This was an amazing chapter.

I loved how you wrote the trainer's false confidence, outright foolishness, and blind rage, while still making it clear that he was capable of training his pokemon well. He may not have handled failure well, but he wasn't without positive trainer qualities.

And it was amazing how you balanced that with our Pikachu's excessive confidence and skill. Cus she did out maneuver and outplay him at every turn ... but also she played herself. She's responsible for herself taking such serious damage, when she could have gotten out of this without a scratch. And that's just ... I loved it. It was a better balance than I could have imagined, making this experience both gloriously exciting and humbling (though whether our Pikachu takes it that way remains to be seen.

And having there be ecological consequences of us disrupting the existing ecological arrangement is brilliant and I am such a fan. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

-This is an absolutely terrible combination and we're going to suffer for it, but again, I think it'll make for a great story. (And maybe our Pikachu will even recognize the consequences of her actions.)
-Also I'd rather pick an option which sees us suffer for our actions than innocent people suffer. No matter how much I might delight in our Pikachu being an excessive monster to people who deserve a humbling, I don't want to see farmers lose crops or people lose their homes.

I just cant help but remember that Trixie has a scar on her arm and ear and her natural (upset) response to that has drawn... inordinate attention from the oblivious and unhelpful. Anger seems appropriate.

Anger leads into a war mindstate more easily.

And then theres the possibility that dodging Beedrill and Butterfree megaswarms increases acrobatic capabilities further. Plus, knowing that a swarm bomb is being cultivated in response to humans swarming Trixie's home is kinda poetic, kinda terrifying.
