--[X] Some group, "secret, in woven shadows hidden true", as the fey's spirit we questioned in a temple of Ikomi, put it, promised rewards to fey on Lirman to hunt us when we've arrived on the Island.
--[X] We were targeted by the invisible foe while sailing from Orinulu, and later we managed to receive a divination that this foe was man in black guise and black of heart, a killer though he did not come to kill, who was here at the behest of another, one who means ill not just to this ship and all upon it but to the world entire.
--[X] After the battle with the dragon we vanquished, somebody sicced a band of Knikut on us, somebody powerful enough to have means to contact them from afar.
-[X] There are worrying global developments we are aware of.
--[X] During our clash with Neverborn on Korman we received warnings from Luaza, foremost Ikomi priestess of Anwa and the grandmother of the king of Korman, against the coming peril, the great storm rippling veil between worlds and driving shadows before it, bringing dark times ahead, only likely to grow darker before the light comes out of the east.
--[X] She told us that two and a half seasons ago, at the start of the year, something very wrong happened, something from beyond the borders of this world broke in, something that breaks that which is held sacred, vows of fellowship and faith, tangling the threads of fate to its own ends and binding in that net souls great and small.
--[X] Just as the king, Luaza was killed by the treachery of the Neverborn, and we couldn't get further to the heart of the matter with her.
--[X] We also received information about worrying developments in Oromo of the Thousand Towers, which may be connected to the Neverborn troubles we see everywhere, on Korman, in the White Lands and in people like Ulk.
-[X] After the battle with the dreaming dragon it prophesized ruin for us, and it didn't look like it was just spiteful cursing of the dying foe.
-[X] Can this all be connected, in part or in full?
-[X] If Moru and Ziku are interested in the dragon, show them the dead egg, the golden sheet and tell them of our investigation in the Willowbrook.

[X] Inge, the girl has been showing more and more reckless courage these past few weeks and while you are proud of her you worry just the same

All right, changing my vote to include a write-in.

Please consider voting for it, as the last arc have shown, investigation is good for us because it prevents really bad outcomes, like having to run, as DP said, from a daemon-tainted high CR fire elemental, and can give us near ideal outcomes, which we got from the arc, again as DP said.

We can tell things directly pertinent to our situation and those who are with us, and the general info we've received on the global situation.

If anybody has corrections/suggestions to include, please tell.

@myrix , change my vote (in the place of Moru action, because your speach includes this topic)

It will be very funny to read how this crowd will be cramped in Marcella's cabin :D

Tried the tally, and I don't know how it works exactly, but I guess you have to include the whole write-in with all the subitems for it to count properly, right now it doesn't merge your vote for the write-in.

Geography thought: maybe we go to Orinilu before Apuku? Anwa islands lies far to the south from the Mouth of the World.

[X] Pebble in Swift Rushing Waters, or Swift Pebble for short, the otter-kin you unwittingly dragged into a battle. You could certainly use more os her help as an interpreter, if she is willing to give it

I still want the Otter

I would prefer to do this as well, but I'm not sure how our supply situation will be by that point. @DragonParadox, with the seasonal changes in wind and ocean currents, how much longer could we expect it to take to reach Orinilu compared to Apuku? And would we have the supplies to manage it?

It was 40 days from Apuku to Storheaven, of which you have already made 3 on the return voyage. Apuku to Orinilu at this time of year is about 30 days. You would save about 15 days by cutting the corner, though your supplies would get worse if you did so. You would not run out mind, but you would be scraping for more salt fish for breakfast, fresh fish for lunch and surprise salt fish for dinner.

We intented to drop the Inoko brothers to hwlp the princess from Korman, right? We need to go to Apuku first.

Well, mead is an excellent source of calories, so we could always ask Zaia to supplement our little fleet's supplies by producing 30 gallons of the stuff every day.

To the Google! 🤓

At about 350 calories to the cup of mead, and 16 cups to the gallon, 30 gallons is good for 480 cups. That's easily enough for every member of the fleet to have two or three cups per day. 700 to 1050 additional calories per person isn't enough on its own, but that would really help stretch our supplies for a while.

If that's where they want to head next, we owe them that much for helping us and the Danuk, but we haven't seen them express any interest in it yet, IIRC.

Yeah. We actually should simply let the next conversation tell us what they want to do next.

I would at least suggest it to them.

It completly fits their profile, they can both oppose daemons and get a future ruler (or at least high noble) deep in debt with them and their god.
Perfect case for their style of missionary-work.

I have in mind approximate plan: quick trade in Orinilu - dealing with stuff in Apuku - delivery of fire brothers to the Inaurna Empire. Of cause it is compleatly unreliable, it is DragonParadox quest, after all, and also my plans not always win.
But I fear that if we go to Anwa Islands now, Antonio will begin to hurry up us for the trade journey to Orinilu, and we would not have enough time to deal with stuff.

We can probably base our operations out of Orinilu after this. After all, we practically saved a house from financial ruin. I'm sure that getting a oermanent base there is doable. From there we can go anywhere.

If we do stop in Apuku first, I wouldn't want to stay there for long before heading back to Orinilu. The Pride of Koire is not going to want to linger, and we really need to sail with them to Orinilu, if only to protect our investment in them.

We need them to safely reach home, their mission accomplished with flying colors, to get the benefit of having been their savior and integral to the trading they were able to accomplish in Stormheaven. After all, even if we hadn't needed to save them from pirates, without us there to prevent war between the Danuk and Wyrdoki, the Pride would have been unlikely to trade for tin at all.

Returning to Orinilu with three ships full of tin is going to help our reputation there quite a bit, I believe, since they're currently at war with the Tin League and don't have a ready source of the metal coming from elsewhere. House Koire can also help us get established in Orinilu, as it seems like a much better location for a base of operations than Apuku, IMO. Between the profits from trading, our reward from the Danuk, and the proceeds from the Dragon corpse, hopefully we'll have enough funds for a decent compound.

A point on pirates.

The last ones swore that the brother of the guy we killed would avenge them.
If we sail straight to Orinilu it seems unlikely that anyone could find us on the open sea, but if we stop in Apuku first, the Anwa-pirate might hear of our journey and catch us...

Yeah, that's a good point. And it's not like Marcella is an inconspicuous ship, being notably larger than any other ship sailing these waters and visually distinctive. Our arrival will definitely be noted in Apuku, and if someone is searching for us, that's the best place to have put the word out to be on the lookout.

Hey guys, might I still interest you in including the write-in in your votes?

It promises a juicy scene, with all characters being together and discussing all the global plot points we've got from the start of the quest.

And it would be useful, because we are being targeted. When we were targeted on Lirman, one of our men-at-arms died; when we were targeted after the battle with the dragon, Roland almost died, surviving only due to 1000 gp talisman we've got on extremely lucky market roll. I'm really afraid that if we won't do something about it, attacks will continue, sooner or later we'll get unlucky combat rolls again and somebody will die, and that will be final because there is no resurrection.

The quest has enough complexity that our investigations can change the outcome; why not try to do it to mitigate this global danger to us?
