Yeah, this guy was highly regimented and overdisciplined. Trixie needs her own Ash, someone that can think on the fly like she can, as well as give her incentive to actually try for them. Pikachu was never just a pokemon to Ash, he was Ash's partner, his second in command.

Edit: Also I kind of want to see the kind of team dynamics that would emerge in a team that Trixie could fit into.

It would be neat to be an alolan raichu, lets go to alola to evolve, I want a flying raichu!

I'm hoping we can meet a buddy pokemon to travel with. Finding a trainer would be cool too, but Trixie isn't going to go for that willingly anytime soon.

I'm personally hoping we can continue to do shenaniganry without the yoke of a trainer holding us down. Unfortunately that makes interacting with humans and society a bit more difficult, but being owned by a trainer probably would make those easier interactions less interesting anyways.

The only thing more terrifying than one Trixie to trainers is multiple Trixies. Let us make our forest a thing of dread.

It's true that Trixie is small fry that uses the environment to hit above her weight class, but that's exactly why she should travel and broaden her horizons and spread her shenanigans across the land.
 
I have to admit, the prospect of Trixie the Mischievous Pikachu tutoring a class of adorable tiny Pichus in guerilla warfare does appeal to me on some level.
