The other element, I suspect, is skill. Shrouding is a technique one can do if one knows how to do so or discovers how to do so.

A Simple Transaction I Original

Are you accounting for the reduced Arete income from options themselves? You got 2 just for coming to the Temple, and +0.5 later. "Accretion" is not a skill, no. Masters are those who are skilled in the arts that acquire Rank, or otherwise have lots of Rank. Remember, in his first world Rank...

If the hidden ones are Accretion based beings they've probably got like... transcendent shrouds they rule the cosmos with. Power beyond even Hadou Gods, given that Haeliel would just be able to run interference for us with them.

Well, given what we know of rank, a being with a high enough one having a all encompassing universal+ pressure that guides them and the world around them to make whatever choices they desire happen doesn't seem that far off from the general principle if scaled up far enough.

Hmm.

You could even call it a form of Fate.

Build Cleanup would be nice, both mechanically and to tie up loose ends. And since we can take Iridescence without its prerequisite, the case of the missing pick might finally be solved! Still, Deathly Star just got a huge upgrade (thanks, Sharkey) and having one use for each enemy Armament might be the difference between life and death, if we emerge into a shitstorm on par with Winter's Brand. Flight of Falling Stars seems like TKSA's spiritual sibling, and would synergize if we can get access to it again.

As for the Graces? Well, Gisena was Made Whole in the quest before last, so her acquiring the ability is pleasantly ironic. If it can completely fix the Forebear's Blade that'd be convenient, but I wouldn't say no to the chance to resurrect Daylian if it ends up being put to a vote. Vanquisher + Auspice is solid, though, since the latter Grace both synergizes with the Ring of Time and accelerates her future crafting speed. We should watch out for future procs targeting her before the snowballing starts, maybe Lucenthorne coming to town. A power-agnostic 5 pick fight, just what Doc Apoc ordered...

They were no match for Hunger, and utterly unintelligible; so, not wanting to take any sort of risk in the Realm he slew all that struck at him. They proceeded past the monsters and saw that the cave seemed to expand as they went, the walls growing progressively steeper and broader.
Just a thought; this appears to be the fear that Hunger expressed at the Temple, where an immensely powerful threat rested within a ring of creatures that were so beneath it Hunger could not possibly anticipate nor scale up to meet it

I can't remember if this was mentioned before but we can change which ability stars refreshes whenever we want, right?

Anyway, if this is the case, hopefully everyone's fave Big Hungry Robot can teach everyone, Hunger aside, how to manifest one now and hopefully Sharpbright should still let Letrizea make some on her own if not.

Note that in addition to letting Gisena pick up Make Whole during any 2+ day downtime, Auspice Temporal will also reduce the cooldowns on Make Whole (and Nullity, for that matter) to 1/10th of their normal duration.

Dumping a Tide of Nullity on every major battle becomes a serious consideration with a cooldown reduced to that extent, and Make Whole will be out of commission for a much shorter amount of time should she pick it up and use it to repair the sword in the interim.

Switching vote to support one of the front-running Graces.

we probably have 9 Arete by vote end...
Now here's a poster with ambition.

First, the Grace: An excellent choice! Time manipulation helps with research as well as combat as well as cooldowns. Plus, Hunger's not at 100% so combat help is nice and it takes advantage of CotK.

Second, the Praxis: An excellent choice! Remember when we skipped Slice Fate? We don't have to make that mistake again. DPS x 14 x 3 is a major boost to our ranged (!) combat capabilities.

Third, the Blood advancement: An excellent choice! This lets Hunger make better plans while in the heat of battle, without the regret of Build Cleanup where Hunger might get +23 INT and immediately realize "I should've taken Flight of Fallen Stars"

You have my vote, so long as you don't change your mind and nobody pays me to change mine.

Honing needs to hit at least 27 votes for us to get it. We can do it 😤

Alright, if this is what it takes to get people to vote for foundational advancements.
