perhaps but the blackfyres lost the original civil war and then backed an invasion that failed in the ninepenny kings war. In the eyes of the seven kingdoms I doubt they are considered legitimate. Viserys on the other hand is the son of the king before Robert lending him significant claim to the throne

I trust Jaehaerys word more than most other characters that have delivered such information before.
Plus, everyone seems to belive it, so, what else is there to say.
I think what is of greater importance is that people believe that its true. It does not really matter if Orys was a Targaryen bastard the fact people think he is can be enough for a semi legitimate claim to the throne.
That would also mean the female blackfyre line now have an actual claim.

He's a very very obscure member of House Targaryen whose name shouldn't be known by anyone really (outside of Viserys and Daenerys, who were drilled on it from the cradle probably). Vaeltigar is a mashup of Velaryon & Celtigar. I am fond of alliteration, second choice for a fake first name was Vaegon, after Vaegon the Dragonless.
Also, we need to unload the silk ASAP and hit the road some more, our merchant empire won't build itself!
