[X]Raise your hand.
-[X]"Cu Chulainn! By my command Seal, I summon you to my side! Incapacitate Minerva! Pin and Silence the Doll who stole my body!"
-[X] Summon Aegis as soon as possible to try and survive Carmilla.

Lol, killing also kinda means incapacitation. If she's dead, she can't do anything, right?

Actually thinking about it, box would have been bad too since it doesn't instantly end you. With two command seals and time that could have been a mutual bad end.

Also I wonder if Minerva is somehow unaware of the potency of our salt. I expect her to have anti-Berserker countermeasures. And Berserker disappearing from the battlefield with Brie suddenly showing up would trigger flags with our allies I hope.

We lived through Minerva's box not by enduring, but because we had an extra life to spend (Robo-Brie). She didn't have that protection. It would've worked.

Let me explain my thought again then. Auto Brie had enough time to find Brie and switch places, then self purge. Minerva would likely die, but she still has prana at that point and two command seals. We have seen that she can endure damage for long enough to act. I would only assume that she would be so spiteful as to summon Berserker one last time and possibly force him into warp spasm, if that would even be necessary. It would be him against injured Brie and at best, Assassin.

I fully accept that I could be wrong and the box would have worked, full stop. I doubt it though.

I mean, if I had tried to win it quickly and cleanly, I'd have voted for Magecraft.
Minerva was using up her prana to feed Cu Chulainn, we've already demonstrated that our magecraft isn't worse than hers, it has flexibility and range, ( lol ) but I voted for the Spear to spite everyone who hadn't voted for the Box, because "let's save it for Assassin" and "moral reasons".

I... kinda didn't want to fight Assassin at all, I'd have voted to run away. We are a master ffs, we have no business fighting a superhuman manifestation of a person who became a living legend without our own.

Eh, it's not like I'm disappointed with the direction this took, like, I'm totally fired up for this part, it feels exciting and interesting, honestly.

... is that meant to imply that even if Carmilla agreed, Medb would still die before the messaged could be delivered? Because the choice is either we hope Cu's willing to do non-lethal takedowns without an order in spite of all characterization or we put our hopes in Carmilla's pragmatism.
I mean, if Cu kills Minerva, we're basically doing the other vote anyways. But I mean, why would Carmilla agree? Pass up trying to kill us now to kill us later? I mean sure Berserker is present, but she could still get to us later and I certainly hope the line was not implying that we would duel Carmilla without a Servant. Because that's just another word for suicide.

at this point we'll see how it turns out.

I mean... yeah. We had an agreement. Well, it is all depending on Carmilla not being an idiot. Which is not a big stretch, but is something of one. Like Rabbit confirmed, the moment she realizes we're alive she'll stab us. So we have to immediately re-contextualize the argument to be about getting the fight she wanted. Now obviously we're gonna need to fight with a Servant unless the Cu-abduction magically works out, but it's better to keep the promise we made than just let her be something that pulls a suicide move down the line to screw with us.

Huh. Didn't expect my vote to win here.

And the box likely would have prevented this result. Rabbit did say that we had one of two routes ahead of us.

Yeah... I don't think we did anything monumentally stupid (like pick a joke vote), but in hindsight we could have done better.

Could we have though? How were we supposed to figure out that Minerva could instant-body swap with a single touch? Or that Touko-mother-fucking-Aozaki, Queen of Puppetry, "Fuck you and your plans, I'll dance in their ashes" Scarred Red didn't have even basic DRM in our body?

She subsidized our protection programming and licensing to one of her apprentices, who fucked up because he didn't sleep enough, since he was farming in FGO at nights.

Well we couldn't have for sure. That's why I said, "in hindsight." It's not something we could have reasonably seen at the time.

Ah. I'm more used to using the phrase in situations where better choices could have been made with the knowledge available at the time. Idk, missed the the leadup to the last update and the last vote and am bathing in salt. Like, Minerva's got our body AND our waifu, AND she's better at magecraft in it then we were and our current body is crippled both physically and magically?

At least Captain Ginyu had the decency to not be able to turn Super Saiyan the second he got Goku's body.

The thing is that we were overlooking it, which I feel is reasonable, but hints were there like the continued goading and the insistence on fighting in close. Contrary to that, Minerva apparently didn't know we had two active souls, which would have made her use of the box pretty reckless - she was fully expecting that to kill us.

"Two souls... Truly... I want that body," Minerva breathed with a chuckle of disbelief, "To withstand a hundred Curses all at once, I want it more and more!"

It's within reason for us to have guessed that she was planning "something" and Rabbit did give a warning. Most of us, possibly all of us, simply couldn't figure out what it was, and I in particular saw it as a narrative choice more than a practical one.

To be fair it's not the first time she's fucked with our mind by touching us, it wasn't entirely unforeseeable

There were some hints, but not to the point where I think that we choose a stupid option.

Well, things happen, as long as the quest continues there's hope. Heck, if Rider dies but we get the grail, we can wish her back.

Well, at that point we'll be stuck in Hans' position: Reviving Medb is going to take winning quite a few Petty Wars.
Maybe. But if we use the wish to summon Medb from the Throne, we might be able to incarnate her at the same time. Because there's already a copy of her recorded.

The problem would be getting our Medb back. That might require an extra war or two.
