Honestly, you haven't generally been willing to revisit old wounds. You've never really felt it did any good to dwell on that stuff, and really, why would anyone want to bring it up in the first place? There was no real reason to, so aside from the things that obviously had to be said, you sort of let it all fall to the wayside.
It probably doesn't help that nobody ever believed you before, but that's a problem for another day. "Shinjiro-san?" You don't think you've ever been this scared of talking to him before. Even after you got that memory back, you were just more unsure of what you were going to say. Or still trying to figure out what to think in the first place.
"What is it?" He doesn't seem particularly hungry, either, which begs the question of why he made this in the first place, but hopefully the two of you will work your way through the meal eventually.
Even after what you have to say. "I... I'm sorry I said that I hated you." You can't say you didn't mean it, at the time. You were scared, and hurting, and there just so happened to be someone you could blame for all that. But that still doesn't change the fact that you wish you hadn't said it.
It probably wouldn't have really changed things. But it might have made it easier to fix later.
It doesn't take him long to realize what you were talking about. Given what happened last night, that's hardly a surprise. "Kid, that was over a year ago."
"I know, but..." But it feels like it was just yesterday. More even than when Nemi initially gave those memories back to you. "My Persona doesn't like his name."
Shinjiro-san looks at you a bit oddly, and you suppose you can't really blame him. It must seem like a pretty drastic subject change.
Still, you continue. "I don't think he ever did, really, even when I summoned him for the first time. But I didn't have anything else I could call him, so... that's what he ended up being." You know he has another name, and that he wants you to find it. But even with Akihiko-san around, you think that might be a bit unbelievable. "After last night... I agree with him. I don't want to be like this anymore."
(Ken's Expression has increased to 4!)
But how are you supposed to change it? You can't force yourself to come to an epiphany. That's not how it works.
"That makes two of us..." You don't think you were meant to hear that. "So what are you going to do about it?"
If you knew that, you would be doing it already. Well... you guess you have one idea. "I'm... going to apologize to Makoto-san." You sort of viciously attacked him, after all, that seems like something that definitely warrants some sort of apology. "It wasn't really his fault. It's not like he knew things would turn out this way." Also because you don't need two people around you with more or less the same set of issues.
Do you think Mitsuru-san would sign off on the rest of us getting therapy? That's... really starting to look like a good idea right about now.
"...Ken?"
"Yeah?"
"...You're a good kid." Somehow, that's the most reassuring thing you've heard all week.
Sadly, you can't go see Makoto-san just yet because, even after the weekend, he's still unconscious. You don't mention this to your friends from school, because this really doesn't seem like something they should be involved in, but you never thought you'd be this stressed out just wondering when someone is going to wake up.
Akihiko-san, thankfully, is doing a bit better than that. To the point where he's wondering aloud why it couldn't be his left arm that was broken, so that he could get out of going to class due to being unable to write.
You think he's mostly upset that this means people will see him in a cast, so he has to wait for everything to heal naturally, but all things considered, it could a lot worse.
Ikutsuki hasn't stopped by at all. Nobody's complaining about this, even if the cameras mean you're not allowed to plot against him inside the dorm.
Yukari-san also seems to be curious about you. You're probably going to have to tell her everything eventually. Makoto-san, too. You still haven't even started thinking about how you're going to do that, other than that the two of them deserve an explanation.
But you've got until Makoto-san wakes up to worry about that, so you'll wait to deal with that until the time comes, and focus on what's important right now. (Pick up to three.)
