Whether or not saving time would be useful in killing to Lord-Protector is relevant but moreso is the countdown until we are no longer Sated. Resolve whatever issues we may face here, then face Adorie after we've gained the power of the Empyrean Mantle, the Tears of Winter, Once and Future, King of Winter and perhaps All-Defeating Stance, which would represent a nuclear level of social ordinance.

While her negotiating position will be significantly better, we'll also be enormously more powerful. Moreover, we're likely to add the Realm of Myth into our collection of city-states anyway so we could have Adorie protect our citizens from the vagaries of the Apocryphal. At that point, Gisena and Adorie can hammer out our fiscal policy together while we do something more fun with our time.

Human Sphere? What's that? Is it delicious?

Sorry, too tempted by the WRMC advancement, it's just too cool to resist. Besides, it's hard to say no to further adventures in the Voyaging Realm. Maybe Apo-chan will create problems in the HS, but I'm certain we'll get enough rulership-related powers to overcome them.

As for the negotiations, I don't feel confident enough to leave our allies behind to deal with the Lord Protector, so I'm going for a decapitating strike. While Into the Breach gives picks for that, it also wastes time and doesn't really suit the goal. We can get 1 pick anywhere, we don't need complex challenges for that.

So agree to immediately solve Adorie's problem, get OaF(+Winter King) or ADS, assassinate the Lord Protector, then finish the next Decimator target, which the resources of Nilfel will hopefully help with.

Actually, Voyaging Realm is far bigger than Human Sphere I believe. Someone did some calculations. It is also not static.

I meant by like didn't the Empire have something like dominion over 600,000 planets or Is this my memory tucking with me?

If the human sphere is so huge my worry is once we enter it the plot hooks and demands of us will leave us just abandoning the Voyaging Realm entirely.

Nah, Human Sphere in total only has 10k inhabited systems. It's small in comparison to the Voyaging Realm.

It would sure be amusing if Apo-chan starts the Ring War while we are in middle of Long Voyage path. Quickly run back to Human Sphere if we don't want our Ring fucked over. Wouldn't that be great?

It may be considered annoying to beat on this drum yet again, but people did say that they want to delegate matters of rule as much as possible. Well, here it is! It has the highest success chance, it's the best for our polities, and leads to Hunger storytime! It does everything we want it to do and has great benefits with little risk. What's not to like?

What Rains May Come is quite shiny, but I do want to go the the Human Sphere eventually. We basically haven't seen half of the setting, and it's the most dangerous part to boot! Well, future Cursebearer fight aside, that is. We can help Aobaru along the way as well. I see very little need for the Long Voyage right now, frankly.

Indeed, don't you want to do the right thing by your people and Hide Behind Gisena? It's not like Adorie's kingdom needs more money!

Or, we can simply Cut Through and negotiate trade or whatever after this entire situation is over and we have overwhelming Rank and charisma alongside an more amiable ++++++Adorie at least! I also think Cut Through has the best synergy with our decision to give Tears to her.

Negotiating wastes valuable time that can be used to plan an alpha strike against the Tyrant! We do need to deal with this entire situation before Decimator's mitigation runs out.

Edit: Let's also not forget that Hide behind Gisena can fail, Adorie has an big Rank advantage over her at least!

True but we can get Once and Future through Into the Breach or by quickly cutting down some of the local minions of the Tyrant if we go Cut Through since we do save some extra time!

We likely won't have time for an alpha-strike even if we choose Cut Through here given the Time frame necessary for Decimator Mitigation, and going out killing the Lord Protector's Lieutenants is pretty ???. So I don't think it's very good for that reason. Cut Through might be good if we prioritize mitigation the most given the time saved? Just rushing through it does make sense if Hunger has already decided to take the Tower for power. That little bit of extra time might end up pretty important in that case.

Hmm. I am considering switching due to that. Let's see how this vote develops first anyway.
