Bone and Blood (Naruto Quest)

[X] Make contact with the paltry ninja force in the Land of Birds, they're the ones who are supposed to be replacing the regime after all. Though this will take the most amount of time, perhaps it will lead to the most stability.

Let's make some new friends!

[X] Break into the Land of Birds' capital, it would be better if you weren't seen right before the Daimyo and his supporters were killed en masse.

Tulip Dance is now Mushroom Dance. I'm not sure if that's more informative of its abilities, but there you go. Actually has anyone posited, based on what you know about Cedar Dance, what Grapevine Dance is?

As much as I'd like to just kill the guy and be out, we want the Land of Birds as an ally that can at least stand on its own two feet before we leave so we probably want stability.

It would be best if we were not seen with the new regime before they take power either.

We've got a lot of time, and given that Ninja seem to operate somewhat off of prison rules, establishing that Tsubaki is scarier than anyone of them, and that she works for scarier people, will probably be helpful in the long run.

Cedar Dance is all about using our bones to reinforce and enhance our body. Maybe Grapevine is a bit more offensive and invasive variant? Try and 'restrain' enemies with relatively flexible spinal columns and the like that may or may not wind their way into the opponent's soft tissue? I figure it's liable to be something mildly horrific, build off of invasive bone augmentation, and wind around things like vines.

Best to coordinate things with the ninja that will be taking over to minimize problems in the transition imo.

[X] Approach the Land of Birds' capital as an envoy from Amegakure, it's true after all. Once you're in there, decapitate the regime. It's as simple as that.
we crave the challenge, we crave the satisfaction of making nice with the daimyo and then shanking him.

Caution, and perhaps allies.

I like how straightforward it sounds :V

I'm pretty leery of just outright killing a daimyo even if they are minor ones. We haven't heard anything about Iwa taking them out through all of their engagements in the east, so taking them out might be an extreme escalation.

I'd rather court the local military and retrieve some useful intel. Plus if kill the daimyo, the ninja might call for assistance from a distant major power. Best not to create a vacuum we can't exploit in time.

1st option shows Ames hand.
2nd creates a power vacuum.
3rd might lead to diplomatic annex.

Ah, this is something I was going to explain in-time IC, but bringing it up now might add some clarity to Ame's situation.

The Land of Storms has no Daimyo, Hanzo rules as an uncontested (cough cough Akatsuki cough) military dictator with the ninja apparatus replacing standard political structures. Though there are bureaucrats.

Some countries have daimyo but no ninja village, and Stone has neither a ninja village nor a nobility, it's theocratic. Some other minor countries also have different power structures.

Back to your post though, Iwa wouldn't kill a Daimyo without good reason (or openly if they didn't have it) because Onoki answers to the Earth Daimyo.

I don't know why but when it comes to politics I'm always cautious of backstabbing.

Ironically enough, assassinating the daimyo might be the only "ninja" mission we ever get that an actual historical ninja would carry out, as opposed to the magic-supersoldier bullshit Naruto's "ninjas" are usually doing.

The way I see ninjas in Naruto is pretty much as mercenarie armies/companies with mix of them being secret police involved. Yes they can do assassinations, sabotage missions but given their fire power and capabilities it's no wonder that Daimyos employ them to fight their wars, patrol borders and such.

I've been waffling between this option which feels like a nice continuation of her dismissive attitude and Making Contact, which feels like the most professional use of her time.
