Is the world map the same as in Oichi's quest?

Nyet. I am searching for a proper emtpy map from VC4, but it is almost impossible to find one - if anybody can help here, that would be much appreciated.

Also, with the Germanian win, please allow me to update the informationals, and then post the first turn!

Here is something:

I don't know if that will help.

While I am disappointed that I did not get the chance to vote because I was busy with school, I am content with knowing that my preferred vote would have won anyway. Hail Germania! Gott mitt uns!

…Minerva pulled the lever in this continuity, didn't she?

Yeah, she did... One of the reasons the war has lasted this long, even with all the Federation victories afterwards: The desire for revenge for the 5.4 million people killed in the Valkyria Bomb explosion was more than just a good motivator on the battlefield, and the "Remember Schwartzgrad" battlecry is even now used by several states to whip up anti-Federation fervor - Ostmark is busy rebuilding the city, but nobody actually wants to go back to the city where over five million souls vanished in the blink of an eye. Of course, they may not have a choice in the matter.

How bad did it affect all the nations in it, then? Economically, socially, politically, and psychologically? Or would you rather like to explore this during the quest?

If anything, were there any massive diseases, or huge political changes?

Europa's Narben - Turn One, January-April
Pyotr surveyed the map in front of him, the chanting mass a dull roar in the background. March 22nd was always a day when the Communists became uppity, but the situation was worsening to a worrying degree: Where once only a hundred or so workers would march through the streets there was now a mob, surely in their thousands strong at least, holding hammers, torches, placards and thrice-damned Koltov Cocktails. He was in luck today however, the army was still ruled the streets and the mob hadn't become suicidal enough to clog rotary cannons with their bodies. But Pyotr grimaced at the thought of the rioters managing to overpower both himself and the garrison he led, and being able to storm the Imperial Diet: That would have likely signalled the beginning of the end for the Kingdom of Germania, and the start of a civil war.

Alexei Throma, the useless buffoon in charge of Volzk, wanted a peaceful solution to the mess. Over two to three-thousand people were rioting, destroying the city, and Throma wanted peace? Well, in an ideal fantasy world perhaps. The situation on the ground was slowly yet surely improving. The riot police's tactics were working surprisingly well, luring them to the Hanslag-Platz. All the while more of his men arrived, those whom he could trust to do the good thing, to fight for the good cause.

The Lieutenant Colonel traced the roads the Communists were taking and where they had spread in their chase of the 'fleeing' police, and the central plaza where they were gathering in a massive near-crush of bodies. The riot police were creating a cauldron, letting them through at one end while barricades and great masses of men and police blocked them from leaving, the maneuver neatly packing them into a single pocket which he could destroy at his leasure. Armoured cars and commandeered trucks shifted men and materiel from one hot-spot to the other, creating an ever thicker cordon - the front ranks consisting of riot police, the second and third of Stormtroopers and Snipers, weapons at the ready and ammunition issued.

Pyotr Leopold Schöffer nodded to the adjudant that had been lurking near the door, who straightened out and snapped out a smart salute. It was time to end this charade. Throma would learn that it was here that the rifle, not the word, or the pen, was the supreme ruler.

The row in front of Martz was beginning to thin, the riot police having slowly yet surely retreated over the past few hours. Nervously he clutched the long-barreled ZM MP 5B submachine gun in his hands, the shouts and yells of the mass of rioters in front of him loud like churchbells, louder even that those, more akin to the din of a long artillery barrage than any other sound he had heard: The whistle of the sergeant could barely be heard over it, and as one the mass cheered. The Police was retreating - but that cheer died down, slowly yet surely, when Martz and the rest of the 923. Kompanie took a single step forwards, the loud clack of boots crashing down on the cobblestone road echoing through the plaza.

"This is a warning to all protestors! Cease all disorderly behavior at once, and calm down-!"

"We cannot calm down, we are at boiling point! Down with the Capitalists , up with Communism! Down with the Imperialist system, up with the red flag!"

Martz winced as the police speaker went down, a rock having hit him squarely in the face. The crowd roared, but the men of the Kompanie had seen worse things. The first row knelt down, and suddenly he found himself staring at the crowd - had it been that large? - before the next orders came out from the lieutenant. With a mechanical motion, the Shocktrooper withdrew the magazine from his belt, inserting it with a clack in his MP 5B, racking the bolt in unison with the rest of the men. Another motion, and the submarine guns were leveled at the mass of rioters in front of him. The similarity to a firing squad was not lost on Martz, and he didn't dare let his mind wonder how many of his comrades in arms thought the same. The safety went off with a click, and the foremost group of Communists, noticing what was happening, stepped back with terrified expressions.

"THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE!"

For a moment, the crowd simply stood, roaring and howling, but standing still. Martz breathed out in relief - and then saw a trio of Koltov cocktails soar overhead, smashing into the pavement and unleash their stickly burning payload. Some two-thousand men and women cheered, and as the Lieutenant blew on his whistle, Martz closed his eyes.

As the line erupted in fire and smoke, the screaming started.

POLITICAL TROUBLES

The Grand Coalition - Chancellor Kurt Haessler
Germanische Volkspartei (GVP)Loyal, can be counted upon to support legislation. 21 seats.
Germanische Demokratische Partei (Kurt's Party) (GDP)Loyal, can be counted upon to support most legislation. 54 seats.
Konservative Volkspartei (KVP)Neutral, leaning hostile - can support, but is more likely to go in opposition depending on the law that is going to be passed. 60 seats.
Yggdist Partei Germania (YPG)Somewhat loyal, leaning neutral - Somewhat loyal, leaning neutral - will vote according to the clergy and laymembers positions on policies. Involvement of Valkyria-blooded are major swing factors. 16 seats.
Zentrumspartei (ZP)Neutral, leaning hostile - can support, but is more likely to go in opposition depending on the law that is going to be passed. 80 seats.

Largest opposition parties
Kommunistische Partei Germania (KPG)67 seats. Fervently against the government, which it sees as an outgrowth of nobility-backed military and industrial interests.
Germanischnationale Volkspartei (GNVP)48 seats. Supports some government legislation, but hostile to the government over relations to other former Empire nations, and wishes a return to absolute monarchy.

It has been discovered that there will be a Vote of No Confidence in two turns, and everyone is preparing for it: Proposed by the KPG, it is likely to be supported by the Konservative Volkspartei (KVP) and the Germanischnationale Volkspartei (GNVP). The following options, depending on their stance on the vote, will either reduce or increase the chance that the Vote of No Confidence goes through: If the vote succeeds, a new election will be called, and Kurt Haessler removed as chancellor. Due to the incoming vote, some categories cannot be accessed until the vote is either rejected, or goes through.

Also due to the preparations, no legislature can be proposed until the VoNC has been either rejected or passed. This Vote will influence the rest of the quest, depending on whether it passed or was rejected - if the government falls, chaos can ensue, and radical parties can have an easier way of worming their way within power. Choose carefully!

Should, due to the effects of various options, the loyalty of various parties rise high enough that 3/4ths of the Imperial Diet is loyal, the vote will instantly halt and locked options
(Economics, Diplomacy, Intelligence, Legislation) will become available - If more than half of the Imperial Diet is hostile, depending on what options are taken, options to prepare for a civil war will open.

Vote of no Confidence - Chance of Succeeding:
70%

Against the Vote (Choose a maximum of two options):
[ ] On the defensive
- [ ] Gather support for Chancellor Kurt Haessler

Though the Chancellor is tired and wants to retire from politics, he is sorely needed until the end of the term to at least regain some sense of stability within Germania. But as it stands, the various parties with the most seats are neutral at best and ready to go into opposition at worst. While it is not much, a private meeting wherein the leaders of the parties can voice their concerns and irritations can do much to improve cooperation and, at minimum, allows the Chancellor to see which proposals need to be considered upon in the future.

The chance of the Vote of No Confidence succeeding is reduced by 8 per-cent. Cannot be taken again!

- [ ] Replacing semi-independent voters
There are several parties within the coalition totalling over 200 seats, which means at times the people whom hold the various seats vote against proposals made by other parties within the coalition due to ideological and personal reasons: With the impending vote of no confidence, this behavior needs to stop! The various parties need to be kept loyal to the Coalition as a whole, and handle disagreements behind the scenes to prevent a breakdown, with disloyal seat holders quickly replaced.

The chance of the Vote of No Confidence succeeding is reduced by 7 per-cent. Cannot be taken again!

- [ ] Dissolve the Imperial Diet...?
It is do or die. Dissolving the Imperial Diet will cause immediate elections to be called, which will hopefully allow the coalition to win a re-election and in the process halt any future Votes of No Confidence by at least a year. But this will prove yet again the weakness of the democratic system, and the people may take their voting mileage elsewhere...

The Imperial Diet is dissolved effective immediately, and elections called. Results may vary.

or

For the Vote (Choose one party, then a maximum of two options):
Chancellor Kurt Haessler is growing older and more weary by the day, and it is impossible to say that the government will do anything about the current economic crisis and the chaos that still grips Germania after the fucking Atlantic Federation took our land and expelled our people.

The Communists have their own reasons for supporting the vote of no confidence, of course. From encouraging the people to join their revolutionary groups to showing the weakness of the capitalist/imperialist systems, they have momentarily formed an unofficial alliance...

[ ] The GermanischNationale VolksPartei
- [ ] Co-opt Conservative programs

The Germanian Conservative scene is divided, and the GNVP is but one facet of this divided wing of politics. While it may be off-putting to some of the older members of the Party, it is for now needed to speak the same truths as the more moderate proponents of the ideology. In plain speech, the need to radically reform the nation, revolution by ballot lest it be by bullet, must occur now. When the people see both the nationalists and united workers' populists shake hands to fix the nation, the center and the government with it cannot hold. As a side benefit, the adaptation of some policies the conservatives have would put more funds and favors in the party's pockets while decreasing those of the Grand Coalition...

DC: 20, higher rolls grants better results.
The chance for the Vote of No Confidence to succeed is increased by 10 per-cent. Cannot be taken again!

- [ ] Encourage Haessler to resign
We have nothing personally against Haessler - the man would be a symbol of honour and worthy of respect if he were still in the Kaiserliche Reichswehr, but at the moment, he is in the way of a new, proper Germania as the Chancellor of the old order. But there is no need to immediately jump to blackmail and assassination.

Colonel Becker is an old acquaintance of the Chancellor, and the pair frequently meet still in the Ludz beerhalls. Given the status of Becker as a middle-ranking functionary within the GNVP, we can ask him to persuade Haessler to resign as a concerned friend, with as much force as he is comfortable with. If it fails, nothing but minor amounts of time is lost.

If the dice rolls above 80, Haessler will immediately resign, and elections will be called - given the state of Germania, many will vote for the right and left, leaving the center isolated. If the dice rolls below 80 but above 50, the chance of the vote to go through will be increased by 5 per-cent. Cannot be taken again!

- [ ] Prepare for a Putsch
The Imperial Diet is filled with decadence, with instability and a lack of purpose that is simply dreadful to behold. The parties bicker and fight, the laws get blocked by partisan movements, unity is nowhere to be found, and the chancellor rules by emergency decree more often than not: Even the independent polling services run by Baltland to the north state that over 43 per-cent of the people support a return to the autocracy that existed before the Great War, and not the Constitutional Monarchy Germania is now.

It is time to make a stand. A stand against Communism, against the decadence of democracy, against those who would work against the Germanian people to "protect their legal rights and wellbeing". Lieutenant-Colonel Schöffer reports that some units within the Kaiserliche Reichswehr support our position on this matter: It is with their support that we can launch a putsch, should the communists take over after, or the Chancellor survive, the Vote of No Confidence.

DC: 20, higher rolls grants better results. If the roll goes under 20, the chance for the vote to succeed is lowered by 30 per-cent.
The 8. Infanterie-Division (Mot.) and the 2. Panzer-Aufklarüngs-Regiment will support the Germanische Volksfront in the event of Civil War. 5,000 rifles and 120 light artillery pieces removed from the national stockpile, and added to the GNVP stockpile.

This will move the country closer to a civil war even in the event the vote of no confidence succeeds.

or

[ ] The Kommunistische Partei Germania
- [ ] Smear the Chancellor

If there is one person to blame for the state of workers and peasants, it is the class traitor Haessler that sits in the Imperial Diet! All that talk of freedom, of social progress and greater rights to the common people have proven to be lies, worth less than even the papierducat that the capitalists pay their workers in! His promises of increased wages have been proven false, the soothing lie of increased food production a clever ruse at best!

These facts, the proof of betrayal, will be put into print and spread far-and-wide across the country: It will lead to a complete break between the proletariat and the bourgeoisie, and a further strengthening of the Communist cause when the regressive Capitalists and Imperialists inevitably ignore the results of Vote we are holding against them.

DC: 25, higher rolls grants better results.
The chance for the vote to succeed increases by 3 per-cent. The 83. Infanterie-Battalion "Klaus Gauger" is formed in the case of a revolution against the regressive bourgeoisie.

- [ ] Intimidate the Zentrum
The zentrum, the centrists, are perhaps the most despicable of all political streams that oppose the righteous Communist and Socialist cause. Their placid nature has lent itself brilliantly to form a cadre of workers that lack the revolutionary consciousness that would otherwise allow them to rise up against the slave masters that crack the whip: It is the Zentrum that will need to be destroyed first of all to free the workers that they hold sway over.

An extended propaganda campaign, coupled with around-the-clock speeches and a discrete campaign of terror against legitimate targets of the people will ensure that their hold over the working class will be broken forever, never again to return. Those who can be educated to the nature of the conflict we face will, of course, be accepted within the ranks of the Party! Let no-one say that the Party is not merciful to those who see the light!

DC: 30, higher rolls grants better results.
The chance for the vote to succeed increases by 3 per-cent. The 92. Infanterie-Regiment "22nd of March" is formed in the case of a revolution against the regressive bourgeoisie.

- [ ] Stockpile ammunition and rifles
There is no way around it, the current situation of the worker's army against the Imperialists and the Capitalists is not going well. Though the Party is politically active and is making some gains within the political sphere, in the case of revolution there are depressingly few weapons to go around due to the large size of the Party: It would not be wrong to state that the lack of armaments will be an enormous issue if a fight where to break out between us and the state.

There needs to be a larger amount of smuggled weapons from Ostmark, and hidden production needs to be ramped up. Ammunition can be sourced from old Imperial caches whenever they are found, but production of it needs to be started as soon as possible - The Party and the Revolution will depend on it.

DC: 50, higher rolls grants better results.
Every turn, 4,000 rifles and 20 light artillery pieces will be added to the Revolutionary stockpile.
In the case of a revolution:
45% chance that the 1. Infanterie-Division "Wilfred Kahmann" will be formed.
45% chance that the 1. Garde-Division "Wilfred Kahmann" will be formed.
10% chance that the 1. Garde-Division (mot.) "Wilfred Kahmann" will be formed.

Military Investments

Take a maximum of three options. Untaken options, unless marked as time-sensitive, will carry over to the next turn.

[ ] The Universal Tank concept

During the Second Europan War, the East Europan Imperial Alliance drowned the Federation in a storm of steel, with tens of thousands of tanks storming the enemy lines in support of the infantry. That age is over. The Germanian industry cannot produce large numbers of diverse tank models all serving a distinct purpose - the age of Light, Medium and Heavy Tanks together with tank destroyers and self-propelled artillery working together in concert is behind us.

A single design is needed instead, to form the backbone of the Armoured Divisions - and Tank Commander Leo Hürghzin, currently in service to the Army Development Board, has come forwards with a design that he argues will fit that role exactly. The A-44, when the design is finished, will feature the new M44 90mm L/55 tank gun as the main armament with three additional machine guns, possess a top speed comparable to a medium tank at 40 kilometres per hour (24,8 mph) and only require four crew members. With thick and heavily sloped armour and the usage of improved metallurgy, the weight can be kept down to 34 tonnes, while offering excellent protection from enemy fire: An excellent combination of maneuverability, economics and ergonomics.

However, some funds need to be released for the various prototypes to be created, and this will draw resources away from Assault Tank production - however, given that the Kingdom is not expected to enter a war relatively soon, this will hopefully be a non-issue.

DC: N/A
The A-44 will enter service, replacing the older Imperial Assault Tank. Due to the need to retool factories and slow initial production, it will take two turns before mass production can begin. This will slightly lower unemployment due to an increased amount of workers being needed to produce the tanks.

[ ] Creating a mobile army
The Kaiserliche Reichswehr's trademark tactic and strategy is to be mobile on the battlefield. After the stalemate of the trenches in the First Europan War, the East Europan Imperial Alliance was all too eager to embrace the first tank models developed by Germanian engineers for the infantry to ride atop before dismounting, and it is no surprise that the tip of the Empire's spear chose to focus on the most mobile tank developed, even if it lacked armor and firepower compared to later models. But with the restrictions of the treaty and most of our industry largely in the hands of the Federation, Colonel Alexis Remister has insisted that, in order to improve the survivability and mobility of the troops, total mechanisation of the infantry will be a necessity.

With the current state of the industry, this will be a tall order. However, the benefits it gives the Reichswehr will more than make up for it, especially as the updated SPz-1 that the Colonel insists on being produced to mechanize the infantry is armoured enough and armed well enough to be able to support the infantry during their exit from the vehicle: With 30mm of frontal and 15mm of side armour, the 'small infantry tank' can withstand most small-calibre Lance attacks, while the 20mm autocannon can provide more than adequate firepower.

DC: N/A
The SPz-1 (Schützenpanzer 1) enters service, replacing all older Imperial APCs. Due to the need to retool factories and slow initial production, it will take one turn before mass production can begin. This will slightly lower unemployment due to the large amount of workers needed to produce the Schützenpanzer.

[ ] The need for new tactics
War of maneuver isn't just Germania's signature tactic, it can arguably be called our only tactic. Even before the Declaration of the Imperial Alliance, everyone in Europa knew that the Germanian army was the most mobile on the battlefield, with almost every soldier knowing how to steer and guide his horse - at the time, the sole way of rapid movement during a campaign. However, the days of a war of maneuver is behind us: As can be seen from the various battles with the Atlantic Federation, reinforcements can be rapidly shifted from one end of the frontline to the other, nullifying breakthroughs with disturbing ease as reinforcements from a sector not breached by the offensive rush to the aid of their comrades.

Several of the more successful commanders from the Second Europan War have shared with our general staff a new theoretical doctrine, one they say was partially inspired by the Federation's own defensive battles and seemingly infinite capability to reinforce threatened sectors of the front. The key is to strike not on a small front, where a breakthrough seems the most likely, but to wage an offensive stretching many dozens of kilometres, preventing local counterattacks and relief operations: In conjunction with the fledgeling air arm providing up-to-date reconnaissance and perhaps dropping bombs on concentrations of enemy forces to cause chaos, an opponent will be overwhelmed and forced to retreat - upon which the Kaiserliche Reichswehr will deal a "simultaneous blow throughout the entire depth of the enemy's operational defense, where the Reichswehr will seek to destroy the enemy's operational reserves and its operational depth and occupy as much of his strategic depth as possible".

They call this new strategy "Deep Battle".

DC: 40, higher rolls grant better rewards.
There will be a +5 bonus to battle rolls due to updated tactics and strategy, and General Bernhard Jolfre Ilgard von Schwerin joins the Army Command Pool. In addition, multiple additions will be made to the glossary

[ ] Look to the blue skies
During the last year of the Second Europan War, the air over the battlefield became more than just the domains of the birds and clouds - we witnessed the first aeroplanes take to the skies, the first jousts between the knights in the sky, the creation of a dedicated Air Corps of the Imperial Army, and the rise of Ace Pilots: From Gertrud Wilkema to Vallia Adelheid, from Ottilie Kittel to Jophias von Helck-Parzeval, the great Germanian heroes of the Imperial Army's Air Corps that have returned to their homes, bringing with them a wealth of knowledge and ideas about the future of aerial warfare.

It is now, after many years of development, that Pähl Flugzeugfabrik has proudly revealed their first aeroplane for military use. Test flights by both herr Jophias von Helck-Parzeval and frau Ottilie Kittel have certified that the plane, named the Pf. 51 (as the fiftieth design, and the first approved by the two Aces), is a capable war machine: A low-winged monoplane, it is a first with retractable landing gear, all-metal monocoque design and an enclosed cockpit, bearing some resemblance of the A.III monoplane that was the preferred plane of the Second Europan War. Armament consists of two 7.62mm machineguns, and a single 20mm cannon - all that remains is for the Army to release the funds needed to procure the plane!

DC: N/A
The Pf. 51, a low-winged monoplane with great speed and armament advantages over any currently known opposition, has seen military interest. Backed by two Aces of the Second Europan War, it would be a wise investment, and the start of an aerial wing of the Reichswehr. Jophias "Eagle of Dolstock" von Helck-Parzeval and Ottilie "Lily" Kittel become persons of interest, and four new additions will be added to the glossary.

The Imperial Diet was silent, or as silent as it could be on the 22nd of March when the Communists were out in force and when riots would spread like a plague over the country. In his office on the second floor, Peter Ernst Ahnsicht stared at the proceedings with disbelief, the small television perched on top of a small table in the corner of the room showing scenes of anarchy and chaos: Massive amounts of violence and protests against the government, blatant assaults on rightists and center politicians, and proto-insurgents chucking Koltov cocktails on the officers which were just doing their duty, it was truly beyond the pale! With a twitching right eye Peter switched from channel to channel, but every single one displayed the same occurrences, of degeneracy and chaos, of violence and communist agitation in the streets: How could the former rising star of the Kaiserliche Reichswehr have failed to this extent in the management of the nation and her people?

The telephone rang, and Peter picked up after taking a sip of water. The call had better be important, he was close to breaking...something, if it turned out to be Throma begging for support or smugly beginning to rant, the phone would not survive the night. "Peter Ahnsicht, speaking."

"Peter, Otto Remister here. You are seeing what I am seeing, correct?"

Peter snorted, his mood improving slightly, keeping one eye on the now-muted television. "If you mean the total collapse of order and complete anarchy, yes. The commies are rioting, but Pyotr is already on it. A simple show of force, and those rats will crawl back into their burrows." Possibly lethal force, but what was one Communist more or less? Not like he cared.

"'Bloody Schöffner', huh? When and how did you manage to get permission for his deployment, old friend?"

"I did not, and the Chancellor does not know. The perks of being effectively the shadow minister of the Reichswehr - Hencke is in my pocket, and with his signature I can do anything I want...well, within reason. What is Haessler doing, Otto?"

"Doing something useful for once. The eighty-second motorized Infanterie-Battalion got released for riot suppression in the capital, other hotspots are going to be the problem of a combined Germanische Volksfront and Reichswehr cavalry unit. The KPG already disavowed the rioting, but we all know that they have their fingers crossed behind their backs. Khöhle, however, may be out of a job soon."

"As is bloody obvious. This will go away within a couple of days, but the rest of the Army will move in should the situation not be contained by then. Even if Thorma drags his feet, we need to show strength in these times."

"Good. I will tell the GNVP and the Volksfront to keep alert and expect unofficial army support. Have a good day, Peter."

"You too, Otto. Say hello to the children for me, alright?"

"Of course!"

Putting the telephone back with a soft click, Peter looked at the paperwork - and the ongoing riots on the screen - and grimaced. His work was never done, it seemed.

The industries, agriculture and infrastructure
Take a maximum of three options. Untaken options, unless marked as time-sensitive, will carry over to the next turn.

[ ] Development of better infrastructure

At present, the Germanian road system is woefully underdeveloped and underfunded. The limited fighting at the end of the Second Europan War, the chaos of the end of the East Europan Imperial Alliance, the perfidious Valois taking our most productive lands and the state of the economy have all contributed to a lack of funds and political will to keep the various roads and railway tracks in proper shape, making communications and transport difficult and slow: While the various roads which once led to the western ends of Germania have been kept somewhat intact out of a faint hope that the Valois would return the territories, the eastern infrastructure has seen better days.

At present it is in the best of Germania to rebuild the eastern infrastructure and modernize the remainder, to better connect the nation together and to increase the speed of disaster relief and transport of goods and people - in the process, get some people to work.

DC: 30.
Infastructure is upgraded in Germania, and the transport of supplies, soldiers and resources is made easier and generally simplified. The KVP and ZP will become more loyal to the government.

[ ] State-controlled institutions

The heartlands that had once made Germania a kingdom of both industry and agriculture, together with many of her resources, have been taken by the Valois Republic in the aftermath of the Second Europan War, and the civil disorder and a collapsing economy has largely wrecked the industrial and agricultural sectors: The situation is grim, as farmers work with ever shrinking profits and crop output, while factories and foundries close their doors, never to be opened again due to a lack of demand for certain goods. This needs to change before the last vestiges of the Germanian industrial and agricultural heritage vanish into the aether, and a recovery to pre-War levels becomes but a pipedream.

State-controlled institutions for agriculture and industry need to be established, and failing farms and factories brought under the umbrella of these new institutions, where they can be modernized and put to use for the collective good of Germania. Some may decry this as too much power in the hands of the government, as against the free-market system, but needs must.

DC: 40, and better rolls get better results.
Ailing agriculture and industrial sectors are brought under government control, modernized, and directed to better pursuits with more funding and guidance from experts. The GNVP will become more loyal to the government, while the KPG and the GVP will become less loyal to the government.

[ ] The naval legacy

To the south-east lays the Baikal Sea, where once the great Imperial fleets laid at rest, and where in majestic dockyards the newest and finest ships of the Imperial Navy were built and launched. Now, however, the docks lay abandoned and the workers have all but disappeared, with the legacy of the Imperial fleet one of failure and defeat on the high seas, and with the Valois trachery destroying any hope of shielding the coasts against any marine landings.

It is with the restoration of the Falzstadt dockyards that this legacy of inadequacy and defeat will be shed, where Germania will once more begin the construction of a grand merchant marine, and it will be in Falzstadt where the first steps will be laid for a new tomorrow for the Kaiserliche Reichsmarine, and the return of national pride! It will be expensive, and almost prohibitively so, it will be hard, and it will take time: But after the resotarion of Falzstadt, and a return of both commerce and shipbuilding, none will be able to deny the resulting increase in both income and jobs.

DC: 35, and higher rolls get better results.
The south-eastern port of Falzstadt will be restored to it's former glory. As a result, with a restoration of jobs and some national pride, general stability will go up. The GNVP and ZP will become more loyal to the government.

[ ] Opening up the Maikal mines

Located near the Baikal Sea, the Maikal mountains form a natural border between the Duchy of Dacia and the Kingdom of Germania, which can be crossed in select places due to the creation of large valleys and relatively flat ground - however, at present, the border is not a large concern. What is a concern however is the wealth and resources that can be found within the Maikal mountain range, ranging from iron ore to wolfram, and perhaps including even Ragnite deposits that have laid undiscovered until now: Though likely to be only average compared to the lost western mines, and a far cry from the resource output of the past, it will be a vast improvement over current mining sites.

The fact that this will put more people to work, stimulating the economy, and undermines KPG influence with the correct treatment of the workers and miners, is only the cherry on top.

DC: 35, and higher rolls get better results.
The southern Maikal mines are opened, and will become active to extract resources needed for the civilian and military sectors. The GNVP will appreciate the move. The KPG, should it launch a revolution, will start with four less Infantry Regiments and less resources.

T O P S E C R E T
F O R E Y E S O N L Y
From the People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs to all whom it may concern...

People's Commissar of State Security Phrokiyov, after he had finished reading the preamble of the report, sighed and closed the folder that he had been given. He knew enough already, from the aggressiveness of the Communists over in Germania to the terror and chaos they had begun to sow amongst both the enemies of the Revolution and, regrettably, amongst the workers and peasants themselves: That fool Khöhle was busy dismantling every single piece of goodwill and progress that had been built in the rest of the world with his posturing, street fighting and riots - hadn't he gotten the memo that the Communist party would work, at least in the beginning, within the capitalist system to ensure that the people would not take up arms against them in a revolution?

Looking up at the portrait of the General Secretary, Khöhle, himself, and the Father of the revolution sitting behind a table and smiling. Phrokiyov shook his head in bitter disappointment. Khöhle was an emotionally unstable loose cannon, but the reaction against the proto-Revolutionary groups that had attacked the capitalists and imperialists in Germania was, as always, excessive, violent, counter-revolutionary and treasonous against the proletariat. And, apparently, not gone unanswered: From the far east, where the remnants of the decadent and revisionist Empire were rotting away, came scattered praises, while Gallia had voiced their own tentative support for the suppression - possibly because of the short civil war that had ravaged the nation after the end of the Second Europan War.

Still, as the People's Commissar, he had a job to do. Old friendships could not stand in the way of the ultimate goal of the liberation of the proletariat, and the General Secretary was in agreement: Khöhle had to go, his actions and various theses on the manifesto of their mentor making sure that nobody would complain. Grabbing a sheet of paper, Phrokiyov began to write.

Ivan Khöhle screamed in anger in the empty building, throwing the letter to the ground. How dare they! How dare they expel him from the party! The pair of vultures had planned it all out, of course they had: When Leovich, the Father of the Revolution, died, it had been a matter of time until the triumviate that had been established would break down - and now it seemed that he was on the outside, completely abandoned and alone. With red-hot tears in his eyes the man kicked the wooden desk, the red star, the hammer and the sickle engraved upon the front mocking him with it's very presence. With an explosive sigh Ivan sat down on one of the empty seats, glancing around. Once, the building had been filled with comrades and friends, with allies and good people, but now it laid abandoned - just like him - with most of the equipment removed and driven to the new headquarters of the KPG, wherever it was.

Looking up at the sound of the clatter of weapons and boots nearby and knocking on the door, Ivan swallowed his anger and fled. The Revolution would come to Germania, it would... It would not end like this. Never would it end like this, come hell or high water!

Regional diplomacy
Take a maximum of three options. Untaken options, unless marked as time-sensitive, will carry over to the next turn.

[ ] Tea in Theodorichstadt

Isolated in the east by Ostmark and in the west by the borders of Fhirald and Gallia, with the northern end of the nation ending in the Crystal Sea, the Baltland State has few options for diplomacy, the sale of goods, and the import and export of resources. To the south, however, lays a friendly state that is all too willing to lend a hand to the northern brothers of the former Empire - the resplendent Kingdom of Germania. Even if the last part of the statement is false, at present Germania is the sole option for Baltland to engage in diplomacy. Though not necessarily rich in resources or in any way particulary good with industry, Baltland does produce great masses of high-quality chemicals and is a net exporter of silver, chromium and nickel: Important resources for use in the war industries.

A charm offensive with head of state Hugho Randal can prove to be vital to gain access to these vast amounts of resources.

Minimal DC for success: 50
More resources, in particular those used for stainless steel and in the production of armoured vehicles, will be imported from Baltland should the charm offensive succeed in woo'ing Randal. This will massively increase the quality and quantity of the armour that can be produced.

[ ] Across the Maikal mountains

In the south lays Dacia, the former breadbasket of the East Europan Imperial Alliance, the nation where massive amounts of wheat and grain are produced due to the fertile black soil that covers the land. With a massive oversupply of agricultural goods and unable to export to the Atlantic Federation due to certain trade barriers totally unrelated to news of uncompetitive Valois farmers, the Dacians are willing to sell their produce en-masse on the market for extremely low prices: It would be a folly to not seize the chance to provide much needed starvation relief while it is still there.

In the process of procuring the Dacian produce, more subjects can also be put on the table. Economic cooperation (though currently not possible with the political situation being as it is), military cooperation (second verse same as the first) and additional trade agreements can all be shifted forwards.

Minimal DC for success: 35
The Vote of No Confidence per-centage lowers by 5, and more food is put on the table for the average Germanian lower and middle class! Opens the Dacian diplomacy tree once the imminent political issues are dealt with.

[-] Rapprochement with the Imperial rump state...?
Locked due to political infighting.

[-] Rapprochement with Ostmark...?
Locked due to political infighting.

My apologies for the long wait! I was too busy IRL to complete this turn, but now, here we are! Please vote in plan format, and after the vote is opened on 02:00 CET (UTC +01)! Thanks in advance!

A map is also coming!

Ok good a Moratorium, i need some time to think on this. Lots of options.

Edit: I think getting the GNVP more on our side would be the best move, the only way we can get the communists on our side is to go full bore communist and nothing else which would alienate every non communist party (which seems to be most of them) and seems to be go straight to civil war, i do not think it has come to that quite yet.

but the situation was worsening to a worsening degree
Worsening to a worsening degree? Do you perhaps means worsening to a worrying degree?

Also overall I think we shouldn't support either the left or right in politics but keep the current chancellor in power so we should work to shore up his powerbase and work on getting this country out of the mess it's in. I'm also against supporting the Commies here since then we'd become a communist's nation and well we voted against that last turn so it's not something I want to do.

Edit: Here be a plan.
[] Everything's on fire as expected
Against the Vote
-[ ] On the defensive
-- [ ] Gather support for Chancellor Kurt Haessler
-- [ ] Replacing semi-independent voters
Military Investment
-[ ] The Universal Tank concept
-[ ] Creating a mobile army
-[ ] Look to the blue skies
The industries, agriculture and infrastructure
-[ ] Development of better infrastructure
-[ ] The naval legacy
-[ ] Opening up the Maikal mines
Regional diplomacy
-[ ] Tea in Theodorichstadt
-[ ] Across the Maikal mountains

Alright so here my plan for this, and the idea is simple to shore up support with our friendly party's as much as possible while trying to weaken the communist's and improve the nation and peoples livelihoods and in the case that fails try and weaken the communist's numbers in the case of a civil war. For diplomacy matters I went with the only two options available to us at the moment. And the reason I didn't go with doctrine in the military is twofold the first reason is it's not time sensitive so something we don't need to rush and I wanted to add the new gear into our army before we do a new doctrine. I also chose the universal tank and mobile army options to get people working again as well.

Fixed, thanks for the heads up! My apologies for missing it, I went over the thing several times, so not sure what happened there. :C

Well, if you go the GNVP route and you want to be absolutely 100% sure the vote succeeds, planning for the Putsch should be a priority. Because the Communists do not like monarchists/right-wing nationalists/imperialists/capitalists/spiritualists/what have you, and Revolution is still on the table.

I meant more on our side than the route, I am unsure if i want to go the absolute monarchist route, there are options that make them like us more, a party divided is less of a threat after all.
