Joffrey 1: The Prince of Eagles.
Jon Arryn frowned as you looked up from the book. "What?" You asked as you set the book down, leaving it open so you could give him your full attention.
"You didn't come to your lesson this morning with Grand Maester Pycelle." Jon stated as he shook his head, the grey haired man rubbed his forehead. "Any particular reason you decided to skip the lesson today?"
You sighed. "Mother wanted me in court." You stated.
"And you are still a shit lier even when you can honey your words like that." Jon stated as he sat down in a chair across from you, before looking at the book cover. "Archmaester Howlands' Diplomacy and the Great Game of Westeros."
That made the old man chuckle. "I see you are taking my lesson to heart."
"You are the one who always says 'Words are wind'" You replied with a small smirk. "Why be mysterious when you can make people believe every word you say? Why fight wars when you can make peace with words and flattery."
Jon sighed, before allowing himself to stand. "Your father believed force was the only way to rule. Why do you think he founded an Army?"
"He seems to forget that he has the charisma of the Father himself… winning friends when they were his enemies. Why do you think he founded a Royal, professional army." You stated.
"Aegon had dragons, and in an age without Dragons… man must take up the sword, and prove our own masters." Lord Arryn replied as he took a deep breath. "Now come now, we have work to do."
"Why do I need to work?" You asked.
"Because sometimes, a boy prince must learn responsibility." Lord Arryn Replied.
Dammit all.
