This is... A poor substitute. A poor, poor substitute to the legendary fight we just missed. Still, it's something, I guess.

[X] If you wanted to decrease your intelligence, you would spend time with your head held underwater. No, you want to expand your horizons, seek out Youme-sensei, or at least someone on her level should she be unavailable. You know of a few Ame elites who might be interesting, and would probably be interested in you.

Let's deliberately snub him by seeking someone else for a fight, someone better. Someone actually in our level. Even if it doesn't come to a spar, we might learn something, and the only thing better than killing your enemies is learning new and novel ways of killing your enemies!

More seriously, we backed out of that fight because we thought Tsubaki couldn't take it, so let's make sure she's strong enough that she never has to back out of such an epic fight again.

Fight Honda or not, don't let me influence your descision. I was just surprised there was so much enthusiasm to fight after ducking out on Shukaku. Granted, I know the reason for not fighting Shukaku, I just figured there wouldn't be as much enthusiasm for a fight in general, for some reason.

Edit: Er, don't let me influence you here, maybe listen if it's a more important vote though. I really just expected people to latch onto Youme/new character hooks since they're there.

Let's be honest, most of us didn't think that Honda stand a chance and if we maim heir it could end bad. It's best to use our energy and frustration in constructive way by supervision of experienced shinobi.

Kind of disappointed we didn't at least find out what the Contract was for but I suppose that's Ninja life for you. Secrets upon secrets. Torn on the vote though...a part of me wants to let Tsubaki let loose on Honda since she probably isn't as tired this time. Having to go slow for the Contract Guy could work to our advantage in the end, we're as fresh as we'd ever be after a mission...which makes me think Honda just wants to catch us when we're not at our best since he only ever asks us this after missions...the bastard has no respect for the strong!. The other part wants us to get to know our Sensei better or at the very least gain some potential companions. I'm pretty torn actually but letting Honda stew in our repeated rejections might lead to him actually challenging Tsubaki himself.

I think a lot of people are frustrated that we ran from the Ichibi. Even the people who voted for it didn't exactly do it gladly, and the people who didn't vote for it share Tsubaki's absolute frustration. So we kinda just wanted to do violence aimed at the nearest acceptable target, and Honda kindly volunteered for the job.

That said, it wasn't really your post alone that motivated me to switch votes. Heck, I didn't even see it before revoting! It's just that kicking Honda's face in was my first instinct to wash away the bitter taste of missing out on the epic battle, but after a second to reflect on it and re-reading the options, I wanted to train instead, so next time we made sure that we could harm the Ichibi, and voters would be less hesitant.

Damn, dealing out a beatdown to Honda would be primally satisfying, especially after the last fight... but I want to see more positive Tsubaki connections plus Ame worldbuilding.

I was going to close the vote now, but I'll hold off to tomorrow morning since I don't really know if I'm in the right state to write right now some of these winter beers are strong.
