[X] Plan: to grow stronger, better (55 depth)
-[X] We could feed her more… feed two extra depth
-[X] Fix the Door (4 Depth)
-[X] What they have learned, could be taught. (Gain Crustacean Crèche Teachers/Guardians as a tier 1 background)
-[X] Driftwood Doors! We know about these! Where to put them? Hallway in front of the mound
-[X] Brown Algae Seeds? These will bloom one day, maybe even soon! (may be useful for Crabriculture)
-[X] Try to make something with Black Sand
-[X] Flood the hallway connecting the shrine room to the lobster room
-[X] Catfish. Put them in the 4x4 room
--[X] make that room permanently underwater as well as the connecting hallways
-[X] Crab-Fu 2: Electric Boogaloo (28 Depth)

Okay, those otters destroyed us. Time to get some more wheight for us.

[X] Plan: Thunderstruck (41 depth)
-[X] We could feed her more… feed two extra depth (2 Depth)
-[X] Fix the Door (4 Depth)
-[X] What they have learned, could be taught. (Gain Crustacean Crèche Teachers/Guardians as a tier 1 background)
-[X] Driftwood Poles! What do they do? Not sure… But, they can be useful. Soon?
-[X] Brown Algae Seeds? These will bloom one day, maybe even soon! (may be useful for Crabriculture)
-[X] Try to make something with Black Sand
-[X] Permanent Air Pockets (7 Depth): This room is permanently protected from flooding (cannot be applied to the starting room)
--[X] Put it in the big room to the right of the main room.
--[X] Also flood the corridor to the shrine, so the lobsters can retreat as well.
-[X] Crab-Fu 2: Electric Boogaloo (28 Depth)

I've stated before that I'd prefer not to make the big room we just made flooded, because right now we've mainly got water stuff and we could use more variation in obstacle-ness against enemies that come in. So here's a plan that doesn't do that.

Edit : This is also fine.

[X] Learn and stand again (58 depth)

-[X] Expand sideways (1 Depth per tile) X tiles (write-in)
--[X] The underwater room, another 9 tile, south in a 3x3 pattern (9 depth)
---[X] Also flood the corridor to the shrine, so the lobsters can retreat as well.

--[X] Put them in the underwater room.
-[X] Crustacean Crèche II (20 Depth)

I'm really glad for that door, we should reinforce it when we can.
Guys, we just agreed we do need some muscle.
We do not, currently, have any unit/minion that cant breath underwater so no need for the airpocket for now and the shrine will shelter them anyways. and as i said, we need muscles.
I am kinda worried what the Dappled was ottered, hopefully just insults and threats, but we will see.... on that note, we need to learn languages :V
And i like the Crèche upgrade, which is really needed now.

on another note... do we need to wait until it comes up again or can we expand Crab-Fu to the entire dungeon somehow?

Why though? We can easily expand into another room if you want to add other things.

And I don't like having all our stuff smushed into one single room. It looks messy.
we can flood it anytime, but cant really dry it easy, not yet anyways.
as for heaving most of the minions together? well, we can move them any time. also, we would need to flood at least one of the corridors to it so the catfish can move from it otherwise they would be trapped there.

Uh... Permanent Air Pocket is the opposite to Permanently Underwater.

Edit: Admittedly, there's nothing stopping you from having both in the same tile. That would just give you a lake with an open surface, instead of an enclosed surface.

In the interest of not having a frustrating moment in the future:

Please read the update closely, because your plans have missed a fairly crucial point regarding the survival of your creatures. It is explicitly mentioned by Snippy that there is something causing him trouble.

???

If you mean that we permanently lost a unit of lobsters then yeah, I noticed that. Not much we can do about it though.

If you mean one of the otters talking to our prisioners... that makes me not want to feed her more than we need to. But then again we do want to recruit her. Does that mean it's not possible since she was spawned by another dungeon or something?

we can confirm it is neither of those things

Pretty sure it's about how the lobsters can't move on land, so they are incapable of making it into the safety of the shrine. They could get wiped out completely fairly easily.

Hmm, we could maybe flood the hallway connecting the lobster room with the shrine. That should not affect any creatures that can breathe underwater since every creature we get can at least swim.

flooded corridor added, may the lobsters can retreat next time.

Edit: also, forgot to add this: Thanks for the QMs and CrabtravelLLC for both the warning and the solution for that very important safety measure.

Honestly, Amilia's plan seems like what we need the most to solve most of our current issues:
  • We have too many small critters and don't have the muscle we need so we could do more damage and deal with damage reduction effects like Thick Fur and Paladin's Protection.
  • Some of our critters will get more damage which is something that can deal better with reductions in damage as mentioned before.
  • Flooding the tile that proved detrimental to lobsters was also solved.
  • I assume after such rough and shocking experience, we would want to go for more familiar/predictable things like Driftwood Doors instead of Driftwood Poles and an option that was seen last time instead of something new (Brown Algae Seeds versus other options).
So overall, I think this plan, even if most of the plans had a lot of similarities (Black Sand, Flood the tile near the Shrine, feed 2 depth extra to Dappled, Brown Algae seeds) the differences of Catfish and Electric Boogaloo and, in my opinion, that is all we need.

However, I do want to discuss an update to this plan. If we want to have big strong creatures among us, we should consider feeding it 5 depth instead or a similar to that amount. I would like to suggest 5 just because it seems like it wouldn't be too much or too little. Who knows, maybe lady Eel will feel thankful and more affectionate. This may be valuable especially considering one of the otters talked to her. Otterwise, I think it would be a missed opportunity if it was just too little or something. :D
