An appeal to emotions isn't going to work, Brie is doing this for the woman she loves.

An appeal to morals isn't going to work because lmao who the hell do you think you're fooling with that?

An appeal to bonds is ehhhhh. While Ruler and Emiya are both friends, they also both failed to do their explicit jobs and that's why we're in this situation. Also again, Brie loves Medb, had her Robo-self sacrifice herself for this war, and had to kill Olga. Rulers gone at the end of this and Emiya...got chewed out a couple times. Brie's had to put in way more than either.

An appeal to the dangers resulting from the mage association etc. is pretty much as laughable as appealing to morals. Regardless of Brie's choice, she's still a loose end for the mage family that made her, a homunculus with fair value for others, and Scathach's student. There's no road where she isn't hunted. Any arguement for her being in danger falls apart because any reasons presented for why she would be fine if she does save the town can be turned around to use as reasons for why she would be safe if she DID doom the town. Also yknow the whole having the protection of a Servant.

... heh. Well, if this vote doesn't scream 'last chance to unfuck yourself', then I don't know what does.

Hell, it's even possible to just have Medb surrender. But, if y'all want to get Brie to surrender: give Brie a wish that let's her have some compensation. Wind back time to the start of the quest, offload Medb's memory into a Mystic Code, any little piece of the happiness she wants that lets her step into the role of Hans.

[X] "My greatest Treasure... do you know what lesson I learned from my life? Lives matter. People matter."
-[X] "Do you remember how I died the first time? The ones you ruin have families, friends and comrades. They will come for you to avenge them, and I refuse your Light to be Extinguished like that."
--[X] "Brie, my Love. I'm so proud of you, but it's time to let me go."

I- what? You do realize both side don't have much ground to stand on, right? Brie choosing to save the town is the Mind of Steel Ending from Fate/Stay Night all over again and that ending had the most mentally fucked up Shirou amongst all endings.

I'd rather have Brie forcibly stopped from dooming the town than her choosing to save the town willingly by dooming her loved one.

Lol, he agrees with you.

I at first thought that you wanted to quote me.

Ultimately, this all boils down to Medb's wish. Brie is doing this for Medb's wish. You want Brie to stop what she's doing? Change Medb's wish.

Raiseth is right in I do want Brie to get her wish and especially not broken, but that's not the conversation dynamic of my comment. It's one of the QM giving a last chance for us players to end this on some sort of positive note.

I still dont really like this, but I do have an idea:

[X] look Brie directly in the eye
-[X] "if this is truly the path you choose, then show me you have the resolve to see it through to the end! Fight me! Brie! Make me submit!

[X]"When we first got told of the Clocktower's decision, you told Scathach and Jeanne you wouldn't 'leave the people of New Rimeland in the lurch' when making your wish. You wanted an alternative that did something for everyone even if it fell short of one ideal, because you refused to lie down and accept the cruelties of an uncaring world and uncaring old men."
-[X]"Well, now is the time prove your strength of mind, beloved Brie. The town must be saved with a wish, or you must crush me under your heel. How are you going to save me, if only a piece? You have one possible option right behind you. And a restoration can be broadly interpreted. So show me the mind I fell in love with, what is your answer?"

And here we go. This is the 'partial compensation' vote. The only way this doesn't work is if Brie goes nutso or Rabbit decrees the trolley can't be de-railed.

That's a pretty solid vote, but it relies on a Brie we aren't in control of coming up with a solution to the problem. I'm sure we could think of something and I'm sure Rabbit has already thought up a few possibilities for an everyone wins wish, but this Grail is fairly weak compared to the real deal and I'm not convinced Brie can come up with a solution on her own that can wipe everyone's memories and save Medb.

So, what kind of tricks could Brie pull with the wish?
1. Use the wish to emulate the fifth true magic and send Brie/Brie's memories back in time. Since we're in Minerva's body though that might lead to her getting the memories which wouldn't really help us and might explain how she played us so badly. While the Grail is lesser in some unspecified way it should still have the same amount of raw energy, so this should be possible, in theory at least.
2. Use the wish to use the second true magic to summon the fgo protagonist, Brie's counterpart with all the servants. FGO is clearly canon somewhere in the kaleidoscope because of the visions, so it's not impossible, Chaldeas 100% has the resources to save Medb and the city, but at the same time that opens up a few potential cans of problems best left sealed (not least of which is that we killed Olga).
3. Use the wish to teleport everyone to the reverse side of the world. Medb would be fine there, everyone else would temporarily be fine for a while before probably dying from monsters or mana poisoning or some other absurd thing.
4. Use the wish to upload everyone in the city to the moon cell. This has its own problems, mainly that Brie has no reason to know this even exists and also it's completely insane, but it's here for completions sake.

That's all that comes to mind for me honestly and all have enough downsides that they might not work. If we can help Brie come up with a plan that works I'll definitely agree with your vote Always Late, but it might help to find a working wish first.

I support the Homura maneuver

How does that sound, @AnonymousRabbit?

I mean, FGO/FWP crossover event, with Gudako Servant Classes focus characters, the promotion catalysts are all types of cheeses, and by the end of it the timeline is so fucked up that Gaia kinda decides to delete it altogether!

Sounds good to me.
Let the Gacha Games begin. :V

Well, that's a wrinkle which clearly never occurred to the the people who went "I like the update we just had with Medb, I'mma vote for moar". And now that the option is make everybody lose or pull something out of their ass, they choked. It's like the old rule about Servants: You don't get to affect the world, you're dead. We can't make the choice for Brie. We can only point her in the direction of Hans and Homura before letting her try and figure something out. It can't remove the possibility of Brie going "everybody loses". Nothing can, unless you want to make Medb abruptly surrender.

Does Brie know what's Medb wish in the first place? Brie has been fighting tooth and nail for the Grail but never once did we honestly ask what that wish was.

I'm not sure she has a Wish anymore. Her starting Wish was for all men to love her, remember?

But she kinda outgrew it, so it's now, eh, to save Brie, I guess?

Er, about that. I've read your vote, and it doesn't say "Make like Homura or Hans", it says "Come up with a Wish to save everyone and also eat the cheesecake".

Basically, I feel like you're removing any sense of responsibility for how to unfuck this everything to your liking and placing it on QM's shoulders.

And that's bad civilization.

My biggest problem with that vote is that it's not actually making a decision. Its pushing all the responsibility back into Brie, which I can only see as running away from the responsibility of earlier choices

Well, since Brie is an NPC now, that means it's Rabbit who has to come up with the Wish, if he even bothers.
I mean, in his place, I wouldn't.
