Hope we can learn Ty lee's fighting style, she was so awesome

Yeah that'd be bloody awesome.

Not sure if I should be posting this, but this is what I envision when I say I want us to learn the spear. I imagine it's the same for you and Ty Lee's style. Dream of being the greatest warrior, and the greatest warrior should be a master of many combat styles :D.

For sure, I want to see tons of different styles rather than be stuck with just 1 or 2, especially since this is avatar, home of tons of cool combat styles.

If we're talking narrative potential, honestly, I feel like Crime and Dreams is a bit lacking in that regard. Particularly, the goal of wanting to become a great warrior. The problem with that goal, I feel, is that it really doesn't interact with the new setting all that much. In canon or not, the only way to accomplish that goal is to fight people and train. That just makes the whole plot boil down to a battle shounen. It's not like great non-bending fighters don't exist, they just aren't as common as great bending fighters. It just doesn't mesh well with the whole warring factions, grey morality setting we're in, and feels like a motivation from a completely different show. Like plopping someone with Goku's personality into Attack On Titan.

Like, I get people want to be a cool badass non-bender character, but if that's going to be one of the only major facets of our character, I feel like that just creates a flat uninteresting character. I want to be a character that will stand on their own as an interesting and fun character, even without the fact that they're a great non-bending fighter. There's a reason why Ty Lee and Mai are side characters, and Sokka is a main character. It's because he just brings more to the table, despite being less of a badass.

I think we should just stop making assumptions and just wait until the post arrives. Then we can judge the character.

Well, you have one more creation turn before that happens, and that's going to be your weapon, and education and starting location (within the Western Earth Kingdom).

I think that, if we're an orphan, we can make something like "finding our own found family/friendship thing" (don't know how to word it, or I'd pitch it myself...) as our goal?

I really like that as an idea...

That's why I really want Orphan. There's a ton of story potential in there. Sadly, looks like orphan won't win, forcing us to have loving parents who care for and support us.
You can do that with any option. Choosing your own family is a concept available to anyone...
Well yeah, but it's far more emotionally significant if you don't have a family already.

well, he might be adopted

then he still already has a loving family, just not one biologically related to him!
he's not looking for his "real" parents, he would be trying to build up an entire new family!

[x] Plan: Lost and Found
-[x] No one
-[x] build your own family

(I *still* don't think I phrased it very well, but it's fine, I guess?)

Ideally i want to be an orphan, who keeps company with thieves, murderers and anything in between.
