"Beer!" Lori blagersson reeled back from his kinsman, as the wretch began to show his first signs of alcohol withdrawal.
...
Illuvatar have mercy it seemed the entire army that King Thorin had brought with him we're going into alcohol withdrawal.
Thinking quickly he reached into his travel bag to pull out some wine. A nice 5 year bottle Lord Balin had lain down in celebration after the early victories against the damn goblins.
He passed the wineskin into the Khazad's hand helping him to let the ruby liquid poor into his mouth...
Only to be sprayed with the stuff, as the fool wretched as if he'd given him tainted water.

You watched as the light filtered through the gaps that had been built into the hold and let out a breath as you turned away from the sight to look around the massive hall in which your kin had made camp the fires slowly fading out. The Clan mingling with the Greybeards and Khazad many of the young Garazi following around the younger warriors in shock, something that had bothered you until you learned that your cousins rarely allowed those younger than sixty away from the hold or anywhere near dangerous journeys. Something that was strange as it was no good to coddle a dawi you thrived when pushed. Though it had likely been many years since they had endured like their kin back in the Old world had.
Shaking your head you took stock of the food that had been gathered upon the carts and ponies and nodded glad that so much had been found in so little time, though you would much rather have not lost so much especially the Ale. Though before you could think about that tragedy you spotted a group of Elders of the Khazad approaching you many of them looking rested and glad. Something the Throng did not share as many of the clan having nearly started a riot over the last of the supplies much to your cousin's shock. Though how they lived without some good ale you would never know but you would solve that once you got back to the hold, and your family.
Still, you let that fall to the back of your mind with some difficulty as you approched them knowing that you had little time to think of them with all that was going on. Though you could not help but wonder how your girls were growing. Knowing that many months had to have passed. Letting out a sigh you focused on the Elgi glad that she was up and about again finally having thrown off her ailment and no longer a burden, though you could still see her bandaged arm the magic having cannibalized it a little. Still, she could use it though you knew she would only be casting magic if she had to.
Watching as The Group of dawi moved around the command area many of them discussing something about the march having finally gotten a bit of steel in their spines and with it a bit of cheerfulness now that there Thane was going to live. A good thing really as hope was sourly needed with how things were going but you would need to abandon this hold. Something you were loath to do but you were ill-prepared for all the dangers that lay here, but one day your kin would gather and help clear this place out and restore it to the Karaz-Ankor and you are sure many in the clan would march to aid them but that was not this expedition as you had far more pressing issues.
Taking a seat among them you glanced at the tankard of water balefully wondering what you did to deserve no ale before letting it slide. You would have vengeance on the Grobi they were the reason you had to suffer like this and you were going to personally take ten grobi heads for each day they had you go without your beloved ale. "So!, how goes the preparations." You asked sourly and loudly to the group much to the amusement of the elgi. While your kin seemed to be shaken from their conversation. All of them looking at you worriedly no doubt having fallen victim to one of your clan's many rants on your lack of ale.
Though what were you to do the Grobi had slunk away back to their hovels after your Throngs first Grobkull while scavenging having been too successful as they feared facing you again. Something your clan regretted if all talks with them were true as they no longer had a target to vent their rage. Especially after learning that your cousins drank elgi Wine, WINE! Why you could not fathom how they had fallen so far. You were drawn from your rant before it continued further and focused on your kin, though you were sure that it would come back later.
Gloin the youngest of the Elders spoke up his voice lighter than other dawi. "The Colony is ready to leave within the hour and the supplies pact, though we are at the groups limit from the look of things. The Wagons are straining under the load and the ponies will be nothing but meat if we add any more to them. Though some are thinking on solving the issue."
You nodded glad that things had gone so well. "Good, that's good then we can leave soon I think, we have waited long enough and my warriors are already getting restless and we are little use waiting for the grobi to come out of their hiding places to strike when we are prepared." You said gruffly though glancing at the Kvinn and garazi you felt a bit of worry worm it's way into your gut.
Ori nodded his head no longer in his book that he insisted on writing so much in, He turned to the elgi though not before glancing at you in worry. "Your sure that we can not help more with facing the goblins, our strength is far from spent." He asked sounding unsure of himself something that you could not understand as he had done well enough.
You grunted well glancing over towards their armory, or that was what you called that umgak collection of armor and weapons. "Aye, your clan is not used to fighting alongside ours and you will still help if the line shows signs of breaking." You said gruffly and firmly wanting that to be an end to a recurring topic. Though that was not really the reason you thought glancing at their mismatched armory of poorly maintained armor and weapons much of it barely fit for use. Then again it was what they had even if it had not seen care for what looked like years. Nodding to them you left to do the rounds among the longbeards hoping that the journey would remain quiet.

The Path Section 1: 61
Marching along the dark corridors you watched the shadows carefully as they encroached on the caravan well aware that the grobi could appear at any time, though their silence was worrying and only brought you a little comfort as it allowed your kin to heal in peace but also kept your journey speedy but that still meant the grobi were up to something they always were in your opinion. Though as you traversed the halls of the ancient hold you felt your gut slowly knot itself together as if something was coming, though it never did.
Time seemed to pass slowly as the hours merged together in the dark and quiet halls the only sound was that of the Throng marching ahead while your kin talked among one another in hushed whispers their words carrying over the abandoned halls of your ancestors, which seemed endless as you walked them. You talked with many of your kin and friends along the route. Though as you camped within a desecrated hall after desecrated along the planned route you could not help but wonder why things were so quiet each time. You would watch as the fires seemed to always burn out their embers snuffed out by the lightless halls.
Though as the Throng and Caravan moved onwards passing many a great works only for you to then see what had occurred to them many of them decaying from a lack of care while light from above slowly vanished as you pressed forwards your only light coming from the runes of your people. Though as you entered the third month of the march you entered a hall a weight upon your shoulders and an agonizing not within, you smelt rotting flesh and decay which seemed to permeate Through the hall.
Though as you entered the hall you found many a body of the Grobi many of them looking to have been brought low. Glancing over your shoulder you spoke lowly. "Prepare the others's I fear our time of peace is at an end." You said while taking heavy steps as you followed the path of death. You passed many a dead grobi all of them killed by a bolt or ax, though there were many grobi dead, you stopped as you saw a number of your kin lying dead there bodies decomposing within recent months. You took a deep and calming breath as you slowly moved towards them and Kneeled next to one of the nearby ranger's and turned him over and found him bare only his cloak having been draped over his body and nothing else to mark who he was but you knew who he was. You did not know many rangers but you remembered a few who had left to aid your kin.
But looking at the fallen of your clan you felt something snap within you, as you tried to put a name to their faces. When they had departed all those months ago to aid your kin they knew the risks and so had you. Though looking at the grave of your rangers had your mind spinning and your heart beating. Letting out a roar of both rage and agony you looked around the hall for something to feel your ire but nothing came. You do not know how long passed as your kin saw to burying your clan members as ut all passed in a blur their bodies cleaned. Though nothing was recovered as they had been stripped of all that was of worth to grobi.
As you left the hall you Bowed your head and swore that there would be vengeance before this was over. Marching forward away from the hall you felt your gut twist further while a cold rage settled over you as yet even more of your kin had fallen before their time. You left the hall leading the Throng and caravan further into the depths the last of the light from above fading to nothing after a long journey.

The Path Section 2: 14
You lead the way through the darkness of the halls some of your kin at your side. While behind you the runic lanterns lit your way having long since become your only light source unless more was needed for battle. You eyes set forward as you drank from your tankard of water a fire in your belly as you thought of ways to take vengeance against the enemy, though nothing came to you the last week a blur after finding some of your clans dead you felt a foul taste in your mouth at not having hunted the grobi down but your kin needed you and there would be time to settle the grude and you would see it paid in full very soon. That was of course if the grobi ever decided to leave their hidden hovels as they had been silent ever since you had set out from the hall.
Taking a sip of water, you put your tankard away as you saw the hallway finally widening to an end the runic light having stoped shining off the wall though as you got closer you tried to ignore your nerves that had built up so that you could lead the Throng properly. Though reached the end of the hallway, you came to an abrupt halt as you looked at what lay within the hall before you.
The Hall itself large and obviously used for some storage purpose and also a junction while further around much of the stonework looked to be ready to collapse as it was held up by crumbling columns and it's floors filled with rubble over the years while further back you spotted stairs leading to someplace unknown, while runic light slowly crawled over them and allowed you to see the massive grobi army within the hall it's line haphazardly organized many of the grobi looking towards you in gleeful silence. Looking over the group your eyes were drawn to a group of hairy stunted urk's many of them looking at the Throng with a vicious smile upon their face While at their head stood a kind of standard urk holding something within his hands. Though what you could not make out what it was.
The Grobi remained silent but many of them grew more excited as they looked at you while those close to the urk's were shaking in fear while further behind their line you caught glimpses of trolls. You searched their line to see if there was a way around this group but turned your eyes to the Urk leader as he spoke in a language you could not understand while the halls dark and the smell of rotting flesh greeting your nose. Though you could not understand what it was saying it riled the grobi up and then he lifted what was in his hands for you to see. While one of his kin blew a horn that echoed through the deeps.
Though you paid the horn no mind as you stared at what was within his hands rested the head of a dawi elder your kin's beard shaved. The sight of which made you grip your ax tighter though before you could bark out orders the sound of beating drums greeted your ears.
Glancing over your shoulder the sound of drums and screeching started once again while the Shadows at the back of the Throng seemed to shift and slither as grobi appeared from crevices and gaps within the passageway, while further back you could here their feet clattering across the stone loudly. You grabbed your shield and ax as you turned to face the army in front of you and ordered the Throng to.
[] Make a Stand within the passage and try to hold back both forces and hope no reinforcements arrive.
[]Have the Throng chargeback along the Path you came and set up within the hall before.

Well... how do we get out of that tomb? Lets hope for a few decades of peace after getting out of Moria (and getting those enslaved Dwarves back). Our population could use a few decades of peace
We absolutely must take the runic gromril armor and runic gromril weaponed warriors and plug the hallway between us and the big force or we get overwhelmed.
I say the Zanstock should charge back and reap a whirlwind to clear our back while the main force holds the line.
