Wow, it turns out challenging the students went perfectly fine! Who could have guessed this?

I don't get saying that Fundamentals is the pure power option when Style of Legend is right there. If we want power, there's nothing better.

Basically the current winning plan, but with the Black Claws instead. We are already a Style that gives incredible power at the cost of safety, so I don't see the problem of being more so. I think Style of Legend is the most valuable trait on offer, so we should grab it when we can. Don't have much to say besides that, really.

The last time Kaname tried cultivating while impolite, they found the difficulty discouraging enough to practice etiquette to make cultivating easier. I'd prefer to see if that works twice than go straight to "remove a fault."

Spreading rumors about the new style seems like the kind of thing that might reduce disreputable, and in any case is a Domain option that doesn't immediately have new students who don't have Asuka's supreme skill risk killing themselves. Given we've currently got some degree of acceptance on the part of her master, I'd rather not push people training in the Art while we've got Impolite.

Grey Rat's Black Claws is because I like having Legend, but please recall the options that give Legend tend to be painful in their other traits - taking it seems likely to put off training new students again.

That all said, I'm very tempted by "[ ][Personal] Spend some time crafting a Treasure for Asuka using materials hunted from Demon Beasts. " Using Hunter and Artisan together to make treasures is absolutely something I want to see more of in Grey Rat Style.

These are some good points, particularly in that Cultivating is more efficient than just trying to remove Impolite. No one is voting for my plan anyway, so I guess I will support this.

@Evenstar could you spoiler the winning vote at the beginning of updates or indicate which vote won or something? i had a hard time figuring out which vote won sometimes when i was binging the story in reader mode.

I'll note that the current tally feature under "thread tools" can be used fairly easily to count the votes between any two updates, and that's usually going to give you the winner.

(The very first vote in the quest had people keep voting after it was called.)

Just looked over this vote's tally, and noticed I'd fucked up. I left "Plan" out of my vote name, and it's splitting the tally.

My vote is now properly a Plan.

While my main motivator for the vote is definitely picking up that point in Style of Legend, the point has been made that trying to expand so aggressively while our Style still has the Difficult trait isn't the best of ideas. Now that we've had the Duel and everything went perfectly fine we don't have any particular pressure of time to worry about, so there's really no disadvantage to wait until our Style is a bit more suited to mass adoption by removing Impolite. We aren't racing against anything, so why not take the time to do things right?
