[X]The Smart Way: Huh… You still have your diplomatic credentials in your wallet…. Somehow? Perhaps it is time to play the role you really do not want to play. A German Diplomat.

honestly the red guard one seems funnier but this is more reasonable

[X]The Honest Way: Well you are a western trained doctor, and despite your dislike for war, and the people and leaders who wage it for no stupid idea… You would have to use that skill to hitch a ride to the Front.

[X]The Stupid Way: Well you maybe can do something that would be stupid, irresponsible, utterly asinine, and one thing that will surely get you killed if you were to be any more stupid and brazen about it. You are going to the Red Guard station, and joining China's Red Army.

[X]The Reckless Way: Well perhaps you could try to find the local spy ring and offer your services to them if nothing else than to help them get out of this increasingly unsafe for anyone, not Chinese city. Or maybe you are just letting your fear blind you.

Not gonna lie, the smart way seems boring and goes against his decision of not messing with politics that happened at the beginning of the event; I would rather be reckless.

Edit:Your anger and frustration blended in well with the MC.

What This person said. Why would we involve ourselves by playing a german diplomat after saying we would not ???
Because sometimes it leads to adventures!

And it's not like I'm going to roll the dice for being recognized and being made a prisoner by dear old Mao and then Sentenced to be executed only to be rescued by Erik?

No not at all!

I am sure hitch hiking our way to The front lines will also be a great adventure👨🏽‍🔬
This will also let heinrich heal people

A Journey to the West 2
A Journey to the West 2:

Nanjing, Peoples Republic of China, 1949

You looked into your pocket and realized the diplomatic papers of the German Republic were there. There were many things that were confusing like you still had them with you when you were sure they were still with the Diplomatic mission, which you ditched to play doctor in Shanghai. And get involved in an angel's mission to rescue his brother.

Which still somehow made more sense what you were about to do. Somewhere in your mind, you were wondering why the hell you were doing this and placing yourself into a situation where you had no control over.

Hell even joining the Red army for just hitching a ride to the west, was something that seemed like a better idea than this one. And that was possibly the worst thing you could do in terms of having control.

Walking up to people with guns, and demanding that they respect the diplomatic immunity of a potentially hostile nation. That nation most likely funding the nationalists, the enemies of the communists, and being a capitalist yourself, you knew you were in for a rough time.

So you did the only insane thing you had left, and walked towards them.

You held out the diplomatic papers. "Representative Deutschland!" You had proclaimed.

Instead, the men looked at the papers, and then your world went dark.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You awoke tied to a chair, as you saw a dim light blinding your face. The man overlooking you was walking in a circle. Which would have been slightly more intimidating with the fact he was draped in shadows and he looked more like a ghost.

But you had survived Nazis, so his attempts at intimidation were lacking, to say the least. He could have at least, tried to do something to make himself seem like less a nazi wanna-be. Like maybe wear brighter clothes, instead of a black trenchcoat and a fedora, with a red armband on his shoulder.

"Who sent you?" The man's german was shit, but you could understand him, despite the clear accent that was making you feel extremely offended at him. You wanted to lash out at his poor german, but you were smart enough to not make an enemy of this man, not yet at least.

"I'm a doctor." You stated, keeping your answers short so that this blockhead who was butchering your beautiful language.

"Likely story, you are a spineless!" the interrogator shouted as he pointed a finger at your face, trying to get you angry.

Instead, he just made you want to just get this over with. "You mean spy?" You said. "Stop butchering my beautiful language you halfwit."

That earned you a punch in the face. "What is your mission!"

"Would you believe me if I said I'm on a mission from god?" You snarked, not caring where you might see… plus you really were getting annoyed at this idiot who was really making things worse.

Plus you knew at this point, you might as well have fun with this fool.

"So you are missionary?!" He demanded.

You rolled your eyes. "Yes, I truly wish to proselytize your people to the Jewish Faith, even though I am not a Rabbi and do not even know the rites of my own faith to convert them."

That earned you a hit again, this time in the shoulder. "Shut up, and speak the truth?"

You were not going to be playing games anymore. "I don't have a mission here, and if I did, I would not be stupid enough to tell someone who would only get in the way of me accomplishing it."

Okay, maybe that wasn't the smartest thing to say. But it was the truth.

And that earned you another trip into the void of blackness, that was unconsciousness.

Unknown Location, Northwestern China, 1949.

You were on a cart, as you realized you were tied up.

"Finally awake white boy?" The other prisoner said, as you examined him. He was speaking english.

"Huh." You said. "Where are we?"

"Hell, or as those kids are calling it, The Mountian." The voice replied. You examined the man and realized he was… African? Indian, you couldn't tell with how the shadows cloaked his skin in darkness, but he was well enough. "Who are you?"

"Henrich." You stated.

The man gave a short chuckle. "Call me Ishmael."

"I haven't read moby dick." You replied.

That made the man laugh. "Well then, you might not get it. But do you have a skill?" He asked. "It may keep you alive boy."

"I'm a doctor." You replied. "I primarily do pharmaceuticals, but I can stitch people together in a pinch given the tools." You asked.

The man nodded. "Good. You may survive yet." He paused as he sighed. "I have heard stories about this place. About the people who run it. The guards are fanatical, wishing to turn anyone in the prison into a loyal soldier to the Peoples army for them. Torture, beatings, brainwashing, and experiments."

"And I thought I dealt with that with the Nazi's." You replied with sarcasm.

"I'm sorry that you have been forced into this situation again." He stated.

"I'm not. It made me who I am." You stated.
------------------------------------

True to its name, you were high on a mountain. It was an old fortification from one of the old dynasties, still in pristine and working condition, with prisoners maintaining it.

As you and the other prisoners were standing up, trying to stay warm from the cold.

You did not understand a word of the speech being given, but despite that, you were very certain you were angering the Warden.

Because you were hit again and lost into the void.
-----------------------------------------

When you awoke, where were you?:

[]In a cell: Ishmael smiled as he helped you. "Seems you just have all the luck. The Warden thinks you can't understand a word he says."

[]In The Warden's office: "You are the boy, Heinrich Oster? Good. I want to turn you into the most loyal soldier in the Peoples Army… and get your country to stop selling weapons to our enemies."

[]In the Medical Room: "You know, when I expected a rescue, I was thinking more a… angel falling from the Heavens." You saw a man with a monkey's tail. "Yes I know, human camouflage, really good on Sun Wukong to stop these people from killing me!? Well killing everyone else."

AN: Enjoy.

Instead, he just made you angry.
So he succeeded?

Who'd have thought bungling our roll for a ride would get exactly where we needed to go.
