Why? The moon has always been associated with dark blue (the color heralding nightfall, when the moon rises). It's a little weird that Truth and Moon are both Azure, right?

Yeah, I wondered about that too.By the way, since the wording is a bit odd @Rihaku: Is the bonus provided by Crimson Flare flat, or does it scale as we get stronger even after taking it?
I think Silver of Evening is somewhat being overlooked due to the convenience of Crimson Flare, but 1 pick is not a very onerous requirement and the power it offers is very synergistic with your build.
So the Azure Ring is also a Ring of Time. Not too surprising given the stuff we've seen when entering the Temple, but fighting such effects is going to be annoying.
The reprisal of the Azure Ring is that the Crimson is riding to its rescue, sword cleaving the way through its jailors, with a great Hunger. The poetry is kind of worrisome though. The Crimson Flare's effects seem to be very well-suited for subverting the Moon Civ, yet it speaks of 'rapine and sack' and 'debts unpaid'. Is the Azure Ring going to want revenge? Hadn't thought about it before, but I suppose it might be sentient enough to desire such things.
Don't forget that it refers to Hunger-the-human as a steed to ride, a means of conveyance for the Crimson Ring! It's a wholesome poem, no concerning implications at all.The poetry is kind of worrisome though. The problem I have with Silver is that compared to the other EFB that makes us the Maiden equivalent, this one which increases the power of the precursor Element to Findross seems much, much weaker.
Well, Hunger is the Ring and the Man, so that could consider Versh the steed just as easily (heck, we actually do ride on him). Rihaku's poems are like Harry Potter prophesies; they're vague enough that you can put a lot of interpretation into them if you squint.Don't forget that it refers to Hunger-the-human as a steed to ride, a means of conveyance for the Crimson Ring! The point is that Crimson's abilities can replace whatever Azure Ring offers them once we rescue it (Ennoblement etc), yet it still speaks as if we're going to destroy them. The reprisal of the Azure Ring is that the Crimson is riding to its rescue, sword cleaving the way through its jailors, with a great Hunger.
We'll literally be murdering their civilization by ripping out the heart upon which the rest of it is built once we reclaim it.
Yeah, I just tried ignoring that part. >.<Don't forget that it refers to Hunger-the-human as a steed to ride, a means of conveyance for the Crimson Ring! It's a wholesome poem, no concerning implications at all.
Flare places the Azure ring in debt, but that is but one among many, and one without a bearer at that. Ruling Ring is still terribly dangerous even with Flare. The Azure Ring will submit to the Crimson in the next contest of primacy.
Maybe it's a metaphorical destruction, did you ever think about that? The point is that Crimson's abilities can replace whatever Azure Ring offers them once we rescue it (Ennoblement etc), yet it still speaks as if we're going to destroy them.
Why yes, surely it's just playing around when speaking of ruin, burned, rapine and sack.Maybe it's a metaphorical destruction, did you ever think about that?![]()
'Debt unpaid shall not abide' is why it bows in the next contest; it's paying its debt by deferring to the crimson instead of competing for supremacy amongst all its brethren like would be normal. The point is that Crimson's abilities can replace whatever Azure Ring offers them once we rescue it (Ennoblement etc), yet it still speaks as if we're going to destroy them.
Yeah I am willing to abandon Selene if someone has an good plan on how to convince the other two to let us in. If we can't convince them of that, we will be forced to snap buy Magic and Hero defeating stance despite the fact that we have better alternatives like The King Stands Alone. EFB will also slip beyond our grasp...The vote for who to meet is surprisingly close. I'm fine with anything that doesn't cost Arete winning, now that my fearmongering about the Patreon conspiracy has been abated by the new power EFBs. Saving Arete is good again folks. Gotta resist temptation! We already have a new party member, no need to be degenerate and go for a bunch at once. Just let things settle a bit and see how they shake out, yes?

This reminds me of Hunger's musings back when he realized the truth of the Call after getting Chief Dominion, saying that a contest of primacy was one thing, but a Ring would not accept seeing another suffer like that. Or something to that effect. Seems like not everyone is as honorable as Hunger...Much has been said about the poem, of it's lilting verse, these draw the eye.
We now have confirmation that their are multiple Rings in play, and that the contest involves them all.
Ah, thanks. That alleviates my concerns... a little bit? There's still the rest of the poem, but eh, we'll get to it later on.'Debt unpaid shall not abide' is why it bows in the next contest; it's paying its debt by deferring to the crimson instead of competing for supremacy amongst all its brethren like would be normal.
