Look its science*. Pokemon starter towns have like 4 houses and 10 people. Ergo if we are a criminal, that's 10% of the population. And if we have a cage match battle then there are cage match battles, QED. TEAM AURELIA GO! Aurelia

I'll see if I can't get the fight set up tonight. Initiative rolls will determine who goes first and such.

Some of them are relatively tame, but I think naming my Geodude Fred and my Onyx Wilma were my crowning achievements.

My current party rotates through Rod the Luxio, Rosie the Budew, Haramblaze he Monferno, Duke the Kirlia, Regina the Vespiquen (not a Heracross but I love her anyway), Biscuit the Bibarel, and Wes the Eevie. Chirps the Staravia comes in when I need a lift between towns.

    You draw your pokeball and throw it into the nearby field!

    "Hope you brought a toolbox, 'cause I'm gonna break your Machine! Go, TOTODILE!"

    The glasses-wearing blue gator you got from Professor Mangrove jumps out of the pokeball in an explosion of light and crouches down, looking back and forth in the field until it sees you.

    "Game on, Aura! Go, THE MACHINE!"

    He throws his pokeball, and a stubby little owl creature pops out with a pair of Groucho glasses on its face! It hoots with fighting spirit!

    "Why's your Rowlet wearing those goofy glasses?" you ask Florence with barely-restrained laughter.

    "It's fashionable!" he says defensively. "Now shut up and fight!"





    RIVAL FLORENCE WANTS TO BATTLE!

    INITIATIVE

    Totodile: 1D6 + 3
    5 + 3 = 8

    The Machine: 1D6 + 4
    5 + 4 = 9

    FLORENCE & THE MACHINE GO FIRST


    "You're not gonna be laughing for long! The Machine, use Tackle!"


    Tackle: Accuracy Check
    The Machine's Dexterity + Brawl = 2D6
    4, 6 = 2 Successes!

    Tackle: Damage Roll
    The Machine's Strength + 2 - Totodile's Defense = 2D6
    1, 2 = Minimum Damage!


    Florence's doofy Rowlet stumbles on his own talons when he dives down to tackle your Totodile, but he still lands a hit!

    -1 HP

    Your Totodile pushes the Rowlet off her with a shove! It glares at you and delivers a frustrated chitter while the Rowlet rolls away harmlessly.

    "What'd I do?" you ask her

    "You picked a fight with the wrong trainer!" Florence shouts. In the heat of the moment, he may have forgotten he was the one who picked this fight to begin with.

    "Don't you talk to my baby that way!" your mom chides while recording the event with her camera mounted on a tripod.

    "Sorry, Ms. Aura's Mom!"

    "Don't apologize!" his father interjects! "Never surrender!"

    A small crowd was coming together to watch the battle, cell phones raised to record your first fight. Or your parents fight. You aren't sure which is more of a spectacle to these people.

    You tune them out. As much as you wanted to ignore your "rival", its time to show Florence you mean business. Your move.
