Larissa has tactical information whereas Fairbright has strategic. So Larissa's information might help us fight but Fairbright's will help us understand the situation as a whole.

Winning a few battles doesn't matter if you don't win the war so I'd say the information Fairbright has is more valuable.

[X] Larissa of House Alynne

This is consistent with my motivations for picking RW and Crimson Flare. All other options satisfy the bare minimum at very least, so it would not be a terrible disappointment whatever wins.

[X] Heartpiercer
[X] Fierce Quickening
[X] Fierce Quickening x2
[X] Who Walked Away

I will likely change my vote. Eh. But let's give it a chance to compete.

What if we can turn future contests of primacy into romantic duels?! They thought they were in a seinen series, but in truth it was a romantic comedy.

Don't rightly know what to pick, since my heart goes out to Fairbright, but my mind tells me that the stalker would be more advantageous. Does that make me a gold-digger?

I'll abstain for now and get back to writing reactions now that I have more time. Can't go wrong with more Arete.

I really don't think we should pass out Larissa here people. Fierce Quickening plus We-DS actually gives out comparable stats to Heartpiercer; and we can still spend on more stances later. I really don't want Hunger to have the fates of 10 million people in his conscience. Any step to ease that is good in my mind. Plus it gets us information and powerful allies that benefit from our powerful buffing; so you can't even say it lacks power on that front, considering how much more useful they would be compared to the Horde.

Think about tomorrow and vote Larissa! It solves most of our problems, giving power, information and mitigates the consequences of stealing the Ring! For a less fraught future without moral complications, vote Alynne today!

EDIT: Forgot we are limited to two stances right now. Still, most of my points stand, and I don't want to rely on the tread to make 7 Arete from basically zero; that's a bad habit to get into.

Given the level of popularity of Those who Walk vs Larissa, people may want to consider voting for World Defeating Stance to hedge their bets when it comes to humanitarian crises at the moment.

Ideally we'd resolve these contests of primacy with children's card games.
Nah, men of culture use beyblade. Spin those little fuckers and the power will be yours. The origin of the universe was two powerful beyblades clashing. Moses parted the red sea using a beyblade (legit not joking, this was in the anime)

Card games are for lvl 30 degenerates. We are lvl 100 boss level degenerates that use violence so beyblade is the superior choice.

EDIT: Link for those who think I am kidding.

After finding out I was misreading the who walked away option I've realized they are all inner ring residents.

This means the Fairbrights were once a house in the Inner Ring supported by the interlude where they were referred to by name. If we assume Lady Aristeia Fairbright was once the head of her house supported by Rihaku referring to her as a living legend, and that heads of houses have a place on the council, then the strategic information she holds could be very important. At any rate as a head of house she would have at one time held a similar position to that of Larissa.

As someone who actually tried rebelling and freeing the ring she might know more about how it works and what the consequences of removing it might be to the civilization and immortals. Any tactical information about the layout or passwords to gain entry or anything of that nature would have been changed since her capture but she might know something about the innermost defenses or some of the abilities of at least whoever defeated her.

While I'm going to bed due to it being 4AMish, I'm putting a marker up for Those Who Walk+World-Defeating Stance. 1 Veto, markers are on a first come first serve basis, tag me with a vote/vote change to accept, you know the drill.

I'm currently on those who walk + hero defeating. Is that too close for you?
Assuming not,
[X] Who Walked Away
[X] Fierce Quickening
[X] Fierce Quickening X2
[x] World-Defeating Stance

[X] Heartpiercer
[X] Who Walked Away

Eh, I want to meet one of the Fairbrights and see what the fuss is all about, but I won't mind any of the options winning.

For people who may have skipped earlier discussion, non Larissa builds that want to avoid humanitarian disasters benefit strongly from the World Defeating Stance' s intelligence boost helping us adjust the time dilation on the calendar engine to perform a proper evacuation.

[X] Larissa of House Alynne
[X] Fierce Quickening
[X] World-Defeating Stance

*sigh* i flip

[X] Larissa of House Alynne
[X] Weapon-Defeating Stance
[X] Fierce Quickening

Tentatively voting for this, as it adds the most relevant combatants to us, helps deal with a lot of secondary issues with taking the ring, and Fierce Quickening+Weapon-Defeating Stance is a great way to take advantage of the great scaling boosting raising has plus that sword praxis lets us dish out a lot of damage while parrying exotic effects if we can move fast enough.
