Because I think that Brie does care she just needs to be reminded of that.

Well, since Brie is an NPC now, that means it's Rabbit who has to come up with the Wish, if he even bothers.
I mean, in his place, I wouldn't.
Exactly.

This is a decision we have to make here. To either fight Brie or not, and for what reason if we do.

Pushing Brie to come up with a compromise isn't gonna cut it here

Not my ideal, but it's about the most believably Medb-like right now

I mean, I wouldn't mind it if someone found a magical solution that gives everyone what they want, but Always Late's best idea is to somehow use Medb's Honey to enslave the entire city and wipe their memories.

And I kinda... that... shouldn't work? Like, my biggest question is how that would even work, since we don't have enough prana for that, Medb's Honey doesn't wipe people memories, gathering everyone will be a motherfucker, so many problems.
Not my ideal, but it's about the most believably Medb-like right now

Yeah, I'm given this hand, so I play it.
If controlling Brie won, I'd most likely choose to fight Medb for the sake of happy life that would probably fail to materialize afterwards. But, eh, this is also cool.

My biggest problem with that vote is that it's not actually making a decision. Its pushing all the responsibility back into Brie, which I can only see as running away from the responsibility of earlier choices
But running from the responsibilities of earlier choices is exactly what people did by having Medb go against Brie's wish and then switching to playing Medb instead. If nothing else it's consistent.

Er, about that. I've read your vote, and it doesn't say "Make like Homura or Hans", it says "Come up with a Wish to save everyone and also eat the cheesecake".

Basically, I feel like you're removing any sense of responsibility for how to unfuck this everything to your liking and placing it on QM's shoulders.

And that's bad civilization.
Except we got the vote to play as Medb, and then refused to actually win. The only victory for Medb Rabbit has allowed for now is something we've chosen not to do. Even this counter-vote of yours does the exact same as me, and it's manipulative to claim otherwise. Brie still has the choice, and so Rabbit has the choice. Whether two or four-plus options, you have not done the thing you claim to do.

If you want to make a decision your self, then vote to kill Brie right now. Suck it up and go for the normal end of every one losing.

Past tense. Not current, and I sure as hell didn't specify the honey. Or memory wipes.

You're forgetting a few things, intentionally or not.

Honey, because that's how Medb's mind control works. She just doesn't have to make the target drink it, it's a Heroic Skill.

No, you know what, say what Wish you wanted to make if everyone chose to play as Brie. Say it.
And then tell Brie.
That's agency, not "Oh Brie, I know you are smart, now make a Wish that will do everything I want it to, because I don't know how."

I'm done here, see you after the next update.

I think this vote is the crux of it, it's not how I would have wrote it, but the sentiment is -I think- correct. The way we've played this, if Brie were truly willing to sacrifice the town for Medb, then she wouldn't be the person Medb really fell in love with any more. Not completely.

Medb wants the sassy asshole cheese who knew how how to tell her no, not just another sycophant. Even if Brie wins, if she wishes for Medb alone at the cost of the town, she loses anyways.

No, it is exactly the thing Medb fell in love with. Brie refusing to take shit from Frankenstein, Olga, or the Guru is no different from Medb bulli. This is just the problem that character trait runs into when things go to shit because of things beyond their control. Brie refuses, only this time she's never been exposed to a trolley problem.

[X]"When we first got told of the Clocktower's decision, you told Scathach and Jeanne you wouldn't 'leave the people of New Rimeland in the lurch' when making your wish. You wanted an alternative that did something for everyone even if it fell short of one ideal, because you refused to lie down and accept the cruelties of an uncaring world and uncaring old men."
-[X]"Well, now is the time prove your strength of mind, beloved Brie. The town must be saved with a wish, or you must crush me under your heel. How are you going to save me, if only a piece? You have one possible option right behind you. And a restoration can be broadly interpreted. So show me the mind I fell in love with, what is your answer?"

Hey if the QM throws us an obnoxious trolley problem why not actually just toss it back along with a "anti-trolley problems" bomb to blow it all up?

You guys just want to give into the choice of "sacrifice the person you love to save random people" or "sacrifice random people to save the one we love" so screw that. If this works we get everything and if it doesn't we at least tried without indulging a damn trolley problem.

Also the "get brie to let us go" vote reeks of that "Servants aren't real people and don't deserve love and compassion or to stay in this world and live in it cause they're deeeeead" crap the nasuverse pushes and I ain't having that.

Let me be clear AL, I have found your conduct obnoxious, and your slagging of the QM even more so.

However, I can see a point in your vote.

Do not take this as agreement with your unwarranted vitriol or attitude.

If I am guilty of being overly blunt and harsh in my constructive criticism, then that is my sin to pay for by whatever means those in authority deem suitable, and deserving of their attention via normal channels.

If I am guilty of causing upset feelings by criticizing bad writing, then I make zero apologies for locking the captain of the U.S.S. Robert Heinlein in his quarters for saying kids need to be spaced because he forgot to load emergency supplies.

Okay actually, @Always Late I have a question.

You have this line in your vote. "How are you going to save me, if only a piece? You have one possible option right behind you."

What 'possible option' are we even talking about?

Pulling a Hans, verbatim. Medb gets herself/soul/mind/whatever stored crystals or whatever, and Brie takes a couple more wars to revive Medb fully.

There's also storing Medb as a second personality in Brie's body, but given it's already degrading and not made for two people like her old one, it'd mean going straight to the Doll-marker after this. Among others.

...Alright... I take it back then, I don't like that at all.

Hybrid vote, I don't like the 'it's time to let me go' bit from the other vote, but I also don't like the 'ways behind you' lines from the end of Late's vote, even if I like the overall sentiment.
