Honestly I'm super stoked that we got Double Refinement of Battle. What a boon, look at how many options that opens.

Now for build votes

[X] Vanquisher's Grace + Auspice Temporal
[X] Build Cleanup

I know Rihaku keeps talking about how useful taking on multiple Armaments at once could be, but quite frankly I'd rather just outscale them instead of fighting as peers. When we fought that Knight in the Garden of the Temple, we didn't pick the option that made us better able to fight Knights. We just farmed picks enough until we could slay hundreds of them off screen thanks to the silly nature of how fast we grew. The strength required to make fighting Armaments regularly a more palatable prospect is also the strength that would elevate us past quickly.

Also come on guys, let's get Honing. Adding our Wits to our Combat Intelligence is a great boon! We might be smart enough to avoid getting surrounded by multiple Armaments!

Auspice Temporal is a good combat Grace that works well with Companions, but honestly I want it for the research time speed boost and Ultimate Cooldown reduction.

To be fair, so long as we can quickly kill an Armament in such a situation, the resulting picks would make the following fight easier, much like killing Eva snowballed into Sten's defeat. So maybe getting surrounded by Armaments isn't such a bad idea, so long as it's on our terms? I'm sure Destroyer!Seram would be proud of the tactic...

But how many picks would you actually receive for a single Armament these days... inflation is killer, let me tell ya!

Well, at least 3? Individually they aren't quite the threat they used to be nowadays, but they're still Rank 10 interstellar WMDs. Plus the increased difficulty of a group fight should also factor in. And if we have some Arete on hand, those 3 picks could turn into a not insignificant power jump.

I'd estimate Procyon as a relatively safe 3 picks fight after Winter King. No ambush, white room conditions, a simple competition of martial might.

Then we magnified our damage output and defensive parameters by x14.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

they just don't build them like they used to, god damn

Sharkey really being a pillar of the community, here, with this generous donation, his vocal civic participation, the local newspaper...really makes you wonder about his long-term political plans in AST City....

...Deep pockets and generous donations...owns a leading news paper...leading us down a path he says is for the best yet leads to lies (YA Aeira Boost where???)...AND Sharks are technically bald????

Sharkey is Jeff Bezos

I suspect that apocryphal will give boost to new version of armanent like Gundam at the season finale thought.

Some mad scientist maybe get vision form Dr.A and build machine that can defeat us.

The point of Tide of Glory is that it's an army buff/debuff - and thus the stats that it grants individual soldiers are quite small. Unless we want to lead Nilfel's armies on a glorious conquest of the Human Sphere, Aobaru would derive greater benefits from a more focused buffing Grace, if that's what we want to do. Though I'll admit that the image of Gisena punching out armies with its Ultimate is pretty funny.
Armies don't have giant interlocking stat percentage multipliers and rank 9 usually.

If you're leery of that though?

What's your angle on Lord Regnant? Up to 10 levels(whatever that translates to here) in pursuit of whatever Oaths a character chooses? Before Sealing Protocol Level 1 kicks it up a notch.

Seram's level system was operating at a 15x XP difference to Hunger's. A small handful of stats for our party on that level is irrelevant, we'd be much better off getting a Grace to empower Aobaru. Alternatively, a Grace actually designed to give big bonuses to a handful of people than one made to give small bonuses to large numbers of people.

the wording on Make Whole says a guaranteed level of success on moderate repairing the sword. But I feel like some people think taking Make Whole plus our previous repairs Will automatically fix the sword. Is that true? My reading on it is that it'll still be damaged, just less so that before.

Hmm. I wonder if Emperor Red would help us fix any current and future Shatterings. Those seem to operate on the level of Essence.

So... Lord Regnant then with Sealing Protocol Level 1? Or whatever the White Grace(Physical invulnerability) translates to in this system?

Or to spitball some other ideas...

Sealing Protocol 1 + Vanquishers Grace?

It kicks up True Perfecting Blade and Vanquishers Grace a notch and gives more material for COTK/Vigorflame to work with.

[X] Vanquisher's Grace + Auspice Temporal
[X] Flight of Falling Stars

[X] Forebear's Blade - Headsman

As odd as it is to say, I think Wolfy might have a point (this time). The Make Whole build is, notably, the only one that does not accelerate Gisena's growth rate, which could cause her to lag behind in relevance. All three of the other builds have strong potential, but the Vanquisher one is the one that gets us some of that potential right away, in the form of making Gisena usable in combat again.

The Forebear's Blade damage is a problem, but it's not worth sabotaging Gisena's build over. Auspice Gisena can pick up Make Whole and Sealing lv1 easily later, but Sealing+Make Whole can not easily pick up Auspice and Vanquisher later.

Still think Flight of Falling Stars is the coolest, although Zampano has made good arguments for Headsman. Double voting for now, I'll likely trim one of them at a later point.

The premade Gisena build options are not necessarily options chosen for synergy with COTK.

The Blurbs were written Before COTK was taken for Eternity and an Hour. We're in uncharted territory and pondering the implications/Considering write-ins(not necessarily my write-ins if you've got some interesting idea) is likely to do us good

Yeah, the thing is that the Azure Ring scales with Rank, and the Azure Ring is the ring of Time, Truth and Artifice. However, Artifice is the Chief Dominion.

Going for Skyveil-lite may not be a bad idea since Artifice-casting took a big leap.

Vanquisher option is also boosted by CoTK since it leans on Ring of Time's synergies with Auspice. This means her growth curve would be accelerated even harder.

Make Whole + Sealing Protocol Level I, on the other hand, wasn't buffed at all by the leap to Rank 9.

Gisena needs to fix our sword smh. I would prefer fixing our vulnerability before anything else.

[X] Vanquisher's Grace + Auspice Temporal

Just want this to get Gisena back in fights. General speed buff outside also means it's a relatively safe hedge for her catching up if it isn't needed.

Companions of the king wasn't the best...but I like it anyways. Sometimes it's just nice to have semi relevant friends.

Invest enough in Gisena and she'll be far more than semirelevant!
