I'm no geologist but the ore contained within the mine is one that contains lead and does not also contain silverWe definitely need more economy as soon as we beat these Norscans into the ground.
@JuliusNepos might I ask which ore our lead comes from?
Lead isn't found naturally on it's own. Most commonly it's found as part of Galena Ore, which is an ore that has both Lead and Silver in it.

Are you guys seriously doing censuses, law codes, and culture when you've got hostile Norscans ruling one of your villages, a Chaos sorcerer that just blew up your army, and a wight coming to kill you? It is impossible for that to be a good idea. What on earth is going on with this thread.
I can absolutely make that a thing to decide upon as part of battle plansHey, JuliusNepos when we potentially get our assassins do we get to decide how to deploy them? Because, I've been thinking that it might be best if we're able to get the wizard as well to have the wizard and the sorcerer do their magic duel, and partway through have the assassin assassinate the sorcerer because wizarding is distracting so it'll be a lot easier to kill him then than it would be under normal circumstances.
[X] A census of Akendorf.
[X] Attracting Culture.
[X] Localize the Law Code.
[X] Train for the duel of your life
A chaos sorcerer wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.
the mine produces lead and just leadI ask cause even if it isn't Galena, there could be other useful metals in the ore.
Copper, antimony, and Iron are all options as well.

Thats not a thing that ocurrs naturally.
We may want to check and see if our mine is chaos tainted. . .
The only likely byproduct of a lead-zinc mine (which it sounds like we have) is zinc, which is only really useful as the secondary material in making brass. I can't see a lot of call for it, assuming that we even have the ability to extract it from ore, which is not at all guaranteed. Maybe stop bugging the QM about it?
Brass is very useful to folks with fleets because it doesn't corrode or rust in seawater.
Most fittings on age of sail ships were made from it.

I'm not a geologist and things are abstracted
I rolled for what resources the town had and it was a lead mine, not a lead and silver mine
We're hiring them specifically to target the BBEG they don't have a purpose other than killing the BBEG if they die in the process so be it we just get our money back.If you want to get our rookie assassin killed... target the BBEG
Just lead it go, dude.Well, I guess you now know more about lead for the next quest?
