I'll be honest, at this stage of the game as it were, I don't see a point in hiding names. Expectations of survival are low and propriety seems unimportant. It's not like anybody can go "ooh, your high ranking girlfriend is all safe with a cushy noble only desk job! Shame!" given that she's currently in an experimental mecha, fighting against overwhelming odds and everybody knows it.

Of course, on the flip side, propriety is probably the only thing keeping Amani together at this point. Perhaps it would be more interesting to accidentally end up mentioning the name anyway, even if she tries not to?

"YOLO, we're probably going to die anyway, who cares" is more or less the opposite of the coping mechanism Amani has consistently fallen back on for dangerous circumstances, yeah. She is proceeding as if she and Lori have a future.
