Poison, probably, cause drugs.
Quoting my post to ensure people saw it (one of the perils of posting just before an update) andWell, if I don't get to define the rival, good work on that Strragei, i'll define our protag. Sadly, i'm not one for prose, so i'll stick to a profile:
Aurelia was introduced to us by sleeping-in and that says a lot. She's laid-back (some would say lazy, many have), calm and generally chill. She's friendly and optimistic to all she meets, but she's not exactly a go-getter. Sleeping is one of her primary interests, along with fishing and football. However, when she's presented with a competition (or a chance for shenanigans), her personality does a 180, becoming hyper-competitive and hot-blooded in her desire to win. She's outdoorsy, has a love for all the creatures of the Pokemon World, and was kinda wild when she was younger. Lots of people think she's dumb, and it's true she has a certain...Inattentive streak, but she actually has a very good memory, and, when it comes to topics that intrest her, she'll absorb knowledge like a sponge. She has a particular fascination with animation, theme parks, and, most of all, SPACE. She's fascinated by outer space, and, particularly, xenobiology. She loves the idea of all the Pokemon that could be living among the stars, maybe even species like us, who catch Pokemon themselves. She's never happier that when she's laying out, under the stars, staring out at all the worlds to be explored...
Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Totodile has Scratch and Leer. The Machine has Growl and something else equally lame.So can we plan a strategy or do we just let the mons to duke it out? We probably need one since he got the type advantage against us plus flying out of our attack range.

There's no way FLORENCE is getting a win out of you by default. He'll never let you live it down. GO, TOTODILE!
-[X] "Hope you brought a toolbox, cause i'm gonna break your machine!
Got it thanks for clarifying since some version of starters already got their stab attacks. So this is just a traditional starter fight then?Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Totodile has Scratch and Leer. The Machine has Growl and something else equally lame.
This is gonna be the equivalent of two toddlers slapping each other until one falls over. Don't worry too much about strategizing until they can learn worthwhile moves and other tricks.
Yep! Nothing too crazy out the gate.Got it thanks for clarifying since some version of starters already got their stab attacks. So this is just a traditional starter fight then?
The machine should have tackle according to all known laws of aviation.Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Totodile has Scratch and Leer. The Machine has Growl and something else equally lame.
I mean, we can lose a fair fight too.Be glad that The Machine won't have access to Leafage here like he's supposed to have. This is the tutorial fight. We want this to be a fair match, not a losing battle from the start.
Throwing Pokemon is not a League-compliant action. That used to fall under the Air Bud Clause, but after the Voltorb volleyball incident the Sunsola League had to ammend the rulebook.

He never specified pokemon league rules. This is a underground off-the books battle in the seedy town of Vanillatine.Throwing Pokemon is not a League-compliant action. If you want sketchy cage matches in underground colosseums, you won't find them in Vanillatine. Not just because if you try to dig down at all you'll hit water.
