The Pistachion Plot (A Disney Villains Victorious CK2-Style Secret Society Quest)

Woof, figuring out a plan for this is going to be tough.

I know I want Allura to go to san fransokyo, partially because she might be able to butterfly away yokai entirely if she does well.

Hmmm.... For hunk... OOOO, I have a cool idea, Have him work at a game manufacturing place, that makes stuff like pool tables and shit, hopefully he can find one that transitions into building arcade cabinets and tip us off to what's going on there with wreck it ralph eventually. Somewhere like Midway games, they were making entertainment stuff in the 1950s

Katie is kind of obvious

We could have Keith try and join a spy organization like The Global Justice Network from kim possible.
disney.fandom.com

Global Justice

The Global Justice Network, often simply called "GJ", is a top secret worldwide espionage and peacekeeping organization. It is featured in the show Kim Possible. Its director is Betty Director, more commonly known as Dr. Director. The organization deals with any threats to the world which fall...

And we can have lance go to the kansas university for financing

While I would like to keep her close to home, the problem with this is that San Fransokyo is a moon shot tied to a single action, and if we try and fail we lock ourselves out of Mad Science school to boot.

Should we try to infiltrate an intelligence organization that's actually competent? That sounds dicey, given what we ourselves are trying to commit mass fraud, mass identity theft, and an extensive network of government corruption, in order to further our plot to undermine american democracy.

Edit: on the other hand, I suppose that's exactly why we'd want him inflitrated: counterspying to keep our plot under wraps. The question then becomes, is he skilled enough?

And we can have lance go to the kansas university for financing
What is the actual incentive for us to do this? Other than doing literally anything other than stealing from the bank, I mean. We built him as a specialist Intrigue Hero with a boost to lockpicking, why would we send him to Stewardship school?

for allura, I have omake points, and shes incredibly smart. I doubt its as much of a long shot as you anticipate.

Most spy agencies in disney are trash at recognizing infiltrators until its far too late. Global justice is not that competent at all btw, they somehow managed to convince themselves that ron was the important one and they are awful at dealing with unconventional threats. Killigan absolutely baffled them with his explosive golfball nonsense

.... Lance is our stewardship unit, keith is the stealthy boy

I know she's smart, but that doesn't really factor in. It's a single roll, and bonus or not every roll is a gamble, as last turn showed us.

Hmm, might be viable. How would we go about it, though? Infiltrating a public office is one thing, but how do we even find a secret organization, let alone apply for a job in one?

Aaah, makes more sense. I'd like Lance to actually have a bigger role, but I suppose having him plot and go to college could unlock more options for him.

For allura, If she fails its likely she'll stick around in the city and declare revenge on the school or something. You know what would be funny? Hero Yokai. I see this as a win win scenario, either she gets in or she gets to be a villain in a city with a lot of people who follow the old school villain hero dynamic, so shes unlikely to get killed by an overzealous hero.

And for getting keith enlisted, theres a couple options. Pretty sure the Global Justice has ways to seek out recruits, since they seem to be a high resource organization, and if that doesnt work there are others. He could put out feelers to join the FBI and either get recruited, or rejected and scooped up by a more secretive organization, for example.

In the show global justice manages to have spy tubes literally everywhere somehow, like O.W.C.A but slightly less jokey

I... Don't really see that as a win-win. I'd prefer for Allura to have a formal education, I don't want her entire grounding on the fundamentals of Mad Science to be a book on Frankenstein and experiments ran out of her basement. I'd feel differently if the Mad Science bar was more filled, but as it is I'm feeling conservative.

Run it by QM, probably. I think he'd need to make more of a name for himself before getting scouted? And I have a vague idea born of watching TV shows that organizations like the FBI require you to have a college diploma to even apply for a job.

Edit: the more I think about it, the less I like the idea of having him try to join a spy organization, at least right now. There'd be background checks, and our cover is not that good yet. I'd like to improve our fake identity before trying to apply to intelligence agencies.

Lance is not receptive to a leadership role. I plan to put Lance on a physical brute path later, but I want Hunk to test if any result is truly possible there. Math is helpful when dieting.

Keith is my backup leader, and Law student choice to get out of trouble.

Hunk is a step in a new direction with the physical fitness route. Hunk may stumble on something there that we missed. Which makes him entering the army a good thing if the physical route has results. I wanna try anyways.

Allura has a need for lab safety.

I whracked my brain for HOURS on what to put for lance, so I gave up and decided to make him a scummy buissness man. It's a job that could net us access to large swathes of data and(if he's scummy enough) gives us experience in manipulating data for when we get into politics.

Keith on Robbing the bank gives it a CoS of 90% and 36% crit, plus whatever his personal and planning actions net

The Price is Right stuff will hopefully net us some stewardship or a budgeting/bargain trait

[x] Plan: Safe Sane Science

The one thing I don't like is Derek will not experience human culture as an action focus. Derek needs to get that complete if he wants the DC on the action to observe the government lowered. I can wait for next turn though, and it isn't a deal breaker. Not like robbing a bank is for me. We can do more through investing than robbing a bank.

[X]Plan: Safe Sane Science

So far it's not got anything I disagree with and the price of failure for a few of the actions don't seem bad from my assumptions.

My plan is set up to put several of our kids in key positions to interact with potential future kings or important players. Allura will meet yokai and other big hero 6 characters, Hunk will potentially discover the secret of the digital world when midway transitions to arcades, and Keith could join any number of agencies that would give him a lot of intel on important people.

Midway games would definitely be hiring, since they just opened last year, and if ballway has replaced them its likely they have a similar early history

Midway was a Pinball company in Chicago when it started. Not sure how Chicago Pinball will help us take over Kansas. Hunk's extremely useful for us. I don't want him permanantly stationed in another state. And yes, there's the whole "Going to SFIT" in my plan for Allura, but that's not permanent. that's just college. To have Midway bear fruit we'd need to keep Hunk there for 2 whole decades.

EDIT: According to Nystical if Midway's manufacturing plant isn't local, Hunk won't be available to do operations. Chicago is not local to Kansas.

I wouldn't worry about IRL companies too much. If anything, you'll be interracting with a name-swapped equivalent anyway.

[X] Plan robbery's got me slobbery

I want to do crimes. It's an easy action in our best stat, there's no real reason not to do it.

Edit: 2nd best. But still, the point remains

That's a lie. Derek's Martial is 27. Derek's Intrigue is 34.

The Martial action rob a bank (loud) has a DC of 55 (reduced).

The Intrigue action rob a bank (silent) has a DC of 75 (reduced).

"Plan robbery's got me slobbery" took the "easy" action in the second best "stat" for Derek.

While that is technically true, the math checks out that Going Loud is the best roll for Derek. We need a roll of 28 to pass the DC for going loud, and 41 to pass the Silent version. That's not counting bonuses, so I guess it becomes 23 and 36, respectively, after the +5 to all actions applies.

Actually, adding Keith's stats since the plan has him as a Hero Unit for the robbery, the minimum roll to pass ends up being 5 and 15, respectively. Unless he gets loyalty bonuses the same way as Doofquest, in which case failure is literally impossible outside of a Nat 1 for Going Loud, and on a roll lower than 11 on Silent... Assuming his trait for lockpicking doesn't kick in.
