[X] License with Christie-Ford. Pros: Tech transfer, and virgin production lines. Cons: Tech transfer, and Americans.

This is relevant tech for the next 30+ years. That's probably the best long term benny.

I quite like this deal personally.

Ultimately even if we have to pay a nominal fee we should still more then make up for it in the production licensing. Also this whole situation is a good example of cooperation and trade, it's a good deal. A new gyro recipe in exchange for better legs. We get a new system we can use to make our stuff better, Christie Ford gets a system they can use on they're stuff. We may compete but it seems like we have different enough niches to not step on each others toes. And ultimately FCM seems ... troubled, and Renault is really going to fuck us if we work with them, like they'll probably try to outright steal our stuff, and poach our staff.

[X] License with FCM. Pros: lots of money, perfect for boosting your workshop with. Cons: FCM.

look, A massive pile of cash i nice and it would mean we don't have to work with the fucking Yanks

Those hips don't lie.

Unoriginal joke is unoriginal.

Since we seem to be in agreement on who to License our design to, let's have some fun.

Which tier do you think our doom chicken cavalry mech would belong to in this universe version of warthunder, what memes would it inspire and how cursed the thumbnail art be on PhlyDaly video on it?

Not sure which tier exactly, but we'd likely be a bit higher than other mechs from this time period for gameplay purposes due to how ludicrous our armor scheme is.

As for cursed thumbnails, the first thing that come to mind is shrinking the legs and enlarging the body to make the nose absolutely massive.

Considering the time period, our first retrofit for the doom chicken will get kicked back to us with a free sample of the Browning M2, with a note that says: put this, *everywhere*

I picture it as either early tier 4 or late tier 3, depending on where the WWII mecha are considered to start. It's meme will be mecha pilots trying to line up a shot on uneven ground and tumbling around from the recoil, with a side of two 'front towards enemy' mecha firing machine guns at one another to no effect.

The dream: enemy crew knocked out from 207 meters away.
The reality: your crew knocked out by rolling down the 3 degree incline you didn't account for.

I just realized that in this universe tanks would be treated like we treat mechs. I can even see reasoning on impracticality like "the track links are too vulnerable and the body is too exposed to mines" like how in our universe we have the whole "the legs are too vulnerable and the high body is too easy to tip".

in non-argument stuff, I think we're going to have to do a revamp of our good ol' Fourmi at some point, given the talk about how it's getting panned in exercises. We might need to find a way to soup up the engine and give it a better gun.

Add more rockets /s

More seriously, we could pretty easily swap the 12X for the 12Y, do a bit more work on the hellish transmission, and upgrade to the 13.2mm(and add another one).

Easy, of course, being relative when in comes to that monstrosity of an engine/transmission.

Well I can't exactly tell you the exact position because that includes giving you OOC information on other nations mechs. But I would put it around 3.0.

meanwhile, QM laughs in distance...

..... I know you're not being serious but something came to mind when I was thinking about real life and that was the Fallschirmjäger which quickly spun into Para Mecha and how terrifying that would be. Might not be til after WW2 but still.

No, that's the Cold War and the American project Terminal Impact Troop Assault Navigation and Fast Attack Light Load systems, which normally work together.

I'm reading this as " if we give them the exemption, we unlock the ability to buy the license." Not that we would choose not to get access to it, but we'd still have to pay.

You would not have to pay. It's a tech for tech trade.
How long before someone makes a drawing of one trying to incubate a bunker?

Blue Peacock sends its regards.

Not until FN Herstal makes up their mind on production in Europe it's not.

Plus or minus .3 BR for which tranche of unit it is, yeah. Maybe up to 3.6 if the Israelis ever need to muck with it.

The question is not on the topic, but what is the largest mech in height or length in the world at the time of these events in the quest? I just wonder what the military looks at when they are given an unlimited credit line and say "I want this".

No idea on warthunder, but by experience, those with good/decent armor tend to be good noob-friendly platforms.

If it isn't a 'for the basics' mech, then it will be an armored beast for intermediate players who know how to abuse good armor for shenanigans.

Their lack of heavy weapons and low speed meant they were incredibly vulnerable to anti-mecha infantry and wheeled field guns, and even the Mlr.1927 pattern Fourmi with a Riebel and an infantry mortar on the commander's cupola couldn't fix this issue.
In fairness it was designed to be a scout mech. I think no possible version of that design wasn't hellaciously vulnerable to anti-mech infantry.

Still should provide us a reasonable amount of money from the full dedicated production line and C-F's desperation to put something into production, and the tech will let us keep an edge over our domestic competitors in any future design contest, giving us more successful designs, more fame, and of course more money.
