I doubt it will matter mechanically whether we say a prayer or not, but there is always the off chance that we could offend a higher power by invoking a foreign deity, so I would rather err on the side of not being smited.

I hope the dead dude wasn't Ripper's Human companion. Don't want the Seakitty to be sad.

We should keep our eyes peeled as we explore for further signs of fighting and corpses. I'm curious about whether this was a battle or the murder of a single man.

It's been weeks, if none of his people have come by to see to him by now I doubt there are any left. Better to give what peace we can.

Oh BTW if you guys have more questions on the state of the body or the stone do not hesitate to ask, if Roland can see the asnwer I will just answer OOC if he cannot but the doctor might know I will have him ask.

Bronze armor.
Weird thing that, maybe it's just that there isn't much iron on the island?
Cause I don't think it's a matter of not knowing how to work iron yet, otherwise it would be strange for the guy to wear something like a breastplate?

A coat pf plates in this case means something like this but in bronze. This is actually easier to make than chainmail since you do not need to make wire and then bend it into chain. You literally make small plates of whatever metal you want and then bind them to an under-layer not each other. It is less protective for its weight than chain would be.

So, we have our first IC-hint that our surroundings here may be at a lower tech-level than we are used too.

On the other hand, this is just one small island, might well not be representative.

I doubt the metalwork originated on this island.

It wouldn't be a big surprise if the world in which we've found ourselves is firmly in a bronze age. Would make our steel weaponry a bit more novel than I was expecting, too.

A small mechanical note since we did get to the bronze armor. Pathfinder as a system considers bronze to be broadly inferior to steel. That is not really true, not until you hit modern steels at least. Bronze is just as hard and holds a comparable edge to the steel you brought with you. The reason the bronze age gave way to the Iron age is not because iron is inherently superior, in fact it is worse in some ways, but because iron is common. Iron makes up about 5% of the Earth's crust which is to say 50.000 parts per million. Tin which you need to make bronze makes up about 2 parts per million. Copper is more common not anywhere near as common as iron.

On that note if you want to loot the armor you can, it is probably decently valuable and Roland would recognize it as such.
