Just a reminder; it is a bad idea to expect to gain a lot out of the seventh year.
Also, the dueling club, and thus probably even its bonuses, will probably be closed during the fifth year.
@Tabula Rasa Something that have just occurred to me, once we learn the Blue Wideye Potion, can we sell it to other students?
This potion would be quite useful for any regular student, but extremely valuable for 5th and 7th years... As we saw in the books OWL students made business with many illegal substances to get better results in their exams.
Even if we just ask for a reasonable price (2-3 times the cost of the materials) in advance we can easily brew enough potions for selling the. To our customers and keeping a few of the batch for Jacob's use in the coming months...
It's only lonely at the top when you have no rivals or friends.
Yes, brewing and selling potions is one of your possible avenues to make some gold (like the little goblin you are! Always so hungry for coins!).@Tabula Rasa Something that have just occurred to me, once we learn the Blue Wideye Potion, can we sell it to other students?

And thus, Jacob became a teenage drug dealer. "I finance my own consumption like this, bro. Easy money! You should do it, too."Sure but that doesn't change what we can do here and now. There will likely be other opportunities by then though.
Yea I'm actually quite keen on that as there will always be owl and newt students wanting a booster. So we'll have the chance to sell those year round. Make a jumbo sized cauldrons worth of the potion every 4 months to make money to pay for our own usage of the potion and to make a little extra would be nice.
Oh. Oh my.Edit: Changed to this. BeepSmile convinced me. I like their reasoning.
[X] "This is the Road to the Top" – Tracey's goal seems to be clear. She wants to rise in ranks, however long it takes her. Her fierceness inspires you as well; this is something you can do. You will aim to win the dueling tournament at the end of this year, however farfetched that goal is. Because this feels like something that could be a lot of fun.
I love, absolutely love the mysteries in this quest so far.
But I think it would be nice to have another great thing we are doing. And since this is a quest, combat seems a good option.
Also I've read Rien ne va Plus and Tabula Rasa is amazing at writing combat. As we've also seen in the few duels so far.
The vote has been open for less then a day. I'll let it open for a bit longer at least. But I'll likely post an update this evening (CET). Whoever is in the lead then, will be the winner.
