@DragonParadox, can you give more detailed description of the terrain, what are the dimensions of the battlefield and where each one of the group is situated?

I assumed the action takes place in a rather small room,

but apparently that's not the case?

Actually scratch that out of range, Roland would have noticed if there was a giant vault, it is a little higher at the center, but not 'beyond jump distance'. The highest point of the ceiling under the hole is about 12 ft.

Does anyone else want to see Swift Pebble dive inside the Formless through a hole she's carved into its back, then just swim around in its guts, slicing and dicing its innards before exploding out of a new wound like an adorable, fuzzy chestburster? Maybe holding a piece of its liver she carved off as a gift for Ripper?

No one? Just me?

That's too far for my tastes, and the liver is probably poisonous) Funny reaction is part horrified this time)

Hey guys, if there's no disagreement with the plan, vote for it so that DP could maybe make a 2nd update today if circumstances would allow, as he mentioned earlier?
