Renaissance Woman currently has as many voters as Stalk and Waters each thanks to that move. Never underestimate the power of Magical_Duck.

Hm. I just remembered one important detail. The LP will continue to plot against us during this time, so we should pick the risky option so it's certain that our Progression is faster than his ability to develop countermeasures.

TBH, I'm feeling pretty good about Mr. 3 EFBs in a few days IC's ability to progress under stress, so we'll probably end up just fine with the proper challenge.

What was priority two again?
I thought The Long Voyage was going to win last I checked?

Does that mean we aren't going to do the big journey with Aobaru and we're going to the empire after we kill this fish?
(I'm not voting to destroy people's prosperity unless we absolutely have to)

Man I really might be voting against my SAFETY principles, but only for MORAL principles hmmmmm.

Man these big votes are really hitting at the worst cross section of my available time and my need to sleep lol

Edit: Uhhhh [X] The Armament Fish
Don't like the recklessness either but I can't really come up with good arguements atm :/

Also I do agree the way the votes have been structured for the last two or three votes is making it a little hard to get invested in EFB choices (given it isn't immediate pay off and I am an American who needs ENJOYMENT NOW AUGHHH), and also choices in general because we're getting information on things days or longer ahead of Hunger's current mental state.

Will that become more of a thing if he gets more intelligent/ wise, since he's probably going to get more of an understanding of long term consequences tied to what he does?

What exactly do you think will happen to the Planar Delta, exactly? Destabilising an incredibly successful polity and leaving them vulnerable to the predations of oppressive opportunists isn't what I'd call the moral choice here. Certainly, it has the least personal impact on Hunger though, which is quite appealing on a lot of levels.
The giant fish has high personal impact, low impact on subjects, and low/beneficial impact on the cosmos as a whole.

Drinking the waters has low personal impact, high impact on subjects, and mostly neutral impact on the cosmos as a whole.

Killing Not!Vetinari has low personal impact, low impact on our subjects, and, yes, bad impact on the cosmos as a whole.

In fairness, you would be entirely right to accuse me of putting far higher value on the welfare of people who are Hunger's official subjects than on the welfare of people who aren't.

[x] The Armament Fish
Text says put an end to its rampage rather than destroy or kill. That doesn't rule out subduing and adding it to our panoply. Even if we do have to kill it it there's the opportunity to loot bits for Gisena and Verschlengorge.
Max greed, recklessness, fishing!
It would be good to snap buy A-DS before this fight. If we can't afford that though, Magic, World or Monster Defeating Stances could all be relevant in their own ways. Magic vs World is a question of whether the main armaments of a newborn Armament count as supernatural or not while Monster Defeating would give us scaled up smackface.
Apocryphal Curse has been mentioned. Ber is not due to finish his prestige class until at least a day after the Decimation deadline but there could be delays and Apoc-chan cheats. We do have some mitigation via Adorie, M-DS / A-DS would provide more. I wouldn't burn the perfect in advance when going into a fight where we might need it as a defense - that's doing the Curse's job for it.

[ ] The Lord of Stalks
Hunger has no sympathy for people who are better rulers than him. He cares not about the jackals because he follows up decapitation with conquest anyway. The question is, is the Delta close enough to the Realm of Myth to be an asset in the civil war Hunger is kicking off there? I mean he could decide that he already has the Tower and the Tears and abandon the Realm itself for the Delta. That would make Adorie sad though.
Also, no challenge - no picks - no Stranglethorn.

[ ] Territorial Waters
Might get something cool from absorbing the power. We won't have the Arete for Elixir.
Weakens Hunger's supply of agents. Weakens Hunger's capacity to bribe Human Sphere bigwigs by turning them into High Elementalists.
No new scenery.

As a dinosaur who has attempted to shoehorn ADS in twice in the last four updates, I am sympathetic to votes for Renaissance Woman even if it's impossible. But I should note that we're picking our next Huntress's Moon target here, what did Gisena do to deserve getting fed to our Curse?!

I have to say, that Renaissance Woman flip is one of the funniest things I've seen in the quest. Too bad we don't have enough Arete to actually do that, I would love such a bout of shenanigans. And curse mitigation is very relevant here, and Gisena's coming along, so it would actually make some degree of sense!

Do you guys really want to go so far as to kill the poor Armament Fish? It's just trying its best!

Apocryphal Armament confirmed?

[ ] A Fish Out of Legend - Rumor foretells of a continental beast whose overturnings send entire oceans a-roil, whose roar is the death of island chains and whose latticed fin in rise-and-fall spawns tsunami waves capable of wiping entire civilizations away like grout before the cleaner. To confront a beast of this scale, even with Hunger's superhuman agility, is surely folly. And yet the mechanics of Rank are such that only he who dares may win. Venture deep, deep into the vast pitiless blue of the Voyaging Sea, far past all hope of returning to shore from whence you departed; there in the endless azure dark will you find the shadow of the Armament-Fish, whose embryonic thrashings are an Ereadhihr's birth-throes.
The Armament-Fish's best is too good, that's why we have to kill it!

Alas, we can't actually pick Renaissance Woman until Gisena enters another Sorcerous Advancement. Also, I am pretty sure certain someone's bought wish will get it for us.

[X] Territorial Waters

I'll support whichever of these two after consolidation. I think I prefer Waters, tho.

[ ] The Armament Fish - This epochal beast is the end of civilizations. Put an end to its world-harrowing rampage; before the might of the Praxis, it is but one more walking swimming apocalypse put to the sword.

In fairness, It is explicitly described as being a habitual ender of civilizations and going on world harrowing rampages. Taking him out is probably the choice which has the most positive impact on masses of people.

[X] The Armament Fish

Anyway, their's good chance we could end up with a Armanent out of this given it churns them out and it would be extremely helpful too beating a prepared Lord Protector by out escalating his escalations via taking down this 3-pick.

Also, really looking forward to getting the Foremost lore from Once and Future and seeing what's up with King of Winter.
