Gods of Chaos: a Riot God Quest

Authored Act:
[X] The Whispers of Murder (Lesser Act)
It is said that to kill a life stains the soul none but the Makers know or decree if it is true or not. Nevertheless, a whisper will come and empower a group to kill the impertinent Ogre who dares try to eat the great founders of humanity by pleading in the great book. But all this protection for the founders will be for naught because after the Ogre's death they will be the ones to have the urge to murder the founders. Yet the whispers say they should not be alone and die where they stand before the act is done but find those who revel in the death of others without remorse and with pleasure. To found a cult of murder where even if hunted down to the ends of Creation will never end since at least one will always escape refounding the cult. They will kill those who have stayed too long in the lands of creation whether prophets, rulers, or even mere mortals young and old in their demented heads all should die in the time of those they worship has chosen. Speak of the Outer Gods and ways to pray to them whether in the Seen or the Unseen and the Custodians to avoid their gaze to destroy them. In their eyes, death is an inevitability and they are the instrument.

I bring demons!
Authored:
[X] Diabolism (Grand Act)
In the shifting formless seas of the Unseen a Maker toils, crafting and shaping, attended to by a select few Abraxas. His celestial attendants collect the entrails of the outer gods both seen and unseen left behind after their great genocide, the visible filth from all the worlds and corpses of the mortal races.
Using these items the First 88 demons are born Creatures of corruption and destruction. Their creator cripples them stripping them of all will and desire, He names and binds them to the unseen and seals them off from the rest of the shifting world.

The abraxas are tasked with creation of a grimoire contain the names and the barbaric rituals needed to summon the bound creatures. The rites are foul and malicious capable of making the cruelest of tyrants balk. To speak their names induces a sense of deep unease to those that are unlucky to hear, be it beast or mortal. The grimoire is easily legible to are mortals and spirits even those that are incapable of reading. It is bound in the skins of an outer god and dropped upon the first world.

Those that deal with these creatures, diabolists, are marked with a sense of wrongness in the seen which is manifestation of a never healing wound upon their unseen self. Which grows larger with each use of the demons until a threshold is reached where the unseen self is bound in the same manner and a new demon is created. Diabolist will find their power more potent when the fleshless moon has risen.

[X] The Directives (Demi-Act)

An Abraxas has been summoned by the Architect to deliver a stone tablet containing new Holy Directivses to the new Celestial Sun Emperor of the Draghai Kerajaan. These new holy directives shall guide Draghai society into the ages beyond, and have incredible effects on the Kerajaan as a whole. The Abraxas is one of the Fifteen Greater Abraxas, and shall arrive in a suitably ostentious pillar of fire, before delivering the directives and departing.

These are the Great and Most Holy Directives:
- The Architect is the One True God, and you shall worship only Him. For the Architect is a jealous and avenging God [protecting and demanding what is rightfully and uniquely His]; The Architect avenges and He is full of wrath.
- The Druyul are the Architect's unique people and creations, and thus have a right to the World. The Architect has ordained the Draghai World-Empire as the vehicle of His Will and Power, and it shall never be stopped. For the universe is the Druyul's birthright, and thus shall be conquered both because it is pre-ordained and because the Draghai Kerajaan can.
- All Druyul are equal under the Eyes of the Architect, and shall not fight amongst each other. You shall treat all Druyul with respect and courtesy.
- You shall respect and obey your superiors, elders, and leaders, for they have devoted their life to the Architect.
- You shall not worship any False Gods or False Prophets, for they seek to destroy the Draghai Kerajaan. There are many of these False Gods and False Prophets, and they shall tempt those of weak will into obeying them.
- You shall obey the Will of the Prophet-Emperor, for he is the agent of the Architect's Will.
- You shall not steal, kill, commit adultery, or bear false witness against your fellow Druyul.
- You shall obey these laws from this day forward, for it is the Architect's Will.

(Time to lean into the whole Evil Empire angle completely and totally. You guys better build up your own factions, lol)

[] weaken the orc as much as possible

[] give the holystone the ability to fuse with other materials/items (demi-act)

an example would be if it fuses with a healing fruit it will gain the ability to self-repair or something like that but it won't lose any of his powers (his ability to improve pretty much just by existing and in case it are absorbed/fused with something before gives it another capacity it would not lose it)

[X] meet askr in a dream and embla to tell them about everything that the evil makers gave to the orc and what the weakness is... also that you will try to change the orc's appearance so that it cannot infiltrate but you don't know if it will be possible with the protection that the other makers are giving him...with the remaining power try to change the orc's head to that of a pig and his/her skin to green (demi-act)

My Act:
[X] Strip Nehu of The Might of the OutSlayer (Grand Act)
At this point The Outer Gods are far too weak now to threaten the entire Universe and can be allowed to exist without Nehu constantly hunting them down. If they do attempt to destroy everything it's likely The Custodians would be perfectly capable of suppressing them on their own now. In addition to her task being effectively completed she has long since surpassed her Mortality through her Legend alone and is only still able to wield The Might since she stopped being Mortal while in possession of it. In truth The Might should have left her a long time ago but due to her warped mental state she has been unable to find the peace required for it to leave her naturally. With how many centuries she's dedicated to her task, the loss of everything she once knew, and the dangling morsels of info she knows The Watcher possesses, she will likely never be able to break free from her wrapped state of mind even if told outright what she's doing is "Wrong". Thus it's unfortunately necessary for The Makers to step in and strip it from her and pass it on to The Custodians, so when true threats to The Universe emerge a hero might be chosen to fight them. Nehu will most certainly not take this well and will likely continue to act as The Void Huntress, hunting down and attempting to kill The Free Outer Gods, and with her mighty Legend she will not die anytime soon. Perhaps this will put her on the path to finding happiness and peace, perhaps it'll lead to her becoming as The Outer Gods themselves. Who knows what the poor soul's future will hold. Whatever the case this is sure to free up enough lose ends to make things Interesting.

Me after seeing that there was another update

Me after seeing when the update came out

Me when I figured that I can only write an Act after work

Anyway, jokes aside, I'm home after work and I can finally write an Act. I have so many ideas as to what I want to do and I'm still having doubts about the one that I selected.

(Time to lean into the whole Evil Empire angle completely and totally. You guys better build up your own factions, lol)
Oh god. Yeah, while I appreciate the Evil Empire angle, this level of favoritism and giving them so much is now going to force us to waste Acts to try to compensate for the other races in order to not get crushed, instead of, you know, things we want to do for fun.

See, this is why I take the approach of simply creating and letting my creations do their thing. Let them reach those points rather than force them to a certain path. This constant Druyul empowerment is unfair and annoying. And I like the Druyul! I like them a lot!

Anyway, rant time over. Sorry about that, @Scrivener. They are your people and you are allowed to do whatever you want with them and set whatever path you like for them and give them whatever benefits as their god. Know that I simply do not approve of all of them (I do enjoy the way you write though, very much so 👍).

Acts time.

Authored Acts:
[X] Create the Aëgridas, the fertile females of the garden (Lesser Act).
In the smaller Trees of Life that are located in the gardens of man and woman, a new phenomenon shall occur. On each tree six fruits shall appear, each growing to massive size, turning ripe and falling on the ground within three months, injecting a single seed into the ground immediately. Underneath the ground the seeds shall grow and develop into a humanoid shape, getting its nutrients from the earth and surrounding plants. After 6 months, 6 baby girls with green skin, eyes with black sclera with glowing green pupils and a single, long, whip-like antenna reaching the back of their neck.
These are the Aëgridas, sentient humanoids who are born from the trees of life every year, possessing a natural affinity to wood, earth, light and water magic. They all appear to look like human women just with green skin, long antenna and glowing green eyes. While they can eat and drink anything that a human or other sentient beings can consume, their main nutrients are sunlight, water and nutrients from other plants, be it the small weeds to the largest fruits of trees.
They also reach the age of maturity around the same time as a human.

However, these creatures shares several unique things about them. Like plants and trees, they are capable of living for a long, long time, up to around 1000 years. During that time their bodies might change in different ways like a slow but continuous growth in size or growth in other areas, but they will never appear older than a human woman in the middle of her life.

As adults the Aëgridas can release strong pheromones that will cause people to become extremely attracted towards them, no matter the species, race or sex. Using their head tentacle-antenna, which they latch to the body of another, they absorb their genetic codes and use it to impregnate themselves, giving birth to a new Aëgrida with the appearance of a female of the partner's race/species. An Aëgrida may always bear a child, no matter how old she gets.

The Aëgridas can easily adopt whatever culture they live in and are considered pacifistic, defending themselves only if attacked. Even then, they will always prefer to solve conflicts with words and barter than with a show of magical force.

Conflict is fun though! What's the point if everything stays utterly static, we're just going to get bored of tossing things at a wall. Having to actually react to save something if it becomes in danger adds some much needed excitement to things. So I enjoy seeing Scrivener try to build up his empire.

I would be willing to support it But In the Case of a lesser Act, It seems kinda underpowered(an not needing of a lesser), And not as interesting(changing) as the others. (Like from my understanding lesser, is the Level of being able to make it so all who learn in the University have there intellect increase). based on the Rules, Empower a single mortal, is a Demi-Act, Even your Greatly Enhance is still just empowering 1 mortal.

let me remind you of something... due to one of the laws that we create inevitably (and naturally) conflict, heroes and villains, etc.

will arise a good example is what happened between myridnia and humans no one interfered to create that conflict or to resolve it

Ehh, I'm not that interested, But I'm not against it as long as he isn't just straight up brainwashing people with his acts. Giving them visions, and stuff that they can use to be the 'evil empire' Sure, They decided to Follow it of there free will, and Decided that they wanted to do it also. However I would be slightly disapointed if the race of his empire becomes the 'evil' race, Because of his actions(like i like the ant-queens, A couple are 'evil' and a couple are 'good', which makes it an interening Story instead of, Oh that race, yeah they're all 'evil').

Good points, would mastery of Refutation be better?

Good points, would mastery of Refutation be better?
Unless If I'm mistaken, As long as its just empowering One being, and it doesn't spread by virture of the Act (So basically no empowering multiple by making the Empowerment spread itself) It would still just be a demi act. So Mastery of Refutation, Would still just be a demi, Since its still just empoweing one being. (However, you might want to keep it as a demi-act, Since those dont get cut off like the lesser acts do(only a total of 15 lesser and above acts pass each turn))

Demi-Act (1 Vote): An act of small divinity, manifesting on a local scale. Empower a single mortal. Grow a magical tree. Forge an item of power. Shape a landmark. Form a healing pool. (where I believe all three of your potential acts are)
Lesser Act (3+ Votes): An act of lesser divinity, manifesting on a regional scale. Empower a community of mortals. Create a new kind of creature. Raise up a mystical forest. Form an island. Forge an artifact of great power. Sculpt a mountain. (For Your act to get to here it would either need to Empower many of those learning in the university, or Enhance the university to Make It have a Constant Unique affect, But the last part if not Powerful enough could just be a healing pool kinda deal, so if weak enough could be a demi-act)

Anyone up for supporting my Diabolism act? An easy way to introduce some conflict without tampering with the wills of the races we've created.
I'm kinda against it Because there's only one book, and it doesn't Specify what they summoners actually get out of the Deal, So it doesn't seem like it would be that worth it. If there's more benefits (or specified benefits) for the Summoner, and Some lesser books then I would support it.

[X] A Gift and a Curse: Twelve Labors (Demi Act)
The great builder Unzo gained The Fishing Boat Horizon's hatred when he accidentally slew his savior and friend, the easily squished fishing spider. His dream incomplete he must travel on. Should he travel by water he will surely be hunted by the Horizon, who moves with the rage of a friend betrayed and single mindedness of the grieving. This Tale has not yet been written but is clearly true.
Unzo's act of amicicide did not only net him the hatred of Horizon, but the attention of their maker as well. They greet him in his dreams.

"Unzo of the Monument Makers, child of the Myridna. You have slain my twin born creation, first born of the Seen. Your Friend. Who fished you from the waves."
"You have chosen to come to the Seen, to live a life of meagerness and toil, devoid of the powers of your first born people. I will not deny you this."

I Curse You. I Bless You.

"You will Live, you will not escape the Seen. Until the tasks I give you are complete, you will be reborn in mortal flesh until your names outnumber the sands.
Any Legends will follow those names, and not your everborn soul.
Until Your Tasks are Finished and Grand Legend Built."
  1. For your second people the highland Myridna, you will build a fortress against want. Where the air flows clear and thick. Fresh water spiraling down to the wells like a ribbon from the sky.
  2. On a sky Island of gold you will craft a palace from woven sunlight.
  3. In the Lost Swamp you will craft a haven for travelers that can always be found.
  4. In the Depths of the World Sea you will build an obsidian Lotus with roots to shelter a city and petals soft enough to be the bed of leviathans.
  5. In any place build a shifting labyrinth of abalone and opal who's center will allow one to step to any location.
  6. An obelisk of porcelain detailing the Tournament of Life and Death.
  7. On Every continent you will build a place of safety and rest.
  8. You will build an arena where death can not touch the people inside it's circle.
  9. In the caverns that link continents below craft an upside down place. A sideways place. A place to trap the liminal. a place to trap demons.
  10. On the Tallest mountain, a Shrine to the World Tree. Of living wood.
  11. At an entrance to the Unseen build an Archive of Lives. Where people may consign their musings, and records. Diaries, and songs.
  12. You will go to your friend. Who you slew in your carelessness, and you will beg her for forgiveness. You will build her a house on the shore. That can encompass The Horizon. That is safe for a spider, so easily squished. If she is not happy with it. You will build her another. You will Name her and grant her the power of the Named. For she is your friend, and you hurt her.
I Bless You. I Curse You.

To be helped and hindered seen and unseen is the domain of mortals which I shall not begrudge.
No Maker will help in your buildings.
No Gifts from us will aid you.
My Wish will make is so.
Toil away in Joy or Misery.
For the Death of my firstborn creation.

[X] Create the Heart of the Sea (Lesser Act)
-At the bottom of the deepest ravine of Aebrirea's oceans, a colossal, city-sized clam is created.
—The clam's shell is made of a nearly unbreakable material that only grows stronger as the clam ages.
-Resting in the mouth of the clam is a massive, building-sized pearl that glows with power.
—This is the Heart of the Sea.
—The Heart of the Sea itself is as fragile as a normal, if particularly large, pearl would be.
—So long as the Heart remains in the ocean, the Sea Spirit's will is greatly empowered allowing it to not only reconnect its fragmented spirit despite the great land masses that split it but to even be a bit more powerful than it was before.
-If the Heart of the Sea is ever shattered, the World-Sea Spirit's being will once again be splintered, possibly even more so than before. Either way, it will take a long time for the World-Sea Spirit to recover unless the Heart is restored.
—Of course, all of that first requires getting to the Heart, which is in a nearly unbreakable shell that is only open occasionally, located at the bottom of the ocean, an ocean will fight you every step of the way until the bitter end if it believes you wish it harm.
Blessed be the Spirit once broken.

[X] Create the Nightmare's Eye (Lesser Act)
At first glance, this magical artifact is just a smooth globe of polished glass, albiet one that is impossibly clear and free from even the slightest of imperfections. If one concentrates and peers deep within, one might catch hints of fantastical vistas and astounding sights, of grand otherworldly wonders like none has ever seen before, only to have these mirages flit away moments later. No matter how closely one looks, one will never see more than small flashes of these tantalizing visions.

Sunlight hides the dark truth of the Nightmare's Eye. It is only at night, when the sun has faded and the moon rises in its place, that the images within the orb become clear. But the beautiful visions of the day are at night replaced with terrifying scenes of horror and madness. Scenes of slaughter and death, of pain and suffering, of grief and despair, of every evil known and unknown to the world. Worst of all, all who see these terrible visions will instinctively understand that the events portrayed within are all possible futures of the world; everything the Nightmare Eye's shows is something that has some potential to become real.

Though few are able to tolerate such appalling sights for long, many will nevertheless try, for the Nightmare's Eye may be used to divine future events. With proper focus, one can guide the Nightmare's Eye to any place and time and have it portray all manner of potential tragedies and atrocities, and in doing so offer insight on how to avoid such fates (or perhaps how to ensure they come to pass). But one must be cautious and careful, for those who delve too deep will inevitably become lost to madness.

Hmm, maybe I'll do this...

Authored Act:
[X] Create Voidbeasts (Lesser Act)
-Strange and frightening beings that live in the void between worlds, but occasionally get caught in a planet's gravity and dragged down to the surface. Voidbeasts naturally have malleable fluctuating forms adapted to surviving in the airless and gravity-free void. They propel themselves with magic, and feed on light, interplanetary dust, and the plentiful wisps of magic that emanate off the Cosmic Paths, which they possess a keen sense for perceiving.
-When captured by a planet's gravity, they instinctively curl themselves up into a resilient pod capable of surviving reentry, before ballooning out and parachuting to the ground. Not well adapted for life in gravity, they must then drag themselves along on tentacles and pseudopods, or swim with disturbing undulating movements, and the much higher energy requirements force them to hunt food to eat. In this state they seem to be horrid, terrifying monsters that ooze along and consume the unwary. But the truth of the matter is that they are simply out-of-place animals trying to survive, and they will generally simply try to drag themselves to the nearest Cosmic Path, which they can then partially traverse in order to once again return to the Void.
-While living in the Void, they are actually largely harmless, content to drift and live their strange lives in space; though the occasional curious prodding at travelers along the Cosmic Paths might be interpreted as an attack, the Voidbeasts actually only seek to feed on meat when they need to sustain their metabolism against the tyranny of gravity.

Authored Act
[X] Accumulated Vigor persists in bodies after death, and can be manipulated by various magical disciplines. (Grand Act)
-Vigor remains in people's bodies after they die, slowly decaying over time along with the body. This mystical decay can be slowed or even halted by embalming, in much the same way as physical decay. While vigor would usually offer resistance to magic, this dead version has no will behind it and so is vulnerable to some sort of manipulation by many magical disciplines. In particular:
-- Mystical Architecture may be used to create Ossuaries and Burial Sites. Ossuaries are locations for the long term storage of Vigorous bodies, slowing their decay, and exceptionally well built ones can even cause that vigor to slowly grow over time. Burial sites are simple pieces of architecture in which bodies may be left to decay in a manner corresponding to of another sort of magic such as entombment for Earth Magic, sea burial for water or sea magic, or sky burial for life magic. Such sites produce a slow steady source of magical power fueled by the decaying vigor of the stored corpses.
-- Solar and Fire magic have access to the rites of Cremation, the quick and complete destruction of a body to immediately convert its residual vigor into Solar or Fire energies that can be used for other spells. This is much faster but less efficient than a proper Burial Site, and can be used on bodies animated by later items on this list.
-- Lunar Magic may tie Unseen spirits to bodies, allowing them to burn away to body's vigor to move it as it could in life for a time. This works best binding the soul of the person who has passed from that body, but that isn't required.
-- Various Elemental magics may practice "Walking Entombment" in which a body is shrouded in a physical form of the element like sand or clay for Earth, vines for Wood, or full armor for Metal and magically animated. The animation can be easily sustained by the body's vigor for as long as that lasts, and is capable of crude approximations of the motions the body knew in life without requiring direct control by the magic user.
-- Death Magic permits the direct animation of dead bodies and their vigor without any intermediary. Bodies so animated are capable of precise duplication of the actions set into it by practice of vigor in life, but are incapable of any meaningful improvisation. This is by far the most efficient form of Animation especially in terms of making use of small amounts of residual vigor found in those with minimal physical training.
-- A skillful Dramaturgist may select bodies of particular note and present them in ways that evoke their living self to harness a fraction of the Legend a creature may have Cultivated in life to empower any of these other techniques.

On one hand, are we really doing this?
On the other, why bother with empires, when a simple tale can have much grander results?
Oh god. Yeah, while I appreciate the Evil Empire angle, this level of favoritism and giving them so much is now going to force us to waste Acts to try to compensate for the other races in order to not get crushed, instead of, you know, things we want to do for fun.
Don't worry, I don't really intend on updating the Druyul much after this. All the Demi-Act did was give them some holy directives that they don't really have to follow. At this point, the Draghai Kerajaan has become self-perpetuating, so I'll be able to move on to other civilizations.
I honestly don't really know what I'm going to do next turn ngl, maybe scatter a few artifacts across the world or something.
