Well it's seems ole Joe is replaced by Comrade Zhukov…

I don't know how to feel about this.

No way... No bloody way... Oh yeah, baby, it's time to execute Beria! :D
Unfortunatly, Beria is still the second most powerful man in the Soviet Union.

Fortunately, Zhukov has something that not even Stalin had. And yes this is very important.

An Air Tight Reputation of being a badass against the Nazi's, the Support of the Army, and the Masses for being the Hero of the Soviet Union, leading a grand campaign across the Reich's land... True support might I add.

And being a man who Beira can't just kill otherwise everyone knows it will be him and then later kill him.
He was competent with military issues.
He's also someone that is... rather surprisingly for being the new head honcho of the Soviet Union, a Decent man, who is not going to continue Stalin's Policies.

Survival, and Journey to Berlin
Survival, and Journey to Berlin

[X]Find Clothes: You are really nacked and that is very conspicuous. Rolled:D100 => 77

You walked throughout the night, towards a glow of the town in the distance, and saw a farmhouse that was in the distance. It was a quiet place, one that seemed abandoned by the homeowners, or they had decided to hide in the basement in the night, to hide from the allied bombers.

And on the line, the clothes that were drying over the night, were some clothes your size, along with a bigger jacket you could use. You took it and quietly put them on, before making sure to leave something behind.

A note of sorts, to remind yourself you were not a thief. What you were doing wasn't a bad thing.

You needed to help the people you cared about.

And so you put on the jacket and began to walk east, following the train tracks, hopefully towards Berlin, and to the Old Man.

Random Event Roll: D100 => 91

You saw the car before they saw you, as you hide in the tree line of the woods.

The car was no longer adorned with Nazi propaganda, flags, or pageantry. Instead, it was adorned with a flag of Germany, a tricolor flag you had never seen before, then the flag of the Wermacht.

And you saw him.

The Old Man. He was wearing his full dress uniform, as he took a breath, stepping out of the car in a haze of cigarette smoke.

Even blind he looked towards you, a smile on his face.

It took you a moment to realize that he was waiting for you to come out of the woods, to come towards him. He was waiting for you, as you realized he did not have the courage, or the need to come out and look for you.

You would have found him anyway.

You always did.

You had taken a moment to take stock that things were not the same.

He had stood firm as he gazed at your arm, before looking at the wound on your head, then to the numbers on your arm. He lowered the sleeve. "It's okay." He said. "Your safe now."

You finally broke down in tears in the Old Man's Arms.

December 24th, 1944

The room seemed to shake again, as another bomb went off. Berlin was still under constant bombardment.

The shouting beyond was even louder. "We must save Germany, this was Hitler's war, not Germany's war! We must seek peace!"

"They will not accept peace, nothing less than unconditional surrender. We have to keep fighting, otherwise, Germany will not exist! Hydra and the SS are in open rebellion, Hitler's loyalists that we failed to capture are waging a guerilla campaign against the homeland, and you want us to keep fighting? We cannot stop the allies from bombing us!"

"They have already taken east Prussia and have taken over Poland. The Allies are at the Rhine? How long do you think until they pass the Rhine, they cross into Germany itself!?" The voice spoke.

The Old Man's voice rose again. "Germany bleeds, and the only way we can prevent this bleeding, and begin the healing, is to stop this war."

"I did not take you for a man who would hope for peace Hans?" Beck replied, finally speaking. "After all this time"

"I believe in a strong Germany. We cannot become strong if we are destroyed."

There was silence.

AN: Enjoy, and vote in plan format.

Is it unrealistic that an 8-year-old can possibly affect the outcome of the second world war to make it end a few months early?

Yes.

Is it something a Comic book story would do?

Absolutly.

That's my thought process on the whole thing.

Would it be hilarious? Absolutely, and that's all that matters.

How many higher-ups in the Allies would be more amenable to peace if we offered to help bring down Hydra?
While certain generals in the Army would be willing.

I believe the Words "We will accept nothing but an unconditional surrender" are the terms that Britain and the US are shooting for.

And even Zhukov wants Germany to be occupied and disarmed, as that was what they agreed to.

The fact that Germany wants peace, even a status quo peace, after all that happened, shows just how badly Hitler's early victories have affected high command confidence, even in this losing situation

---[X] "But the war is lost, we can't win, can we? Britain, the Soviets, the Americans, all have sworn to bring us down. If we're defeated, we have to ensure that Germany will win the peace. Let us be gracious in defeat and perhaps our foes will be gracious in victory. If we help them with Hydra and the SS, maybe we can save Germany as a nation." Your pause. "Or we can watch it all burn and hope for the best, just like the Führer did."

-[X]Learn a New Skill: You want to learn something useful (Write in Skill you wish to learn and line tail below)
--[X]Stealth: You have already been captured once, and it nearly cost you your life. It would be wise to take some measures to ensure it does not happen again.

Reasoning:

Talk About the Future: This seems important.

Stealth: I would really prefer not to get caught again if we do something risky.

Need to decide whether to make a speech or remain quiet in terms of what to say to the men of the government.

I do find it funny when people complain about realism in settings where unrealistic things happen all the time and certain people just happen to be complaining about one specific thing. One of the best examples I can think of being Fallout where people complain about it being unrealistic that radiation would have lasted so long and still affecting things despite the fact that radiation in Fallout tends to do shit that pretty much makes it magic by real world standards.

But yeah, don't think people would complain much here considering that we already built the bomb that killed Hitler. On top of that we are also a mutant that survived getting shot in the head by moving in a certain way due to our power. Also Marvel Comics has likely had equally unrealistic things happen already if not more so.

No one, perhaps except Hans Oster, and Shaw, know we are a mutant.

That is something that is going to remain your little secret for awhile.

They know that grinding Germany into the dirt was what allowed someone like Hitler to come to power in the first place, don't they? Anyway, I think we can deal with being disarmed, but occupation was what led to the whole Iron Curtain fiasco.

But it also allowed for a total denazification by the Allies, something I fear may not be able to happen if Germany... is left to do it itself.

Was kind of hoping that would be a separate vote because I kind of feel like we should say something, but I have no idea what. Guess I'll edit that into my plan if someone comes up with something good.

Okay, fair enough. But I think we'll want some guarantees that Germany won't be divided into capitalist/communist chunks like in OTL.
I remember reading that in the 50's Stalin was willing to allow German reunification if they would become a neutral nation, not able to join any sort of millitay or economic alliances with the West or the East.

The West did not accept because that would mean they would be disarmed, and the East did not accept because a unified Germany would dominate the European economy.

Could be wrong though
